Wow, what a fantastic home we absolutely loved our stay over Christmas. We had such a warm welcome from Ian with lots of lovely surprises from a Christmas hamper to amazing decorations around the house. The garden was secluded for our small dogs and then of a night the tree outside was beautifully decorated. The location for local amenities beaches and sightseeing was spot on. Everything’s the house was provided, clean and beautiful. We will definitely be back and 100% recommend to family and friends, loved it at Bishopsgate ❤️

We were pleasantly surprised when walking into this property, it completely lived up to the photos and more. It was spotlessly clean, and so warm and inviting. It was lovely to come back to after a cold day out, always so warm and inviting. It had everything you would need , even though we ate out every day, after all we were on holiday. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again

We had a lovely week at Bishopsgate, the accommodation and location are excellent. If it was possible to score more than 10 then I would as Bishopsgate is that good. It was lovely to be greeted on arrival by the owner who showed us around and recommended places to go and restaurants to try, the welcome hamper was lovely treat. Wellswood is a delightful village which has everything you require, including a deli which has a café serving excellent breakfasts. only 10 minute walk from the house. The owners Ian & BJ and the poodles were fantastic hosts and everything was perfect. Would highly recommend Bishopsgate as a super place to spend a relaxing holiday. We had a wonderful 10 nights at Bishopsgate, for the time of year (November) it was a lovely warm cosy house to come back to. We made the most of public transport to visit numerous places around Torquay. We had the best host you could imagine, who was so kind and helpful. We were left a wonderful hamper of goodies too. We wouldn’t hesitate in returning to Bishopsgate .

From the moment we stepped into the house it felt homely and smelt wonderful ( the reeds all round the house) Lovely little touches, lovely Christmas hamper waiting for us and beautiful Christmas decorations by Bj,nothing was too much from Ian, a lovely man, very friendly and went above and beyond. Six star service from the moment you first met the Owner who can't do enough for you on your arrival or throughout your stay. The attention to detail that will leave you wanting for nothing. The house is immaculate, there are thoughtful little details in every room which make this house a cut above the fabulous. The welcome basket is tasteful, useful and very much appreciated down to the freshly frozen ice in the freezer waiting for you. A beautiful property in a beautiful location within easy reach of the coast (300yrds up the road), to the village that hosts all your needs. We stayed during Halloween and the owners had tastefully decorated it for us. Give yourself a treat and go and experience luxury at a great price,. We will definitely be going back. Just perfect, could not fault it. We had such a lovely welcome when we arrived and everything explain about the house, local eateries etc, we also received a gorgeous hamper which the family loved. Our 3 Bulldogs loved the garden and made themselves at home immediately, after all it was there holiday as well ! Really can’t wait to go back Thank you Bishopgate and Blue Chip 🥰

Ideal home away from home for three generations of my family plus the dog! The South West Coastal path was stunning and Wellswood is a lovely village. Our host deserves a special mention for his welcome and anticipation of anything we could ever need!

Wow! From the minute you walk in you are really getting a 5 star experience. The spacious layout, gorgeous decor and homely feel made this holiday a real "home from home!" The location is fabulous with beautiful walks, beaches and exciting outings for the kids right on your doorstep. It was lovely to be greeted on arrival by Ian and shown around and the welcome basket was a nice treat. Thank you Ian and BJ for being so accommodating and quick to respond to any query we had. Beautiful house and gardens, felt like home from home but with a touch of luxury. We had a lovely welcome by Ian, the owner of the property, along with a superb hamper - we knew straightaway that we had chosen the right place for a great holiday. Bishopsgate is very dog friendly with a safe garden set in a perfect location, ideal for scenic walks. We would definitely stay again.
