Beverly was a wonderful host to our family! Her beautiful home has plenty of space for everyone to have their own private sanctuary. The views of the lake are so tranquil. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, including serving dishes for large parties. We are thankful our paths crossed & look forward to them crossing again!

Kids loved the large water slide at the Big Canoe pool(located close to the house), the guys loved the golf course & ladies loved just hanging out & relaxing at this beautiful house

A wonderful place with plenty of room and rooms for our 13 family members! Loved sitting on the deck looking out to water! So much to do in Big Canoe, pontoon boat ride, swimming, golf, fishing and nice hiking trails usually ending with waterfalls! We’ll return sometime and we look forward to it! 😄

We absolutely LOVED the Boyd Villa in Big Canoe. Loads of room, great privacy, clean and VERY well stocked. Great neighborhood, and lots to do in the area.
Communication with the homeowner was awesome and they were very responsive. We have this gem saved to our favorites and if we make it back to the neighborhood, this will be the first home we look to.

We had a great Family Vacation. The property was great and views were spectacular. We enjoyed all that Big Canoe had to offer - golf, fishing, swimming and Boat Rental. Had more than enough activities to keep us busy all week. Would highly recommend both the property's facilities and activities which were available. Very comfortably accommodated our group of 12 - ages 67 to 5.

This was our second stay at the Boyd Villa and our family thoroughly enjoyed the home and our visit to Big Canoe. Proximity to Lake Petit and all the amenities is huge plus for family activities. We also enjoyed the kitchen for preparing our family meals. Beverly is a wonderful host and is always very responsive. We look forward to our next visit to Big Canoe!

Our family came in for a reunion and a wedding, we had 5 couples (no kids) and this house was perfect. So many compliments from the family as well.
The patio was perfect to look at the sunrise, and enjoy viewing the lake. It was nice having a large table so we could all sit at it as well.

I have been using VRBO for several years now and have never encounter a host like Beverly. She was so warm and inviting, just like her home. The accommodations and view were fantastic, the pictures does not do this home justice.
We will most definitely go back to visit.

This was our second stay here. There is so much space. Everything was spotless, and it has the best stocked kitchen ever. Wonderful deck space and beautiful views. Our hosts were wonderful as well.

My family, friends and I had a great time at this beautiful villa. Beverly was very easy to communicate with, helpful and extremely friendly. The property is exactly as described with an amazing location in the mountains where the trees have a different shade of green. Additionally, it has a great view of the lake that looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket. It was a wonderful getaway that I’d recommend to anyone and guarantee that in your moments there, you’ll be happy!

We had a week full of rest and relaxation. The property is spacious, with enough rooms to accommodate a large family. The Boyd’s were amazing hosts, they were available every step of the way, and are filled with lots of knowledge of the area, in regards to activities and towns to visit. We rented a pontoon on the lake, and spent the day jumping into the lake, swimming, and paddle boarding. Thank you Beverly for being such a great hostess. Christine

This house is perfect for a large, multi-family vacation. With so many bedrooms everyone has a comfortable bed and private bath. The location of the house is ideal as it is centrally located in Big Canoe and a very short drive to all of the available amenities. We have stayed in this house multiple times and each time have had a wonderful stay. The Boyd family is very communicative and works hard to ensure that all of your needs are met.

We visited with our family, my brothers family and my sisters family, 7 cousins in all. The bunk room was amazing for the kids and we had all the space in the world for all of the families to spread out. We did a few hikes, rented a pontoon on the lake behind the house and spent a few days at the beach club which was a huge hit with all the kids from the 3 year old bouncing around in the pool to the 10-12 year olds doing countless laps on the obstacle course. Absolutely a vacation they won't forget.

We had an amazing stay at Boyd Villa! The house accommodated 8 adults and 6 children (ages 3-9) very well, with plenty of separate spaces to hang out. The kitchen has everything you need, and there’s a second oven and fridge on the lower level. We’ve stayed at many houses but this is everyone’s favorite. The decks are beautiful, and the kids loves playing outside. Lots of fireflies in the evening! The house is clean and comfortable. The host was lovely and checked in a few times to make sure everything was good. Highly recommend.

June 17-24, 2023 - We had 12 in our family (5 families in all) that stayed at the Boyd Villa, and found the property to be very spacious, well equipped, and accommodating. The Owners were particularly helpful in answering questions and making the Check-in/Check-out procedures very clear. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best, so we were not able to use many of the amenities of Big Canoe. (We thought they were very expensive, so it might have been for the best.) Even though we were inside most of the time due to the rainy weather, there was enough room to have fun together and still have places to go for quiet moments when needed. The area we were in is very hilly, as is most of Big Canoe, so we had to drive to do anything, even hiking. However, it is beautiful and the scenic view of the lake and the sanctuary across the lake was wonderful.

We loved our stay at the Boyd Villa. It was an extended family get-together with eight adults and three kids, and we had plenty of room to spread out. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Be sure to use the code that Jim and Beverly provide for discounts on the Beach Club passes and other activities. Gibbs Gardens and Amicalola Falls are each about 15 minutes away and make great off-property day trips.

We had a wonderful trip to celebrate my daughter graduating high school.. The house was perfect and the view was wonderful! Put all of the teenagers on the lower level and they had a great time with the pool table. Boating was my favorite on the lake. One note, there are not a lot of restaurants in the very local vicinity. Others are about a half hour or so away and some of the local ones were very pricey. If it was just my family we would have tried them out, but not with the large group of teens. We did not want to drive that far for dinners so I cooked most of our meals. Fortunately, the kitchen was well stocked and made cooking for a large group easier. Thanks for a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Bev was such a great host, stayed in constant communication with me on check in/how many guys i had coming. My team said mulitiple times what a great stay they had. Not only at the house but golf course was awesome to work with having a 16 man golf tourney, called the "SAVAGE INVITATIONAL".

The Villa is absolutely stunning. It’s in a prime location with beautiful views and the back of the home faces East so you catch amazing sunrises combined with a gorgeous lake. The hosts are phenomenal who respond immediately to anything needed and we’re very accommodating. The house is big enough to sleep 16 comfortably. We hope to have an opportunity to stay in the Big Canoe community again.

The house was gorgeous, well appointed and very comfortable! The views are outstanding, truly one of a kind in such a beautiful community. The kitchen and living areas had everything we needed. The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer. Beverly, thank you for being an amazing host! Your beautiful home was the perfect getaway for our friends and family...I can't wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Boyd Villa over the holidays. We had 14 people in our extended family on the trip. The house offers plenty of space to spread out and the two full kitchens were key to easy holiday dinner prep. This is a lovely home and is accurately pictured in the listing. And I cannot say enough good things about the Boyd’s communication before and during our stay! They are the consummate hosts! I highly recommend this property. We hope to be back soon!

This is our third year running for this property. We invite the whole family to get together before Christmas and it gives us an opportunity to enjoy one another’s company, play games, hike, eat a lot and enjoy the setting that this beautiful villa resides in.
There is lots of great hiking nearby, and one of the highlights of our trip is always seeing the bald eagles that land on the lake at the back of the house to catch fish or duck.
Plenty of space for the adults, a great bunk room for the kids and numerous bathrooms. Make this comfortable for our large clan of children and grandchildren. The kids look forward to this every year. I couldn’t ask for a better location or a more beautiful home and setting.

The location of the house is beautiful with lovely views from the deck. It is well equipped for large groups and has plenty of space for eating and gathering. However, to call this a 7 bedroom house is a stretch. The small room with a very worn futon should not be counted as a bedroom as there is no closet. The house is beginning to show wear and tear --many of the faucets leak and towels and sheets are very worn. All of that being said, it was a nice setting for an enjoyable reunion.

Our family of 16, including 8 adults and 8 grandkids 8 yrs old and under had a terrific time at the Boyd Villa. The owner was helpful in every aspect of our trip and communicated with us very well. We’d definitely stay here again.
