Super central location, huge stylish apartment sized rooms, good cooking facilities, nice views, and secure hotel underground parking. Close to big supermarket too.

I didn’t realise when I booked but the hotel is not staffed. There was also a mix up, possibly on my part, but I didn’t receive the instructions on how to get my room key or how to handle parking. However, I called the number and they were super quick and helpful, so despite no on site reception staff, they were very responsive.

Overpriced and fell short on any luxury touches - hard seating in lounge bath next to bed notices about fines for list of things if do minimal kitchen equipment no instructions for operating cooktop no robes or tissues multiple codes and lock boxes for gaining access.

DO NOT STAY at this property power cut meant it was unsafe in the event of a fire no disabled access

There was a scheduled power cut the owner knew about and did not tell us until after we had arrived they offered a refund but there was nowhere else to stay in Dunedin so we had to reinstate the booking

Great location and great fitout

I checked in and checked out immediately. I cancelled my booking although I had to pay for the first night.

This is the only place I have stayed in New Zealand that charges around $300 per night for a room that has no mini fridge, just a gaping space where a mini fridge could be. One could be put in the room for the cost of one night’s accommodation. They argued this was an “entry level” room (whatever that means) but at that price it is anything but in my opinion. Not only was no fridge facility available in the room but there was nowhere in the hotel we could use to store medication or anything that needed to be kept cold. A huge disappointment. I say stay away.

The Chamberson liegt sehr zentral. Abends und an Sonntagen sind die Parkplätze in den Nebenstraßen kostenfrei - dadurch kann man die Parkgebühr in der Hotelgarage umgehen. Das Zimmer war modern eingerichtet. Alle Zugänge und das Zimmer sind barrierefrei!

Der Check-In war etwas unpersönlich; die Rezeption ist nicht besetzt; bei Fragen muss man jemanden anrufen. Dann war der Service aber hilfreich!

Great location, right downtown, right near the Octagon. Big livingroom/dining room.

Bedroom #1 had nowhere to hang clothes and no luggage rack or even room to open a suitcase. Bedroom #2 had no bedside tables, only a tiny shelf thing. The bathroom was small so you had to step into the shower to close the door. The walls were dark grey. Weird. Really dark grey. They had very fat pillows, too fat. The whole place seemed to be designed to look good, but not designed around being functional. The cutlery drawer was UNDER the dishwasher, inside another drawer. Entirely impractical. The listing did not say there is no reception, no on duty staff. It is all self check in. I wish I had known that. I arrived from overseas and had bought a new sim for the trip so I did not receive any text messages. I was standing on the footpath at the front door, with my elderly mother, perplexed on how to get in an unattended locked door. I had to call three times before I reached a staff member to get a code to get in. The parking garage has a very narrow entrance and a low ceiling. A 2WD could not fit in and had to back out into traffic.

The room was itself was excellant but the items listed below should be noted.

The lack of a manned reception made it difficult to arrange secure storage of our luggage and arrange taxi for transport to our cruise ship.The rate that I was charged was extraordinarily expensive and when I queried it the second night was changed to roughly 50% of the first night.You list the Chamberson as a hotel but I have never stayed in a hotel without a reception being manned at least through the day.

They were lovely and made the booking easy. Room was clean, tidy and modern.

Never saw a member of staff! Find a remote check in a little odd but it worked. Could not use the safe as no key but not a major issue. No storage space for clothes.

Room 202 was a Huge spacious corner apartment with massive ceilings, black out curtains and great location. Communication via email was prompt and courteous

Zero staff to speak of except for the room service attendant who showed up 4 minutes before checkout and lingered outside the door waiting for us. Didn’t enjoy retrieving my key from a lockbox with every other guests room key available.
