Cozy house, felt like home. Great place on the water, perfect if you have a boat!

This was the second year we have rented this property. The owners are putting money back into it to keep it up to the standard it deserves for the location.

We loved the house! The noise from the planes overhead is a little loud sometimes (not at night), but otherwise, very relaxing. Right on the water and the view is spectacular. The beds and other furniture are very comfortable. The inside is very up to date. The owners are quick with communication. We would stay again. 5/5

Overall good experience. House was well equipped and back yard was set up quite well. Only negative is the amount of debris in the boat slip which is obviously out of the homeowners control.

We loved staying here! The house was spotless and well stocked. Manatees came to visit and we spotted somes dolphins. Couldn't have asked for a better experience... the owner called us to make sure all was well. They also responded to emails right away and were very pleasant and accessible. The homes location is great. The weather was cold and windy during our stay so we were unable to enjoy the outdoor areas as much as we would like to have. Manatees came right up to the seawallbehind the house which was really cool.

I have stayed here twice with my family. The boat slip is great. We rented a boat and witnessed the most beautiful sunsets. Three bedrooms upstairs. There is a screened area downstairs with fans. It’s very pleasant. I will probably stay here again.

We rented this home for our family/friend trip to the keys. The home was perfect. We had great communication with the owner, who was quick to offer any help needed. We found the property to be located very conveniently, close to several restaurants and not far from Publix. The amenities were excellent, WiFi was fast, kitchen was very well stocked. The boat slip was well maintained and has water and power at the dock, which faces the flats, making for better wave protection than the homes that face the reef. We enjoyed our time here and look forward to renting this property for our next trip!

The property is very comfortable but the cleaning part is like they didn’t even cleaned it full of dog hairs the vacuum is broken they left a lil garbage bad n front of the door and a dirty white cooler on the back the door handles were loose we fixed it I don’t have enough space to write everything wrong with it the property it self is beautiful but it needs more cleaning literally deep cleaning that’s what I do for a leaving and if I would had left a property just half as dirty as that property I would had been fire on the spot

We really enjoyed our stay here! House was clean and comfortable! Beautiful views of the gulf! We’ll definitely look to stay here again!

Lovely home & location.

From all the high reviews I thought that this property would be a lot nicer than it was. When we checked in we had an initial problem. In one of the bedrooms the window would not close so the room was hot, the AC vent was sweating, and it was loud from outdoor noise. I called the owner and he said he would have someone out Monday (did not take care of problem right away). I told the owner I would get a garbage bag and duct tape at the Publix and seal it up. He offered no reimbursement for me doing this. Well that night there was a loud party a few houses down and no one could sleep in that room. My 85 year old Mom ended sleeping on the couch. Monday comes by and I text owner at 10:00 when is someone coming by to fix the window. No answer. At 2:30 I call….no answer. Around 3:30 I finally hear from the owner and he says he will try and get someone out. You have to hound this owner because he is slow to respond (another review said the same thing with a dryer issue). He seemed to try and dodge the situation. Finally two nice guys came over and fixed the window. Overall I think this owner is cheap, non-responsive, and the property was nowhere as nice as the pictures. I stay at a lot of VRBO’s and this was the worst experience for me.

After two missed years (thanks COVID!) we finally made it back to Marathon and our lovely rental. This was the sixth time we've stayed at this beautiful house. The updates in the bedrooms and bathrooms, the new appliances, the waterfront, everything was perfect. It was the most relaxing week we've had in a long, long time. We will definitely return next year.

The house is great but there was a very unpleasant smell coming from decaying sea grass that collects and is trapped in the boat slip. It limited our time sitting outside.

The house suited our need very nicely. Master bedroom and guest bedrooms are on opposite sides of house which worked well for privacy. Nice view of ocean. We enjoyed kayaking in the canals right around the corner and were able to see manatees. Marathon is central to many outdoor activities.

This is our second time in less than a year that a group of friends have rented this amazing home. It's absolutely beautiful....so tastefully decorated and equipped with anything and everything you could possibly need or desire. The large private fenced yard, the landscaping and the views are spectacular. We always rent a boat so the large boat slip is wonderful to have. The Manatee came by everyday and we caught snapper and fought tarpon right from the back yard. Seriously....once we get here we don't even want to leave except to go boat riding. Sandra's home is truly a gem in paradise. Can't wait to go back!! Thank you Sandra's for hosting us!! Hope to see you again real soon ❤️

This home is perfect! Super clean and nice! We loved having the boat dock and the view is beautiful! We couldn’t have asked for anymore! Can’t wait to come back!

GREAT, Didnt

Little things aside, overall this was a super place to bring your pups and boat. Fenced back yard, electric and freshwater wash at dock. No rear neighbors, great landscaping, trailer parking and just a few miles to a boat ramp. Vaca cut just around the point. Bait to be caught/ cast netted off the back wall (with a little chum of course). Capt Hooks at Vaca for air fills and gas/ bait. Modern tv and internet, beds were nice as were the showers and kitchen. Bring some ice with you for drinks (albeit we did leave some new ice trays, lol)

Our son and his friends had rented this place several times and had nothing but good things to say about it. Everything they said was true and we certainly weren’t disappointed.. We are planning on making it an annual trip. Thanks for the memories.

Great property with amazing view. Large boat slip was great and large enough to secure a 24’ CC and a 17’ CC. Fenced yard was great for the dog. Location was very convenient to boat ramp, dive shops, grocery store, and restaurants. Would look to book this place again.

We could not have been happier with the accommodations. The house and property were well taken care of and very clean. We will be staying there again in the near future.

House was perfect for a week long fishing trip. Close to everything and had everything we needed. Plenty of wash down hoses and even power at the dock! Right around the corner from Vaca cut. Perfect location.

The property and view was just as beautiful as pictured. Accommodations were very comfortable. Great vacation spot.

We absolutely loved our stay at this house. I can't say enough about it. The location, the cleanliness & condition of the property, the amenities, the comfort of the beds and living areas, the ease of checking in & out... I could go on with all the little things that made this house one of the very best of many we've rented. Our favorite things about it were the fenced backyard that sits directly on the water, facing the gulf and the enormous screened in living area under the house. If I were to add anything at all it would be a hammock or something to nap on down there :) It's a very easy place to relax, as the breeze is always coming through the gated entrance to that space and you're gazing out over the beautiful open seas! Also, Sandra was very kind and accommodating when we had to make a couple of changes to our reservation... we hope to stay again real soon!

We enjoyed the home and dockage. The downstair screened area was excellent. There was tables, chairs, small refrigerator and freezer for bait. Also, a bar area with stools, bathroom with shower. We spent most of our free time there. The dockage had an encove which protected the boat from the wind. The home did need more bath towels each bathroom. There were no dish towels in the kitchen. However, our stay was excellent.

We visit the Keys every year and have stayed at the same property until now. So glad we found this home! Everything top notch...from awesome bedding, fully equipped kitchen, decorated beautifully and the views from deck and screened porch were FANTASTIC. Sandra was a great host and we are already planning our next trip back. Truly an amazing experience!

First pulled into the property, there were 6 garbage & recycling cans, brimming in the driveway. As I pulled further into the driveway, there was a spare tire, more garbage, recycling bins, cinder blocks, and lumber lining the side gate to the property. No curb appeal at all. Sad & sorry that I had picked this property upon 1st impression & was ready to bag it & go to Amara Cay in Islamorada. I searched for the "key box" that was to be on the downstairs door. Perplexed, we walked the property- entered through screen porch & to our surprise, simply entered the unlocked house. We cautiously walked through- and then back out the front door only to realize the lock box was on the front security gate in the driveway. We did not feel secure at the property, and realized that there no keyless deadbolts on any of the inside doors. Anyone with a key could easily enter any of the doors. The door on the upstairs porch did not lock properly & was easily pushed open. The grass was brown & dead in the yard- clearly there was an issue with the irrigation system- many exposed PVC pipes & holes. Just did not have a resort vibe, at all. Throughout the week, I watered the trees & grass- & things began to turn green with a little TLC. Grill was filled with garbage & debris, and was in disrepair (I did report this as we really wanted to grill fish through the week- someone came 1st day when we drove to KW & cleaned/fixed up the grills a bit, for which I thanked). There were broken rum bottles along the side of the house/broken glass by screen door- which I also reported, but had not been cleaned up. I did not appreciate broken glass at a property such as this. The boat slip was full of sea grass- and more garbage- tried to scoop it out but it was so thick it actually broke our crab net. We canceled our boat rental plans, shame since slip was selling point. We were surprised by the clarity of the water at the house- not 1 day of blue/green or clear water- just brackish / brownish & on most days so much grass that it was difficult to fish from the bulkhead. We tried every type of bait, lures and caught a total of 5 fish entire week. Did love daily visit w/manatees! Kitchen is laid out strange, with a sink against a wall and stove many steps away. Dishwasher was locked shut/broken, had to wash all dishes; bleached/sterilized all flatware/dishware in sink to start VC. "Junk drawers" were brimming with junk. The palm trees pretty= but can't see water!

I panicked a little when I couldn't initially access the property, but got ahold of the owner and quickly worked things out. Otherwise, the property was absolutely as described and a perfect place to stay while exploring the keys. Quiet and private. The manatees swam right up to the dock and we got to see them up close and even pet them! The sand on the property was perfect for sand castles and games. These Iowa kids were in heaven!

We really enjoyed hanging out at the waters edge. It was beautiful. The house was clean but the kitchen is set up very odd with the stove completely separate from the sink and dishwasher. The Screened in section under the house could use new outdoor furniture. It was well worn.
