3 Moms 4 Teen girls and we had a wonderful stay! We felt safe (apartments next door but no issues) off street parking, nice restaurants near by. Owners Very accommodating and this unit was very comfortable and adequately equipped for short or long term rental. Please note you will see posts about a baby gate. Its at the top of a stairwell to an exterior door only. Its made to sound like it separates from a living area down stairs. Not the case. We would definitely stay there again. This place was perfect for adult children + their spouses looking to establish some space/boundaries with local Boomer parents. In all seriousness, very accessible and great location! The space was clean and well appointed. We greatly enjoyed our stay for Thanksgiving!

The apartment is exactly what we needed. It was enough area for all of us. We wasn’t on top of one another. The washing machine was great to have to watch the show close both bathrooms were wonderful and the beds were magnificent. We look forward to it for next year.

The property was even better than the description and pictures revealed. Not only is it super close to everything in Louisville, the neighborhood has a safe-suburban feel. They also had coffee and snacks available (which my kids loved!) and there were the most delicious fresh baked cookies waiting for us when we arrived.

Great location to start your bourbon run.

Great bungalow in a great neighborhood for our Bourbon Trail getaway. Slept four guys very comfortably. Close to downtown for easy access to the "Urban Bourbon" tour stops as well as great dining options. James was a very helpful "concierge" and took care of our every need.

We were in town for an event at the Expo Center and this property was perfect for our needs! The host was inviting upon arrival and gave great recommendations for restaurants we wouldn’t have ventured to on our own. It’s a charming part of town that felt very safe. The home was clean and worked perfectly for our needs. Looking forward to coming back!

The beds were all very comfortable and the home had garbage bags, paper towels, coffee, laundry detergent etc which was very nice for our short trip in Louisville. Walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. And the fresh baked cookies were a big hit with all the kids. Great price for a great rental. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and perfect for a girls weekend away! Loved the cookies! Only issues we had were the baby gate at the top of the steps is kind of alarming, anyone can walk up. Kind of creepy. The people below I’m assuming owners were up working on outside of house early which woke us up. There is no location outside to sit as the pictures showed, no patio or garden to sit in. The gate was locked and the owners were doing maintenance on the outside. Other than that good location, awesome beds and rooms. Kitchen and living room were perfect size for us.

The apartment is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The owners provide very nice extras with fresh baked cookies, snacks, coffee and toiletries. It is a very short easy ride to downtown Louisville. We very much enjoyed our stay. The description of property on VRBO was missing the fact that the apartment is on the second story and there is a pretty high stair case to access apartment. Our group was 6 seniors ages 66 to 80, although we are able bodied and didn't have a problem with stairs others in our age group may struggle. There was yellow jackets swarming near stair case which made it difficult to pass with ease. I feel the patio area feels off limits as it's fenced off. The property was very clean, with super comfortable beds and a great location. Not sure it's really walking distance to restaurants, etc. but certainly easy driving to everything. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The reserved parking is a plus. A great surprise were ample snacks and fresh chocolate chip cookies which lasted us the week and were delicious. The apartment has a great washer and dryer set which we appreciated the opportunity to use. We do feel the listing could be more forthcoming with some facts. It indicates there is outdoor space for guest use. There is a backyard but the gate was locked during our entire stay and according to notes inside the apartment, their dogs are only friendly with the owners present. Also, the listing indicates we would have access to the entire upstairs, which is true. The issue we feel it fails to disclose is the stairs to the bottom floor are open with only a child gate at the top. Very strange. Aside from these, our stay was nice.

If you're browsing through your options and this listing available, don't think twice and book it immediately! Neighborhood is upscale and central to all things walkable. Property owner and manager are the most gracious and accommodating hosts we've ever encountered in a rental scenario. We were welcomed with a huge plate of homemade cookies, snacks etc. The place is spotless and beds are extremely comfy. Thanks James and team!

Stayed here a few nights with family. The apartment is very nice. There's parking behind the house and lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

Allowed us to check in early since we arrived very early in the morning. Can’t forget the cookies they made for all us! Great experience

We had 5 people come into Louisville for a football game. This apartment was in a great location. The manager was very helpful with dining recommendations. The apartment was very clean and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Renting this property was extremely efficient. I emailed the property manager with a few questions and received responses within minutes. The home is clean, in a safe neighborhood, offered plenty of easy parking and was exactly as described. We plan to return to this home for our future stays.

We had a very nice stay at the Highlands Happy place. James was very accommodating to work with And our unit was just right for 6 adults Very nicely decorated. The living room was a nice space to gather and enjoy the chocolate chip Cookies.A little more counter space in the Kitchen would be helpful but we managed. The location was fantastic. Close to a lot to do in Louisville.

If you are visiting Louisville, this is a great place to stay. The location was convenient, the neighborhood was nice, and there was plenty of room for out group(5 people). There were fresh chocolate chip cookies every day which was a nice touch! The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that the pictures and description led me to believe that there was a good sized patio that could be used to sit outside at night and that was not really the case. There was a very small concrete area with no chairs and that was about it. Not a major issue, but if you are looking for a good outdoor space with your rental, maybe look elsewhere
