Attentive host. Wonderful property

Property was perfect for Family Reunion of about 25 people. Host was very pleasant and helpful. Only glitch was Air-conditioning failed second night and temperature got up to 85 in main house. We had to purchase 2 fans and although fixed that evening didn't cool down till following am.

Family made great memories at this place.

The arrangement of bedrooms and bathrooms was quite unique, - loved it! Kitchen was large and so easy to fix the big family dinners we had. The lake is more than I imagined. The kayaks and water "toys" made time on the lake so much fun for all. (No motorized boats - YaY!) A wonderful stay for our annual family get-together!

We booked this beautiful property for a team retreat. The house was comfortable and perfect for our group gathering. The grounds are beautiful and provided lots of opportunities for outdoor adventures in our downtime. We’re looking forward to hosting our next event here! Highly recommended!

We celebrated a friends 50th birthday here. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to do so. I’m trying to figure out when we can go back!

This huge house was so spacious our group of 35 never felt crowded. It was nice and secluded; very private. The lake and beach was great.

We had a great time. The caretaker who is also a family member of the property owner was a great help and resource and provided for our every need. I can't recommend this property any higher. It was expensive as there was a charge for each family member. I would return

We had a bachelor party group near 20 that this house was perfect for. There is so much to do on the property. There is plenty of space for games; the lake is incredible; no shortage of areas to hang out indoor or out, with plenty of seating for a large group. The house and property feel like you are isolated while there are restaurants and big grocery stores 5 min away so everything was super easy. I strongly recommend this place to others!

I know people will assume that I am exaggerating, but our family weekend was the best! There is a private lake, basketball, tennis, boat house, guest house, fun toys for the kids. The lake was a non stop win for the kids and the adults. Multiple boats, paddle boards, fishing equipment (bring your own advanced fishing equipment / bait if you want to do serious fishing). The basic were included and perfect for kids trying for the first time. Boat House was a huge outdoor / indoor hangout location. Every area of the main house fits 15 people, so you can do different whole family activities. The lot is very private outside of wildlife. We saw a bald eagle every day. Had Turkey vultures (I am not a huge bird person, but think I am correct with the type of bird) with little chicks walk around all weekend. No dangerous wildlife. Walking distance from a local camp and horses too. Walking distance from an amazing pie place.

My family and I celebrated our Christmas at Lakewood. It was truly amazing! From the moment we drove up the driveway (the house was lit up with Christmas lights), the house was perfect. Honestly, we wouldn’t change anything. The living room provided us with plenty of space for our family of 14, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook and bake, and everyone was comfortable in a bed. The little kids shared the room with the bunk beds and all the adults had their own space / bedrooms. There is a second fridge/freezer in the laundry room (this was fabulous) and the stove is massive (2 ovens, 6 burners). The view from the living room is absolutely breathtaking. It snowed a bit while we were there, so the trees were white andbeautiful icicles hung from the side of the house. We all went sledding, built snowmen, threw snowballs, etc. The guys went Ice fishing and caught a bunch of fish. We plan on staying at Lakewood Farms again and again!!! And the kids had fun playing hide and seek. We brought flashlights to make hide and seek even more fun! We worked with David prior to our stay and he was very helpful with all of our questions! And Tom was fantastic too- he came up and greeted us on day one (and brought us fresh eggs from the chicken coop). Both were fantastic!Hope you enjoy Lakewood as much as we did.

Lakewood Farms is such a special place! From giving us an early check on Thursday to set up, a well equipped large kitchen, tremendous great room with several sitting areas with excellent views, private lake with many water activities, tennis games, vast grounds for badminton and tennis golf to gatherings around a fire pit, we couldn't have asked for more. My son's wedding was the culmination of a very special weekend for my son, his Bride and both families coming together celebrating and making lifelong beautiful memories! Thank you Tom, for being such a gracious, helpful host. You were awesome! Also, loved the fresh eggs!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lake was beautiful. The available water equipment (kayaks, waterboards, pedal boat, rowboat, and inflatables) made for 4 days of great fun!

My family chose this home to celebrate our extended family Christmas. We found the house perfect for our needs, with enough bedrooms to accommodate all, including bunks for the kids with safety rails and a main floor bedroom with a walk in shower just right for our 90 something parents. The scenery and views in the snow made our holiday like something out of a movie. The kids, big and small, sledded down the hill, spend time in the boat house dreaming of a summer vacation there. Inside there was plenty of room in the great room for oldsters to relax and kids to play games without interfering with each other. We all giggled at the little ones poking their heads through the openings in the balcony railing. The kitchen is fully equipped with an adjacent sunny breakfast room and the main dining room served us well for Christmas dinner. The baths were spotless, the linens fresh and the welcoming gifts made us feel right at home. We even made use of the game room for quiet conversation and naps. We had brought peat from Ireland with us to make a turf fire and the fireplace made our evenings fairy-tale perfect. "Farmer Tim" the property manager took great care of us, from salting the drive to plowing the snow and emptying our generous amount of giftwrap garbage. David, the property contact, answered all my questions prior to our visit and responded very quickly to our inquiries. We are making plans for a summer visit and will definitely be back for next Christmas. You just can't go wrong with Lakewood Farms.

We visited this property with four families with several small kids and could not have been happier. The house has tons of space and property is huge. The private lake is fabulous for swimming, fishing and taking the boats out. Wonderful sundeck allows for relaxation while the kids enjoyed the water. We will definitely plan on coming back year after year!

Amazing property, wonderful waterfront, plenty of room for kids to play and for adults to find a private space to read. I loved the porch over the boat house,the beach and boats and lily pad. The kids did too and also loved fishing and tennis. The home was large enough for big families or reunions. The kitchen was great and there was plenty of room to seat a crowd. The fire pit was welcoming although the bugs were bad this year because of the rainy spring. We also loved the great room. Highly recommend for a wonderful getaway. Like having your own private camp. Suitable for all ages.
