The house is clean, comfortable and for us, perfectly located. The living room and outside deck were comfortable for lounging and the beds were comfortable, as well. We would definitely stay again.

Judy is the ultimate hostess and has thought of everything! From high end appliances to comfy beds, this place was the best. Not very far from anything you want to visit in San Diego, my group had the ultimate girls week away. Thank you so much for everything.

Excellent location. Easy to travel from house to area sites. Check in and check out instructions well written. There were 5 of us in our group and the accommodation's at the house met our needs. Overall experience was very good.

It was an awesome stay here, there was plenty of room for my group and Judy was great with providing information about the area. The pictures of this house do not do it justice, it is much nicer in person, which was a pleasant surprise seeing as how nice it looked via the pictures posted. The only negative was there were spiders in so many corners of this house, I woke up with a few bites as did a few other people in the group. So you might want to get the place sprayed soon for the coming winter months to keep the creepy crawlers away. Also we were barely able to throw any trash away because the trash can was already more than halfway full. That was a bummer, we took as much with us as possible but there was so much seeing as we cooked every day, in the gorgeous kitchen with all dishes supplied may I add, that our cars were full. Lastly, we were so excited to use the ping pong table but one of the handles was so flimsly it was unusable and the garage smelled a little musty, as if there was a cat was doing its business in there. Other than those few concerns, it was a perfect stay. Judy was a delight and eager to help us out, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The deck was awesome, the barbecue worked perfectly, the fire pit was perfect for lounging and s’mores, and the house was decorated so nicecly. There are also plenty of games, movies, and books around the house which came in handy. But just a PSA, that driveway is steep and there is a pipeline of some sort poking out so if your car is lower to the ground (like mine) I would just park on the street because you will scrape very intensely. I thought I cracked my oil pan for a second lol.

We stayed here for Comicon Week. What you see in the pictures is even more stunning when you're there. The deck, scenery, and the neighborhood are perfect. Judy is very accommodating and a great host. Follow the house rules and you'll be fine. You can also review the rules as there is a rule book with Calvin and Hobbes comic strip on it. Just be mindful of the neighbors at night when hanging out at the deck. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you for having us Judy!

Our group travelled for a wedding in the San Diego area. It was nice not to be in the city, but close enough. The owner was easy to reach with questions and offered suggestions of activities and restaurants in the area.

We were extremely pleased by the house, there was plenty of space for the 5 of us and enjoyed every minute on the deck. Judy left great instructions and options for attractions, restaurants and markets nearby. We really enjoyed our time and would absolutely return to the home. Thanks so much for being such a great host!

We used this house as a base for sightseeing in San Diego. We could get to most of the tourist attractions in 20 to 30 minutes drive. Everything in the house was as described. The hot tub was great. Also the house is near the top of a hill so the view was good. The kitchen was fairly recent remodel with all we needed. Neighbors live on lower level but they were quiet and were friendly. The yard is very large and nicely landscaped.

The property was nice the host wonderful and very helpful the location good very clean...i didnt give 5 star for two reson...1 they didnt say that some area was shared with others and the bed in the kids room not really comfortable...

We spent a week in San Diego to visit family. This was a great place for us (7 adults, 1 child). The kitchen had everything we needed. The fire pit was a favorite place to gather in the evenings. It is located in a nice neighborhood with easy highway access to get anywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

We had a wonderful stay in Spring Valley. The location worked great for our visits to San Diego to take in the sights. The large deck with the gas fire-pit was welcoming and relaxing after a day of golf, visiting the San Diego Zoo, and touring the USS Midway. There is so much to do around the area we needed more than the 5 days we had. Our host, Judy, was quick to respond with any concerns and the people of Spring Valley could not be more friendly and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay getting to visit with our son.

My husband and I rented this house so that we could have a family game night while we were visiting everyone from New Zealand and it was perfect! Big open living/outdoor space made this the perfect place to catch up with family and friends. Judy was an excellent host, very communicative and available if there was an issue, but there wasn't. Very friendly owner. Clean unit, gorgeous deck and outside area. Judy provides a list of things to do in the area that was very helpful. We would stay again.

We had a very nice time on our vacation. The kitchen was nice and roomy for all of our meals to be prepared. The beds were comfortable and clean. My favorite part of the house was the porch and jacuzzi. It has a great view and is just minutes from major destinations. Overall had a great time in San Diego and at this house.

My friends and I chose this house for our stay around San Diego. Judy was very responsive and helpful with all our questions. Judy also had notes spread across the house to help with using appliances and understanding what each switches did. First time encountering something like that and the effort was very much appreciated. As for the house, it had everything we needed and everything worked great. The lay out of the kitchen and the family room made it easy to hang out with everyone regardless of what you were doing. We had no issues with the cleanliness of the house and had enough linens for our group. The location of the house was perfect. It was next to supermarkets, starbucks, gas stations, good local food joints, and freeway entrances. Overall a wonderful experience!

The four of us really enjoyed staying at Mt Helix Delight. It was very comfortable, relaxing, easy access to grocery stores, and the owner was delightful and extremely helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

A really lovely property. The upstairs deck is really awesome and has a pretty good view. Ample seating around the fire pit. great for roasting marshmallows. I had about 10 people staying there, and everyone loved the space. Very comfortable. Had everything we needed as far as kitchenware and appliances. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway in the area.

We loved and really enjoyed our family time as well as the home. The home was centrally located to all the things we wanted to do. The owner, Judy, was so helpful and answered all questions we had. So glad we had the opportunity to meet her. The home was very clean, the layout was perfect with ample supplies to make our stay a pleasant one. We would definitely recommend this place and hopefully will stay here again on our next trip to San Diego.

We loved Mt. Helix Delight, and we would stay there again! The owner was very attentive to any questions or concerns we had. The downstairs patio is shared space with the tenant who lives in the apartment down there, so we really didn't use that area other than to use the grill, but the upper deck is a great area to hang out as well. :) It truly was a DELIGHT staying in this home!
