Marie’s cottage was such a lovely home to stay in while we visited Bar Harbor. The house was clean, comfortable and cozy. It was so nice to have a kitchen and washer and dryer to use during our week in town. It was a short walk into Bar Harbor and a very short drive into the park. I drove to Eagle Lake to run daily and it only took me 5 minutes. Marie was so easy to communicate with and very responsive. Would definitely rent again!

As described, this place is really the perfect location in Bar Harbor. It was a nice place from which my husband and children to enjoy Acadia. However, we had some communications with the host that were very offputting. A family member, who was staying nearby pulled into our spot in the driveway for literally 10 minutes to say hello and we immediately got an email from the host basically threatening to call the police if he pulled into the driveway again. We are all for respecting rules, but this communication felt quite rude. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Quaint cottage perfectly located just a few blocks from Bar Harbor main street with easy access to Acadia National Park. First most important is we were able to walk via sidewalks to all things related to Bat Harbor within minutes. Added benifit was the cottage location was such that you didnt have to go through downtown Bar Harbor to get to the parks and other destinations. Marie responded to all communication quickly. If you and the family are coming to visit Bar Harbor /Acadia this is a great property to stay at

We stayed with our 3 and 4 year old kiddos and the house was perfect for us! The kids really adored the play house, that was a great touch! It was close enough to town that we walked in for dinner and shopping with the kids in a wagon, and also a super short drive to get into Acadia. Also great communication with Marie! Thanks so much!

Great location, walking distance to downtown Bar Harbour and short drive to Acadia National Park entrance. Quiet neighborhood and good host. The accommodations are as expected with plenty of amenities to cook meals if you wanted and perfect for 3 adults. The only minor ding for the property is there is only one bathroom and it is located on the second floor. Overall, this would be a great place for a small family or couple as there is plenty of room.

We really enjoyed this cottage for our 5 day stay in Bar Harbor. It is clean, comfortable, and appropriately stocked for beds, bath, cooking, etc. Within walking distance from Main St, many restaurants and stores, 1/2 mile from Acadia National Park. So easy to get around and so much to see in this beautiful part of Maine! Thank you Marie for allowing us to stay at Chickadee Cottage!

My family and I had a great time visiting bar harbor. This place was perfect. So close to town and also to Acadia NP, we were very happy with our stay.

I stayed here with my spouse and MIL, and the place was perfect for our week-long trip to Bar Harbor. We could walk into town and the park was super close by car. The house was cute, clean and the beds were comfortable. Very sweet, quiet neighborhood.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Chickadee Cottage. Everything was just as pictured. The kitchen was equipped with all the basic items needed to make meals if desired. Neighborhood is awesome, close enough to walk to local stores and restaurants. Can’t wait to go back!

Great place to stay in Bar Harbor. Three comfortable bedrooms and well equipped kitchen with plenty of space. Only one bathroom for the four of us but it worked out fine. We were concerned about no air-conditioning but there were plenty of fans including window fans that kept it really cool and comfortable at night. Nice little yard with lots of shade where we often sat out during the day. The only drawback for me is that it was a little bit further away from downtown than I had expected but we got used to the walk. Place was very clean and owner was incredibly responsive. Whenever we contacted her we got an almost immediate response. Would highly recommend staying here.

Well kept house, 5-10 minute walk to down town Bar Harbor. Owner was very nice and helpful with local knowledge and they did not respectfully interfere with us. On site laundry was very helpful too. Weather was uncharacteristically hot so it was hot inside the house as there wasn’t good cross ventilation. That probably isn’t typical weather though. Highly suggest this location!

We planned for a week in Bar Harbor and Acadia for hiking, biking, and exploring. On previous trips we stayed in Southwest Harbor and outside of town, but this time we wanted to be within walking distance of the town's amenities. The Chickadee Cottage was perfect for our needs! Twelve minute walk to the grocery store, ten minutes to restaurants and shopping, a short drive from the park entrance, and a comfortable place to rest and relax between adventures. When we checked in, it was clean and felt more spacious than the pictures show. We would definitely stay here again!

This house was cleaner than I have mine before having company over! Everything about the description and photos was accurate, and the hosts were very responsive throughout the booking process and our stay. From the house we were able to walk into Bar Harbor (with children, 6 & 9 yo), and walk to trails within Acadia. Perfect location, comfortable home, very clean, and reasonably priced. This little cottage is perfect for families coming to Bar Harbor! The location was wonderful- walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor, just outside of Acadia and a playground down the street! We were able to fit so much more in since we weren’t driving everywhere and looking for parking. Our son loved the little playhouse outside of the cottage as well. The house was well stocked with comfortable beds and a cozy living area. Marie was always very responsive and a great host.

We loved our stay. This location is less than a 15 minute walk to downtown and just a few miles from Acadia. Easy parking! Home has everything you need including washer and dryer and kitchen though we ate out most of the time. Would recommend!

The cottage was roomy and had everything we could need. We loved the location in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance to a park, trails and downtown Bar Harbor. We could easily drive to various locations in Acadia and on Mt Desert Island

We had such a great vacation last week! The cottage was just right for our family of 3! The location was top notch - close to Acadia Park access and walking distance to town. There was even a farmers' market on Sunday right around the corner! We enjoyed being able to avoid parking by walking into town for some meals, shopping and of course ice cream. The parking situation in Bar Harbor is less than ideal, so this is a huge perk for this house! The house was very comfortable. The kitchen was nicely appointed with everything we needed to make breakfasts and dinners a few night. The living room was cozy and the seating was just fine for the 3 of us. We didn't make use of the downstairs bedroom other than a staging area of backpacks and such. The queen size bed was comfortable and the room was spacious with 2 closets and a dresser. The full bed was also comfortable with just enough space for a bedroom for our son. The bathroom was just fine and the shower had great water pressure. The owners respected our privacy, but were quick to respond to messages. They are right next door, but we never even saw them! Marie and Kyle, you have a gem of a place! We would gladly stay here again when we visit Bar Harbor/Acadia in the future. It was so wonderful to have a home base while exploring Mount Desert Island!

Great location - easy walk to town but far enough away to be peaceful at night. Quick access to Acadia. The cottage itself was very clean. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay. Property is exactly as described. Close but far enough away from downtown Bar Harbor. The children’s park is 2 blocks away and is modern and well equipped. COVID-19 arrangements were handled in a professional manner. Glad it was available for us. We highly recommended it!

chickadee cottage is a perfect combination of convenience to Bar Harbor and Acadia. We could conveniently get to hiking the park in just a few minutes and then in the evenings walk or drive into Bar Harbor for dinner, shopping, or relaxing on the town green. The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation with our 4 year old. Close proximity to the park playground was ideal as well as the well equipped kitchen and laundry. The beds were all comfortable and the place was neat and tidy. We look forward to another trip back in the future.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The kitchen had all the necessary items and we put the BBQ grill to good use. The upstairs bed was VERY comfortable and the shower head had good pressure. We enjoyed the short walk into town and the quiet neighborhood. Unfortunately we checked in during a heat wave, and even with all the windows open, the cottage was very warm. Fans were provided, but having a/c would have been ideal. No one could have predicted a heat wave in early June and I can only imagine how it might be in the summer! Regardless, we had a lovely stay despite the heat wave. We only saw Kyle and Marie. We had no formal introduction. They definitely give guests their privacy. The cottage was just perfect for the two of us. Thank you for an great visit!

The house was perfect for us! My mom, sister, and I spent 4 nights at chickadee cottage and it was exactly what we needed. Perfect location! We walked into town for our morning coffee (chocolatte was our favorite), evening meals, and just to wander around town and walk the harbor area. Then just a short drive to the park where we did a lot of hiking! It had everything we could possibly need for a few days and was very cozy and comfortable. Maria was very responsive to any questions I had prior to arrival as well. Definitely recommended staying at chickadee cottage if you are heading to Bar Harbor!

Great stay with our family! (two young boys ages 1 and 3). Property was clean and exactly as described. Marie and her family were super friendly and responsive to all our questions. They even had a high chair for us to borrow. The playhouse on the property was a hit with the kids. Super short walk to the local park which was awesome! Walkable to Main Street for all the shops and restaurants. Short drive to Acadia! We hope to come back!
