Great house and John is an amazing property owner. The communication was excellent. We came here for a concert at Red Rocks and this house was in a convenient place to get there. Near lots of restaurants and shopping, but the house is in a quiet neighborhood. Best of both worlds. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I drove up from Florida to stay at John’s place. Not only was it gorgeous, super convenient, and beyond comfortable, John was AMAZING! He gave great recommendations, checked in on us, was super communicative, and even helped us when I got our car stuck in the snow from an unexpected storm. We loved it so much, we never wanted to leave. Thanks so much!!!

Good time

We have stayed at this location twice now and will return again when we get back to Denver. John is very good to deal with -- we had to change the reservation dates and John worked with us on that. The downstairs is clean and spacious and comfortable. John provides a lot of useful information about local neighborhoods, attractions, and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Great location for Red Rocks, and John’s parking tips were excellent!

Took a solo trip for a 2 day concert at Red Rocks and some exploring in the Denver area. John was very helpful in providing some great suggestions on food, things to do, etc. The property is well kept and clean. About 20 min from red rocks, short drive to Garden of the Gods, Idaho Springs, Mt. Evans and much more! The central location and steam shower were my favorite things about this property. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of off street parking, and the property was quiet. The unit is spacious with plenty of seating and a small kitchen. Check in and out was easy and the house rules were clearly outlined in a nice binder provided by the property owner. Be sure to check out this binder for great exploring and restaurant ideas. One thing to mention is that there are 3 units on this property. I rented the downstairs unit. People were in the other 2 units but I wouldnt have known if a car wasnt parked in the driveway. This is a perfect location for Red Rocks. I was able to explore an area each day of my trip, make it back to shower and change, and head out to red rocks for my concert with plenty of time on both nights. Also about 30-45 minutes from the airporrt, Idaho Springs, 45 min- 1 hr to Mt. Evans, and 1-1.5 hrs to Colorado Springs John is an excellent host, his property inviting, and the location is superb. I recommend anyone visiting the Denver area that is looking for a convienent, centralized location to consider this property for your next stay

Space was clean and beds were very comfortable. Location was great for going into the city as well as going hiking.

Very nice property with an amazing bed

My husband and I took our daughter to the area to celebrate her 20th birthday at a concert at Red Rocks. This was a perfect location. John sent info with his "local tips" and they are awesome! We ate at several of his suggested local spots and didn't have a bad meal or eat at a single national chain. This place was awesome and in a quiet, nice neighborhood. Self check-in was simple and the place had everything we needed. Book this place today, get a burger at Lakewood Grill, grab breakfast at Rupert's, and coffee from Novo! We also took a day to drive to Garden of the Gods as suggested by John and rented e-bikes. What a fun day we had admiring God's creation.

A cozy basement that worked perfect for our needs. Positive vibes. It was way bigger than we needed. Quiet. Shower was a plus! Some rules to follow, but I totally get that people dont respect things or property that isnt theirs. Lots of tips and insights from host. It was really a pleasure staying here. We went to red rocks and it was super convenient to that and Cervantes (concert venue). Will recommend to friends! Thanks John!

Listing pictures are outdated - would have been good to know. Instead of big red chair, there is another large rounded sofa, 2 chairs, and coffee table. Office now has one desk pushed against a wall and the other wall has low cabinets. The kitchen has been remodeled. It has a full-size refrigerator (without an icemaker) and a wide sink. There is a toaster oven, microwave, regular coffee maker (no pods), and a hot plate and pans in the cabinets. Not a lot of glassware, but dishes for four. No DW. I stayed with a roommate and we each had a room. My mom and son joined us partway through and each slept on a large sofa with room to spare. Great WiFi. Nice linens. Quiet area. The parts you “use” were clean, but there were cobwebs and the carpet in the King bedroom was wet from all the rain. There were some oddities you might/might not care about: - The house has 3 VRBO rentals: upstairs and you hear walking noise, and an RV parked on the side of the house. Enough parking though. - You can completely secure it, but there are a LOT of doors in it that you have to lock from the inside. - There is a door that can be locked by the upstairs people or cleaners that locks you out of the house. Luckily owner responded within 10 minutes. -Shower nozzles are hard to use. - a/c vents (no control) provide some air, but likely not super cool on hot days. 1 portable fan in each room. - Amazon Alexa listening(?!?!) - not enough paper products for 5 night stay for 2 people

The Basement Apt was perfect for us as we ventured north, south, west and a tic east. Visited Pikes Peak, Estes Park, Mt Evans Idaho Springs. All within 2 hours. Place was clean and had all major necessities. Simple and efficient. Owner was very accomodating and respectrd our privacy. Great little efficiency. Rich and Lisa

Great place to spread out.

This location was the best for getting around the area. Short drive to Red Rocks Amphitheater, which was the reason for our trip. The place itself was comfortable and cozy. Easy to find with plenty of parking. The host checked in before and after our stay, and also was available for needs if we had any. I will look for this place again on my next trip!

John's home was perfect for out last minute trip to catch a Red Rocks concert! We will definitely stay again when we have more time to enjoy the amenities like the real fireplace and beautiful outdoor space.

The property was clean, accessible, well located and served us well. More important than the property quality was the sincere, personal and deeply caring touch that John (Host) had with us during a very emotional 5 days during which time are beloved 33-year-old son passed away in a Denver hospital. My wife and I cannot speak highly enough of John! If there is a super super host category that VRBO is considering, he does belong there.

The Fireplace Getaway was everything we look for in a rental. It was very cozy and the furnishings and decor were really cool and unique. We had everything we needed for a two night stay and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. The steam shower was a definite plus. John is an excellent host. He is very friendly and accommodating and his detailed manuel covers everything you need to know about the property and the surrounding area.

The home was in a very nice residential neighborhood. Quick access to grocery stores, shopping, etc. John was wonderful and check in was easy-breezy. The home is very tastefully decorated and the beds were better than any 5 star hotel! One of our friends uses a wheelchair (18") and the property is actually pretty accessible. There were a few door jambs to pop the chair over but overall, not that bad! We ran into an issue with the bathroom door, contacted John, and received approval to remove it for our stay. He was very accommodating and I cannot stress enough how important that was, it made it so that our friend could stay with us. Speaking of the bathroom, you HAVE to try the steam shower, it's pure heaven. The outdoor patio area was lovely and overall I would stay here again in a second.

Everything was so easy and perfect! Not only is the location perfect for hitting a concert at red rocks but it’s also very close to anything and everything you could need! Inside was very nice and homey, there was already nice heaters on when I arrived, this was amazing since it was 28 outside lol. The host is so amazing, on arrive I had a long night and didn’t realize the lock was on the door infront of me so I called a bit late and the host was more than helpful and had awesome cheerful vibes! 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone! Note you will be in a lower level of a house but we barely heard any noise aside from footsteps(which you can barely hear anyways/isn’t loud and creaking) very beautiful/well made home! Oh and you gotta try the steam shower, it’s AMAZING! ♥️

My friends and I flew to Denver to attend a concert at Red Rocks. we stayed at the Morse Park property. It was a great place to stay. Very clean and close to everywhere we wanted to go. I highy recommend staying here.

Nice host, very accommodating! Just be aware that there is no AC. It was 97 degrees outside, 80 inside and we were given an extra fan, but it didn’t do much. Also, the kitchen is pretty bare, so don’t plan on making a lot of meals in the microwave. Overall a good place to stay!

Lovely space. Maybe as a super host he could have given us a late check out because check in was supposed to be 4:00 & wasn’t able to get into the house till 5:30. Instead I got a “friendly reminder” to be out by 11 am. The blow dryer was not working & had to purchase one ,the carpet has MANY stains, the coffee available was almost empty (we purchased some) ,channel changers were missing
