This place is special primary because of its garden and the staff. My only criticism would be to encourage the owners of the units to improve the working ondition of the staff and invite the renters to be very generous towards the staff before departure. We stayed at Albatross this Christmas 2015. First impression is that the complex is not on the beach side of the main road as the map in HomeAway says it is. Instead it is down and on the other side of the main road, which was dangerous to cross every time. The condo for the most part was clean however we found out there was no AC so the windows had to be left open all the time. This would not have been too bad but we had a smoker next to us that was out on his patio everyday at 6am hacking up a lung, roosters that crowed all night long and a pack of dogs that were very vocal. The sink in the powder room was broke, Angel did come and fix that, toilet got clogged but again Angel came and fixed that. There were only 4 bath towels for 5 people and after 4 days of me asking to get one more towel Teresa came through. So not so thrilled with our accommodations, the grounds were kept clean and neat. Cabarete beach was fun. There are a lot of places to eat on the beach. We did get scammed by one of the local people Vincent selling tours. He lied about what the tour would be and then never showed for the horseback riding. Life lesson learned!!!

It's a very good choice either for a family with kids or someone how likes a calm place to relax and with short distance to everything else around it.
