Clean and well equipped amazing house

Very relaxing, very quiet. All creature comforts. Very clean. The area is so peaceful, we loved our days. Gorgious fresh eggs from Sandie's chickens. Went on various walks in the area, Clutha River. Scones at Edgewater in Wanaka is a must. Took watertaxi to Mou Waho island and walked to top, magnificent.

You wake up amongst the morning bird songs and Lake Hawea is the nearest best get away. The view of the surrounding peaks is just stunning.

Had an awesome stay for 3 nights. The place is tucked up a little ways out of Wanaka, but the outlook from the property is worth the extra distance! The rooms are quiet and tidy. There are lots of facilities if you need them. Highly recommend!

Very nice place to stay for a night or a week. Private bbq area. Great kitchen and living area. Very quiet. A few bord games for the kids on a wet day. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and say again myself 😀😀

The unit had everything we needed and was in a nice quiet location. We loved the floor heating in the bathroom. A short drive from Wanaka and the snow fields, it was perfectly suited for our stay and planned activities.

Perfect for a base for skiing and sightseeing. Amenities good, beds really comfortable. Could do with a few more cooking utensils bread knife, spatula very minor recommendations. Lovely little courtyard Highly recommended

Absolutely loved staying here for 7 nights! Incredibly well priced. Huge detached guest house. Tons of room and wonderful bedroom spaces. Great kitchen. Fantastic water and water pressure in shower. Air conditioner works great. If you’d like a super detailed review I have it posted at TheHikingBookworms. Location ended up great, too, even though it was a 17-minute drive to town that often turned into an hour because either coming or going we would stop in at the French patisserie, the Pembroke Café. Located right by the bridge that kids love jumping off of. The cat. Is fine. Doors? Yes, keep them closed, but windows can be opened. (We're not cat people.) Is there pet/cat hair in the house? Yes, saw evidence on couch and pillows. However, NO pet hair on bed in either of the rooms and beds. So, we’re golden. Owners were responsive, nice, and even though they live right next door they weren't intrusive at all. I needed oven gloves and more dishwasher packs and both items were on our doorstep the next day when we came home. Negatives? The wifi was on/off. This is not a deal breaker for us, but since there are no cafes/restaurants nearby it makes it challenging to look up hikes and restaurants and other things to do during your stay if you don't have cell coverage. Workaround is to go to town and log onto the wifi there. Mostly it was on for us, and when it was, it was a perfectly fast connection. Mattress. It was a bit too lumpy/soft/springy for us, as well as being old and dipping in the middle. I would roll onto the husband. Every movement one makes the other feels. The down comforter is wonderful. It feels cozy. That part I loved. It's just when you're 40+ every tiny bit of discomfort turns into aching pains. So, we are in disagreement with other reviewers who thought that bed was fantastic and comfortable. If you’d like a super detailed review I have it posted at TheHikingBookworm

Beautiful little place to stay with everything we needed. Only a short drive to Wanaka and in a quiet little semi rural setting. Host was right next door and came to welcome us and say hello. Lovely people who made us feel welcome and have helping advice helping us to enjoy our holiday. Highly recommend it to a couple or family looking for a quiet setting away from the playing and hurdle and bustle. The car treats you as part of the family.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment which is attached to, but separate from, the hosts’ home. It was well equipped, including an outdoor private patio with a barbecue that we enjoyed using. The beds were very comfortable and the decor was lovely. It had a very homey feel. It’s located in a more rural setting but is within a residential area, and convenient to visiting nearby towns and nice hiking trails. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. This was one of our most enjoyable and relaxing stays while touring NZ!

We had a wonderful stay while we were down skiing! Owner was very communicative and immediately sent in a heater when we asked for one! Had a lovely cat come visit us which was lovely company! Would definitely come back!!

Tucked into Hawea Flats it is in a quiet street. The views of the surrounding mountains are stunning. A warm stay with all the amenities needed to self cater.

Just a short stay but everything in the flat was perfect. We knew the area from years ago so found our way. The place was modern, warm and cosy . It had all we needed. The autumn colours were spectacular, and the night sky was the very best. Located in the Lakes district in a rural setting made it both quiet but close enough to services. Thanks to the hosts for fine accommodation.
