This house is great and we love coming to Broadkill Beach (second time at this house). Our toddler really likes the house and we do too. It has everything we need and makes our stay easy. The beach is super quiet, just how we like it. We hope to be back next year!

For a couple or small family, the cottage and beach are ideal. If you want a groomed beach, where you need to run out in the morning to reserve space for the day for your canopy, go elsewhere. Here, you will share the beach with a few neighbors and their dogs. This is a repeat visit and hope to make it an annual trek before the busy season. The owners supply everything you need: just bring your clothes and whatever food you’ll eat. We feel like we belong here and this is our house.

Beautiful little home on a beach where its very private and quiet. I was the only known soul on the beach at night and in the morning. Great place to walk for shells and the like, or catch the sunrise. Rescued some sea cucumbers and tossed them back in the bay. Lots of bird and wildlife activity too. Perfect little space for my mom, sister and I. Enjoyed the accommodations, hope to return in warmer weather.

We come each year for my son’s spring break and always have a wonderful time. The house is clean and comfortable, hosts are extremely responsive, and the beach is lovely.

The Host(Linda); was very responsive and helpful prior to our stay. Upon arriving we(myself and my partner), were blown away by the charm and cleanliness of the property. Highly recommend for anyone with children looking for a calm getaway with easy access to a private beach and the Lewes area.

Our family of five stayed at this beach home and loved every minute. It's in a great (beautiful) location and had everything we needed. Very clean. Short walk over the dune to the beach. Linda was amazing, she is so thoughtful and kind. We are so glad we found this rental.

Very very quiet spot (at least this time of year), hardly saw anyone else on the beach! Water is clean, beach was soft and clean - easy to walk on (once past the burrs and other dune plants) :). Appreciate the wooden pathway! Beach does not seem to have been too badly damaged by recent storms. Many crabs to amuse you on your walk thru the dune. Easy and convenient parking, nice view from the deck and kitchen - loved the adirondack chairs and binoculars. Our 5 yr old son was excited to watch the big ships go by every day. House had every feature we could ask for and then some - special little gifts and touches - very thoughtful - felt welcome :). Would definitely come back again in the off season for a longer stay to laze in the sun and wind and pretend I own the whole beach....thanks for a nice trip! Recommended.

This was our third stay at Linda’s house. It is so well supplied, clean and located steps from the beach. At this time of year the beach was mostly deserted; perfect for sitting in one of the house’s beach chairs and reading a book. Linda is an excellent host. She offered a late check out which was wonderful when packing up after 5 days. The Broadkill Beach location is perfect for day trips down to Lewes or Ocean City. The beach house was very nice and super clean. We loved the location right by the sand and water. It was fun to sit on the deck at night and do stargazing, look at the moon, and listen to the waves. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. We weren't far away from restaurants in Milton that we enjoyed as well. The host was hospitable and communicated by text with us. Due to the scheduling of other reservations, we were offered a later check out time and enjoyed a couple more hours of sun and sand before we left. This was a birthday trip and the host brought a card, flowers , and a few birthday balloons to the house!!! How kind and thoughtful. We'll certainly consider returning in the future.

Being steps from the beach was an absolute joy and the house was just perfect for my sister and I to have our visit together.

Our family of four had a fantastic and relaxing stay at this house! Everything was clean and comfortable for us and our kids. The beach is just a few steps behind the house and was perfect for lounging and playing. The deck was a great spot for hanging out at night and stargazing (we even saw the Starlink satellite train fly by one of the nights!). This house will certainly be on our list for a return visit!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place for a low-key vacation - and we found it! Although there are houses on either side, when we were there in mid-September it felt like a private get away. We often had the beach almost to ourselves. The deck provides a lovely view of the backyard and the bay over the dunes. The house was very clean and well appointed. We cook a lot of our meals while on vacation, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Linda - the owner - was friendly, responsive, and very easy to communicate with. The location - with direct access to the bay/beach and proximity to Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge and Cape Henlopen State Park - makes it a must visit for a peaceful vacation with lots of nature and wildlife.

This property is beautiful and quiet with easy access to the beach. The house is well stocked and they have anything you need for a day at the beach. The owners are very responsive if needed. Would highly recommend a stay at this property.

This property is absolutely beautiful! Our kids were so excited to be greeted by a small gift and candy on their pillows! The adults were able to enjoy some relaxation and down time while kids played with the toys too. Relaxing on their back deck with a beautiful view, walking to the bay to play in the sand and beautiful views are just the beginning. The area is wonderful itself and located close to popular beaches and boardwalks providing plenty of entertainment. Linda is so kind and responsive and really made this first experience with vrbo so easy!

Such a pleasure staying at this lovely home! We hope to be able to book again in the future because it was exactly what we were looking for! Peaceful, private, and fun for a family that just needed to step away from busy life for awhile! We loved the wrap around deck and view. The kayaks were wonderful and we loved the extras like movies and playing games like Othello and Dominoes together. Linda's kindness and hospitality was so appreciated!

My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property owners were very communicative and eager to accommodate our needs. The place is comfortable for 4 people- nice sized bedrooms and big open kitchen and living area with a nice view of the water. There were plenty of clean bath and beach towels, boogie boards, sand toys, kitchen supplies, etc. Thank you so much for making my daughter's birthday trip such a memorable one!

Our family stayed for a week and it was so peaceful. The house is exactly as advertised and the location cannot be beat. Linda was a wonderful host!!

A great home and a great location. The amount of items they had available for us to use from chairs to shovels to umbrellas, Made the stay incredibly enjoyable I didn't even have to go out and get a bunch of spices to cook with. Definitely planning on returning.

This home is delightfully situated in a low-key area on Broadkill Beach. It was a fantastic location for me and my family. Linda is looking very to rent from and so very thoughtful in her preparation of the property. I highly recommend this lovely rental.

If you are looking for a simple, care-free, cottage vacation with an amazing, private bay beach location - this is it. Clean, all the necessities taken care of, pantry items, games, puzzles, towels, beach chairs, and a nearly private beach. It’s not “fancy” but everything you need is there and we’ll taken care of. Away from the hustle and bustle but close to breweries (Dogfish Head, Revelation, Crooked Hammok and Big Oyster brewing, restaurants and beautiful state parks - Henlopen was gorgeous!!!!

We enjoyed our time at this house. The accommodations were very nice and the easy access to the quiet beach is awesome. We have vacationed at Broadkill Beach several times, but it was our first time in this house. We would definitely consider staying here again. Our toddler especially enjoyed the toy kitchen and the outdoor picnic table seating on the deck (in addition to the beach - he likes the sand now, still coming to terms with the water!). Thanks for a great place to stay for our (mostly) quiet family beach vacation.

Property was as advertised, with a communicative owner. Great stay, wonderful location. Ended up staying another night and currently planning another trip for this year and booking for next year as well.

So close to the beach! A small boardwalk takes you direcy to the beach. Gorgeous views from the porch. Amazing hospitality from Linda during every communication. We even met some of the neighbors who were super friendly too. Can't wait to get back!

The cottage and beach are great for a couple or small family. Premises was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything possibly needed. Direct boardwalk to beach. Very few people this time of year. We wanted a place that was small, quiet, but oceanfront and we will return to Broadkill Beach and the cottage. Wish we could have stayed more days but time was limited. This neighborhood is transitioning into larger rentals and in, say 10 years, may be very different. But hopefully a cottage like this will be available for a couple like us.

Beach view and access was the best part of this stay

We’d never been to Broadkill, but it was perfect for a relaxing retreat! The night skies were clear and beautiful, the sunsets & moonrise & beach were lovely. The home was just right for me and my 2 teens. Lots of amenities, linens and towels provided, comfy and clean home and porch. Just right for our spring break.

Had a long weekend in October and spent three nights here. Awesome location and nice place to spend those nights. Owners were very communicative, especially when we experience a local water outage. Weather was the only negative to our stays.
