This is a very comfortable and spacious apartment. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked several times. We enjoyed the location, just out of the centre of Ambleside - a few minutes walk. Close to shops, good pubs and cafés. We used it as a base for excellent walks and trail runs, such as up Wanfell Pike. The parking is ok for two cars, as long as you don't have a massive car. The only gripe is the washing machine, which did not work and there was no warning not to use it. So we did try to use it and ended up with wet, unwashed clothes. We tried to report this problem but could never get through on the phone. Still, we had a lovely stay. The top bedroom was huge with a huge bed and ensuite bathroom. This was our second visit to Tottle Bank. The property has plenty of space and the quality of the furnishings is high, the beds are very comfy too. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of crockery so that you don't have to put the dishwasher on after every meal. Parking for 2 cars is a bonus too. It's just a short walk into Ambleside town center where you will find a good range of shops (outdoor clothing, gifts etc), pubs and restaurants. There is a small play park nearby and an excellent one within Rothay Park.

A great location from which to explore the Lake District.
