We've been to the Kiahuna many times over the past 40 years, and Chuck's condo is our favorite. The location is great with a lovely view of the large lawn and ocean from the balcony, and given that it's a top floor end unit, it's very private and quiet as well. I also appreciate Chuck's responsiveness to any of our inquiries. He's an excellent host.

We love staying at Kiahuna Plantation. It has a great pool, several great beaches, shopping and many many restaurants that you can walk to. Our night driving eyesight isn’t the best anymore so being able to stay close to home is perfect. This condo was exceptional the view was amazing. It was so relaxing . Great place to view sunsets and sunrises just around the corner. Being able to cook and bar b que is great. Everything you need to be comfortable.

Excellent location and unit in Kiahuna Plantation. Second time for another two weeks this year and will go back in teh same unit in the summer. Canot say enough about the entire package as well as the owners; Chuck has been exceptional communicating and not only following up but pre-empting any questions or needs we might have. Love everything about the vacation and the location and unit are a big part of it.

Beutiful and well maintained property. Everything we could need was provided. As noted, no heat or AC in unit - but the apartment certainly well ventilated with fresh breezes and plenty of fans ( even had to close windows and take out blanket during one particularly stormy and cold night) . Atletic club access was a bonus- though we went next door to sheraton for pool and workout since our cousins were staying there.. Even with 2 rainy days, there was plenty to do and see nearby. I highly recommend a trip to Allerton and McBryde Gardens, Kauai Coffee plantation and for something unique- Lyndgate Chocolate farm tour. Its definitely not a factory- but you will learn and taste many different chocolates including the roasted ' nibs' ( 100% cocoa) themselves. You'll never eat another mass produced chocolate bar again! Our thanks for the well stocked activity closet. For our few non rain days- and a wonderful amazing beach look to spend a 1/2 day at Majors Bay or Polihale. No crowds and miles of unspoiled sand with views of Ni'ihau. Kokee state park and waimea canyon was too wet and cloudy this trip. Great restaurants and kydos for poke bowls and fresh fish for ' home cooking' at koloa fish market. We look forward to a future visit and hope to agian stay in this unit. Five stars well earned!!

And my expectations were already pretty high based on the other reviews. The unit was absolutely perfect. It was quiet and private. The location was superb. As we walked around the area, we really didn't think we could have chose a better unit to rent on the Kiahuna Plantation grounds. The unit was so perfect for our little family. The bedroom was perfectly dark and quite for sleeping (which is how we like it). We loved being able to sit on the porch and still be able to see the sunset and the waves. The activities closet was awesome to have and we used the chairs and umbrella at the beach. The access to the athletic club was amazing. Their pool over there is gorgeous and the work out facilities were top notch. The restaurant at the athletic club was also very nice. I rarely want to go back to the exact same location after a trip because there is just so much in the world to see, but I can confidently say that i would return to Kauai and would want to stay in this until again in the near future!

This is one of the very best Kiahuna units. Corner unit with great view, steps from wonderful swimming beach. Everything was as described by the owner. We had an amazing stay and highly recommend this condo.

We had the pleasure of staying at this property in Southern Kauai for one week. The unit itself was excellent and in a great location for all we wanted to explore around the island from Poipu, Hanalei, the Na Pali coast, to a couple of stops in the Lihui and Kapaa area. The condo was impeccably clean and guest-friendly. No AC? Not a problem with the cross-breeze and ceiling fans. All that was in was written in the description proved to be true. I highly recommend staying at this condo if you are considering Kauai as a next vacation destination.

Great location with a stunning view. The only issues we had was the smoke alarm went off the first day and our washing machine was broken for the last 3 days other than that amazing unit. Highly recommend

It was our 20+ time at the Kiahuna Plantation in various units and it was great. The place has a perfect location on the property and it is super-efficiently stacked and organized. The end unit has impeccable airflow and the ocean view is magnificent with one minute walk to the ocean. Communication with Chuck is a delight and the property management is efficient. Will be back in the same unit in December!

Our host Chuck was so helpful and so accommodating. He made sure we got off on the right foot on our vacation. The accommodations were great. We prepared half of our evening meals at the condo. We had everything we needed to do that. There is a great surf school on site and they were great with beginners. Wonderful grounds with plenty of chairs. As with many of the places on Kauai there is no AC, but the place is very wide open and the trade winds keep you comfortable. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Loved it here; terrific location, just as advertised. We found the bed super comfortable; kitchen had all we needed. Best part was still the location that made it harder than usual to get motivated to go anywhere else; hope to stay here again in the future

This is a lovey property, as described and as pictured! I loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of ocean waves (on a very comfortable mattress, by the way). Chuck was so communicative and helpful leading up to our visit, during it and after. He provided lots of helpful local recommendations that helped us really enjoy and maximize our time in Poipu. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked, which I very much appreciated as someone who likes to cook on vacation. Laundry nearby was very helpful. It's a large property with many units, but felt calm and not too crowded. I hope to return!

This unit has an excellent location at the exceptional Kiahuna Plantation. The host is very responsive and friendly. This unit is an excellent choice.

This was our second long-term stay in this unit. We could not be happier with its location and privacy. We even have our own separate staircase! The view across the Great Lawn to the sea never gets old. The full sunset is visible from the lanai in the winter until about Feb 15. Our host, Chuck, is very responsive and easy to deal with. His family has owned this unit for decades so there is nothing he doesn’t know and he clearly has a great reputation with the Castle staff. When you say you are staying in his unit they practically jump to attention!! As long as you keep in mind this unit was built in the 1970s so it has a tiny toilet/shower space, you will not be disappointed. We really appreciate the well-maintained original furnishings and traditional artwork which capture the island spirit. We look forward to our next stay.

The grounds of the property are lush and green with a beautiful walkable beach. Be aware that this is an older property. The kitchen and bathroom have been updated a little bit, but the best thing about this unit is the view from the living area and balcony. It makes a perfect base from which to explore the rest of the island.

We really enjoyed our stay. This is our 2nd stay at the resort but the first in this condo. Everything that the owner has written is accurate. Amazing views of the sunset from the private balcony. We’ve already booked a return trip!

Neat, clean apartment with everything you need to spend a relaxing vacation. The sunsets can be enjoyed from the terrace or a few steps away on the beautiful sandy beach. The good location allows you to get in a relatively short time to various attractions or starting points for walks on the island. There are also many leisure facilities on site, which we have also used actively.

We had a wonderful stay! You can see and hear the ocean from the condo. We walked along the beach and the area in front of the condo's is much quieter and less populated than the beaches around us. We will be coming back with our daughters!

My parents stayed at Marriott. I stayed here. What I liked the most is at my place I can see and hear the ocean. The gym access was great and its a gym the locals use very well equipped.

The space is welcoming and comfortable with high ceilings, nice furnishings, and a good ocean view from the balcony with floor to ceiling and wall to wall sliding doors there. This area is very busy if you like that. I would not stay in Poipu again because of the bustle of people and too many resorts, but if I did come back I would stay here again. The ceiling fan in the bedroom does not run well and needs to be replaced, there was no salt in the kitchen (though many other spices were on hand), and the bathroom fixtures were very basic. It was hard to get ahold of the owner, but we didn't need much communication. Other than that it was a great stay. Flowers everywhere, quick walk to the beach, and not far from restaurants and shops.

We loved our stay at your property. The location was ideal with a great view of the ocean. I appreciated the great communication with the owner. We had everything we needed for a perfect week in paradise. Bonus: the bed in bedroom was super comfy! I hope to return to this spot again for my next visit to Kauai.

Everything about this home exceeded our expectations. The view is striking and exactly like the picture. We loved sitting on the patio and watching all of the activity on the lawn! There was a nice breeze and we slept well the entire time. The kitchen has everything you could ever need and it was super clean. A+++

Chuck was a great host. Everything was very clean and the apartment well stocked with things needed for a successful stay. When we first arrived we could not find the closet of beach gear and we were able to immediately get in contact with Chuck to resolve it - turns out it’s in an entirely separate closet exterior to the apartment. And yes, it definitely had everything anyone could need for an excellent time. The only thing to note: this condo is in a very central location in Kiahuna Plantation. It’s right at the base of the field so the sounds of kids and families playing soccer/football/etc go directly into the apartment. Wonderful location for families with older children because they can literally play out front. With our toddler who needed to go to bed on time every night, not so ideal. Overall, another peaceful stay in Kauai and we hated to leave.

My husband and I were so looking forward to this part of our trip. The condo was perfect and the property beautiful. The bummer, my husband got sick the first day we were there and we were not able to enjoy all that it had to offer. Grateful for the cleanliness and the comfy bed as my hubby spent all the first full day in bed. The second day was on the couch with short naps and a walk to the beach for a bit. Would love to do it again... and hopefully not get sick so that we could thoroughly enjoy all that this property offers. Loved the view - only thing better would have been to be right on the beach itself. Loved the corner upstairs unit. The breeze blew through and was quite comfortable the entire time!
