Owner graciously let us check in early. We had problems with internet, despite communication with owner, but it was not a big deal. Property was rustic, but very convenient, had everything we needed, nice view, private, relaxing. This was our return to Vieques after 25 years. The snorkelling not what it once was, but still kind of a magical place. Would stay here again, for sure.

We loved the view from the porch, the hammocks, the well appointed kitchen, numerous beach towels and chairs, and all the wild animals about the place. There lots of iguanas and chickens in the yard. The whole island is teaming with life. If you need where you stay to feel really sterile then this isn’t the place for you - it opens up to the outside. We saw no more bugs than in our own home despite being so open to fresh air. The AC gets nice and cool in the bedrooms. We could easily drive to anywhere on the island from this central location.

Located on a nice piece of property with beautiful trees. The house was just perfect for us. We have 4 kids so the bunk beds worked perfect. The queen bed for us was comfortable. There were a/c units in each bedroom. There was a cooler and chairs for the beach. Also there was beach towels to use. The host was absolutely amazing! We absolutely loved our stay. Thank you!

The thing we enjoyed the most was the beautiful view of the night sky, there’s no light pollution. They were very generous with the towels they provided, and we really enjoyed the balcony with hammock and chairs. House was very comfortable. Not walking distance from anything but very close drive to a really nice beach

Our stay was nice and relaxing. House has everything you need .nature all around makes this casa amarilla a true hidden gem .

House is awesome for those that like adventure. You will absolutely need a Jeep to get up the driveway and the trek back down the hill is a thrill ride in itself. The house itself is no frills but has everything you need. The umbrellas and body board and cooler were a huge help. The bed is comfortable and the location is very picturesque and the sounds of the island will put you to sleep and make sure you don’t sleep in. Can’t wait to pick this place when we return!

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The kids loved waking up to the horses on the property; they have a way with animals...they were able to pet the horses. Close to necessary amenities and when the kids wanted pizza for dinner it was delivered with no issues. Our overall stay was very pleasant. Thank you.

We absolutely loved this house! The hammocks on the patio were perfect for relaxing in between beach trips. We also loved that the house was on some property, to make it feel secluded. We're already looking forward to our next trip back to Vieques and would love to stay here again!

We loved our stay at Casita Amarilla. The island of Vieques has so much to offer and Amarilla is right in the middle of it all. The house sits near the head of a valley and you have great views of the ocean and El Yunque on the main island. We spent a lot of time on the front porch just looking at the view. The house itself had almost everything we needed. We couldn't figure out the wifi while we were there, but we didn't come to Vieques to sit and stare at screens so that was fine. The only minor complaint we had is that there is no hot water for dishes or hand washing. The shower has an in-line heater that makes the water warm, but not hot. Took us a minute to figure out that you have to flip the switch by the bathroom door to turn it on. Other than that, we loved every minute of our stay.

It is very basic and rustic bit not the good looking kind. It is very quite and the ceiling fans are enough to maintain the rooms cool. (Air conditioning is available, but did not needed in May). The house needs "love". It was dirty anda care

The house is nice. Secluded. don't expect hotel like environment. Its a little bit on the rugged side but nice.

Nice property, very basic amenities, no hot water. But amazing front porch, two great hammocks. we spent most of our time on the porch. In a nice quite mountain, easy access to everything.
