This was an absolutely fantastic guest house with phenomenal hosts. The pool was amazing for a quick night swim before bed. The decor was fun and everything had great attention to detail. My 11-yo son rated this as the best hotel he’s ever stayed in.

We had so much fun staying at the Gecko Bungalow. The adult kids loved the pool and the whole resort vibe of the pool area, outdoor sitting space and all the plants. We "older" people just enjoyed hanging at the pool and outdoor kitchen soaking in the Caribbean air. At night the place lit up and transformed into a completely different place. We had so much fun. We will be back and we will tell all our friends. Thank you so much Michelle and Scott. You both rock!!!

The Gecko is an amazing little oasis carved out near the airport. They have done such a fantastic job building out this special place. Michelle and Scott, the owners, are delightful people and extremely hospitable. There was some confusion on my end when booking, and they were very accommodating in helping to resolve it. I cannot recommend this enough for a little stay before or after your trip in Belize.

Cozy bungalow close to the airport. We had an early flight out and wanted to avoid the drive in from Belize City. This was a perfect option for us. The bedrooms were comfortable and the AC was great. We enjoyed our last evening by the pool. Communication was great. Would happily return.

I did not have ANYTHING planned, and I traveled solo. Staying at the Gecko house made my spontaneous trip feel like I went to visit my aunt and uncle! Not only was I picked up from the airport, but Scott also introduced me to his friends on the island, and they accompanied me out for my first dinner in Belize. The next day I was able to catch some great tours (also set up by Scott and Michelle) by renting their vehicle, and Scott even let me borrow cash for my trip until I could find an atm (whaaaatttttt!!!) When it was time for me to leave, Michelle set up my ride to the water taxi and showed me how to purchase my tickets. They took control of all the planning so I could study and unwind. This was BY FAR the best experience I've had at an air b &b, and I look forward to staying with them again!! Michelle, you were lovely, but Scott, this one goes out to you!!

The hosts are amazing people and the property is captivating! Whether you just lounge around the pool and tiki bar or go out on day trips it’s an amazing place to relax and explore.

What CANT we say? Superior service and attention to detail and friendly assistance whenever and as many times as you can think of anything. We enjoyed our stay very much and especially the help with our itinerary so we made the most of our visit. The pool area did not disappoint! And the best part was Chase, Juicy and Lincoln! The listing is exactly as described. We chose it for the proximity to the airport for our final night in Belize. It was not only practical for that reason but such a peaceful, relaxing end to our trip before a full day of flying home. Scott and Michelle felt like new friends with their great stories and information.

Perfect spot for us & our dogs. Beautiful pool & landscaping that will serve as your outdoor living room. Friendly & accommodating hosts (we are always hesitant to stay where owners are onsite -- but Scott & Michelle were super laid back and truly great hosts!). No full stove/oven but does have electric burners, toaster & microwave so it was easy to make breakfast before heading out for the day. This is now our go-to spot when we need to spend time in Belize City (already booked our next stay!). Highly recommended!

Simply beautiful!! We are sad that we only had one night to spend here before we flew out the next day. The pool is superb as well as the rooms. The convenience of pool side covid testing was awesome. We will be back!!

Michelle and Scott are lovely hosts. Their attention to detail and personal touch makes the Gecko Bungalow even more appealing. All pictures are accurate and represent well. The sweet bungalow is well maintained and very clean. Michelle’s responsiveness to emails was superb and her willingness to help made our stay unforgettable. We were thankful to have Scott as our navigator, and his gregarious personality was very comforting as this was our first time in Belize. The care and attention they placed on the meals and interactions with us was truly top-notch. The beautiful and private pool and outside kitchen is outstanding, and just what the doctor ordered after a long flight. When we departed, it was like leaving old friends. Thanks Michelle and Scott!

Great stay. As usual everything was immaculate. Our third stay here and it works perfect for us to visit friends in Ladyville. Rented the Kia this time to save me driving back to Teakettle before we left. It worked out great. Thanks for everything.

This is a fabulous bungalow with a fabulous hostess (thanks, Michelle!). So much information on what to do and see and how to get it done. We wish we could have stayed longer, but had to head back home the next day. A transfer to and from the airport and a night of laughs at the shrimp farm. Could not have been a better way to end our amazing experience in Belize! We'll be back...

Excellent location close to both the Belize City airports. Friendly, accommodating hosts. Best of all is the fact that the location is out of Belize City where you feel safer and away from the incessant barking dogs that seem to plague staying in the city proper.

Excellent base for all tours of Belize Felt like part of the family and the dogs are so much fun! Flat was comfortable and clean and had all we needed to really enjoy our trip

My best friend and I had never been to Belize and decided, on a whim, to pay it a visit and let me tell you ... it was AMAZING but we would not have been able to experience all that we did had it not been for the location of the bungalow and the guidance of Michelle and Scott! First of all, let me start by saying that the bungalow is perfect! It's super cute and very cozy! My family and I have been using HomeAway vs. hotels for vacation rentals since 2012 and this has been by far the most welcoming and comfortable stay I have ever experienced with a vacation rental. I usually have a hard time sleeping when I am on vacation but I slept like a baby every night we were there! Michelle and Scott really take care of you. They make you feel like you are a family member coming in for a visit! Even their dogs make you feel like family ... especially sweet Lincoln! :):):) Resort vacations are relaxing and hey, there is nothing wrong with spending 5 days on the beach drinking rum but we wanted to get out and mingle with the locals. We really wanted to explore and see all that Belize has to offer... and the bungalow is the perfect location to do that! We did and saw soooo much in the 5 days we were there thanks to Michelle and Scott! We definitely got our beach and rum time in but man did we experience so much more! Michelle and Scott made fantastic recommendations for food, places to visit and helped us book excursions to ensure that we were safe and taken care of! They even rented us their car and got us to and from the airport ... which was a HUGE help! We are already planning our next trip to Belize and the Gecko Bungalow!
