Very clean, spacious, and located in a quiet and peaceful gated community. Location, on the west side of the island is great. Family: 2 adults, 3 kids (plenty of space) Duration: 7 days Plenty of towels, dishes and appliances. The third bathroom (outside) is great and very clean. The infinity pool was warm all day/night and in great condition. Kids loved the miniature golf too. Thanks for sharing the house with us, it definitely made our stay on the big island that much more enjoyable. It also offers great views of the sunset!! Tip: be sure to use the beach chairs and umbrellas, the sand and sun are hot.

This home exceeded our expectations, especially in terms of location, ocean views, the peaceful and safe neighborhood, and the ease of making ourselves at home for our long stay on the Big Island. It was a great home base to return to each day after our great adventures. And while the home does not have central air conditioning, the fans were a nice touch that helped us acclimate to the Big Island climate. I recommend this property for any family looking for a relaxing stay in this wondrous place!

Sunsets from the pool were absolutely breath taking. Place had good amount of spices and cooking supplies there when we arrived. Was worried about no AC but with the number of fans available wasn't an issue for anyone and we had very little ocean breeze during our stay. Would definitely stay here again. As matter of fact if I didn't have to go back to work we would have extended our vacation for another week.

This house is exactly as described. Beautiful property in gated community. The house was clean and beautiful. The only issue we had was related to the pool. The day we checked in we received a note that the pool needed water and it would take 10 hours to fill. It actually took 3 days to fill and an additional day for the pool company to fix the issue that caused the pool to empty. Despite this issue with the pool, we had a wonderful time in this house. It is close to several beaches, grocery stores, and is in a quiet gated community. They provided all the bathroom toiletries, kitchen products, and had beach chairs and toys. We will definitely stay again. Because of the pool issue, I wish I could give 4.5 stars. Fortunately we stayed 9 days and had 5 days to use the pool.

This property has the BEST location! 10 minutes from downtown Kona and related piers for excursions. Beautiful infinity pool, putting green and hot tub for your enjoyment. Completely stocked kitchen with an amazing spice cabinet. I stayed with my husband, two daughters, mom, sister, niece and nephew and we had the most memorable, glorious, amazing vacation. David, the Concierge that came with the property was absolutely on point and wonderful! He booked all of our excursions and knocked it out of the park! The property is located in a stunning gated community. Five stars across the board!!!!

Overall we had a great time at this house. The neighborhood is beautiful, safe and quiet. Outside the bird of paradise and hibiscus flowers were blooming. There are some fruit trees behind the garage also. The geckos and little colorful lizards were so fun to see in the vegetation. Loved the gift bag upon arrival, Kona coffee was the BEST! The kitchen is very well stocked with everything for eating, drinking, cooking and baking. Plenty of spices, (we added to them). We were happy to find some water floats (even though we brought our own) because the pool water was a bit too cold to swim in. The jacuzzi was perfect for the cooler nights. Beds were clean and comfortable. Not having A/C was not a problem. A beautiful ocean breeze cooled the house off enough to sleep along with the ceiling fans. The house is close to shopping, Kahalu’u beach for snorkeling and much more. Lounging on the lanai with the awesome view was amazing. Putting green was a nice extra. Pool light did not work and the lanai toilet chain broke. Both were fixed immediately. We were a quite disappointed with some of the maintenance and cleaning of the house. A definite 5+ stars if these issues were fixed.

Great home in a beautiful neighborhood. The views are outstanding and the layout of the home was perfect for my family. A few things need maintenance (doors to the lanai and floors are showing some wear) but other wise the home was very clean. Contact with the property manager for small issues was prompt and they handled our questions. Would definitely stay again.

This gated community was probably build in the late 80s early 90s so some of these properties are somewhat dated. Our house was clean and better than the online pics. Beautiful pool patio to watch sunset at the end of each day. I would press KonaCoast (property manager) on specific details of houses as our friends stayed in a house one block away also managed by KonaCoast and it was NOT worth the money and did not fit the online description.

We stayed here 3 years ago and this time noticed a decline in the cleanliness. Also the ice maker was broken, there were multiple broken tiles in the bottom of the pool and there was no place to put the recycling. Could definitely be cleaned better. There was a dead cockroach by the tub in the master bathroom that you could tell had been there a while. Also dirt/tile pieces under master tub.

Had a wonderful time in the location with family. Was greeted at the gate and had no problems getting in and settled. House was ready for us with fans and windows opened with bonus baby frogs! For the most part, house and grounds were clean with plenty of towels for all, good mattress, enough personal space to escape, pool and golf punting areas good. The only disappointing portion was that the pool needs some badly tile repairs - it's not a very good pool for young kids (pool really too deep for them unless they are swimmers), pool's automatic cleaners needs to be looked at (pool was clean but that darn thing never moved) back tile deck needs a little more cleaning due to birds leaving their mark, hot tub didn't work for us at all, some of the kitchen appliances had issues that need repair and/or replace, and no batteries in the smoke alarm - was asked to do recycling of trash but no designated trash bin for pickup so we were not able to do that request. Great places to eat - Sam Choy, Acai' Bowls, Rocks on the Beach, Jackie Rey's were some of our favorites. But in all had a wonderful time in Kona with our family. For what we paid for this rental (including others) - hopefully the owners will take into consideration the issues and get them addressed. Would love to visit this place again. This house has the potential to be really the best.

Positives:Beautiful house well equipped with great pool, very quiet gated community. Convenient .very secure. Great for large group....plenty of space. Good WiFi and cable in every room . Grocery store, takeout etc 6mins away, 15mins from Kailua restaurants etc. 20mins from harbor for tours. Great pool with sunset views. Overall we loved it and enjoyed being at the house hanging at the pool or in the Lana’i. Good star watching Cons; No AC it got very hot and stuffy some nights we were there in July. Cooktop and second shower head in bathroom and safe were broken. We didn’t complain as it didn’t affect us We cooked outside and got take out. 2 hour drive to the volcano park and Hilo and one hour from best beach Hapuna. Lots of towels but no beach chairs or boogie boards. Would have been great to have a good umbrella and chairs but you can rent them at hapuna.

We have stayed in Keauhou Estates for years in their VRBO’s and by far this was the most expensive and least maintained home. The maintenance guy had to come over on 3 separate occasions to fix major items. Hot tub was broken, master bedroom was missing privacy shades & shower head was broken in master bedroom, water leak in 2nd bathroom, Internet wasn’t working properly, screen doors and outside main doors didn’t lock or work properly. The carpets were stained and the overall condition of the house needs upgrades. We could have stayed at a hotel that was just as nice and a lot less expensive and everything would have worked properly. I would not recommend staying in this VRBO.

Stocked kitchen (food was all we needed), multiple bathroom/showers got us out of the house quickly. Great wifi for the kids. Towels, washer/dryer, I can't say enough of how perfect of a home away from home it was. Cons-hot tub and side pool light didn't work. Called maint. (very responsive) and hot tub fixed, pool light wasn't so no night dips. We stayed in August and the locals even said it's rarely that hot. Almost everyday mid 80's to 90. Humidity 50-70%. No A/C, so it was very muggy and hard to sleep some nights. Outside it was cooler either front or side of house, but air wasn't moving inside well (even with ceiling fans). Oldest boy slept outside by pool one night. Couldn't shut up house when we left during the day because inside temperature became unbearable, and screens didn't lock. So we were told to leave house open. We locked valuables in the safe, but felt uncomfortable having to leave the house open and unlocked all day and at night while we slept. Gated community and security drives around, but I'd like to see that matter resolved for future renters. I didn't feel unsafe, but all of us having to leave our bedrooms doors open at night to try to circulate the air (no privacy) and then having all the screens unlocked was something we had to get used to. Knowing that heat/humidity is rare, even in August, means the next renters in Aug. may not have the same experience. In the end, we did love the house and enjoyed it greatly. The layout was great and the sunsets amazing. Clean rental and lots of supplies. The home is decorated beautifully. Our stay was wonderful. Thank you!
