Great property for stay with 3 couples. Each had own bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Excellent for gathering on the deck to sip wine and watch the sunset. Able to easily walk to boardwalk.

We loved both the view off the back (onto a lovely garden across the way, the San Lorenzo River and even a glimpse of the famed Boardwalk) and the location for walking (10 minute walk to the beach, 20 minute walk to the wharf). The house was large and comfortable and has everything needed for a great stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the backyard even provided a couple of delicious oranges and lemons. The hosts were very responsive (we wanted to extend our stay, and they made it a very easy to do so). Even though it is very close to the road, it is still quiet inside for very peaceful nights' sleep. We highly recommend this house.

Very accommodating stay for 7 of us. Plenty of room, huge dining table and lots of games and activities for the kids. Short walk to the boardwalk where there is lots of fun thing to do!

Overall was a great visit. Instructions for the protocols were easy to follow. The house was great and had a gorgeous patio with view. I wish the weather had been nicer but it was a great experience.

The reason why I rated the category “accuracy of online listing” a 3 star was because the pictures on the site didn’t do the beautiful home justice. I was nervous renting the house because of the pictures but still chose the house because of location and it fit into my budget. When we arrived I was so very pleased with the cleanliness and the welcoming feeling the home gave us. The downstairs was PERFECT for the teenagers. Lauren was the best host. I asked her so many questions and she always answered promptly and didn’t mind my crazy amount of messages. She made the process so easy for me. I highly recommend this spacious wonderful home.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! The Location was fantastic as it was close to everything (seriously, like a 10 minute bike ride or 5 minute drive to anything). The deck had a great view of the river and the space itself was good for our group! The stroller and sand toys were also very helpful for us as our kids loved the beach! The issues: there a few ants in the kitchen, the main level bathroom, and a large number of them in the garage. They were likely being driven in by the rain, but we recommend the pest issues get resolved by the owner. The beds and pillows were not of great quality (at least for our liking). They were way to soft and seemed very old and worn out. Some of this is opinion but in general they seemed of low quality. Overall, the stay was great and this place did provide what we wanted for our stay, albeit with a couple minor issues.

We enjoyed our short stay at this lovely house. It is located within walking distance to the beach. The house is spacious with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 2 living areas, and a huge dining table. Lauren was really thoughtful and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely come back!

We had 6 adults and a child of 11years old. However, our car had a malfunction on Sunday mornings, so my son and I weren't able to go to the places that we planned to get to! Fortunately, we brought our own bikes, so were able to take a short ride. Then we did get the car looked at and fixed on Monday, but it took some time. We rode the bus with the rest of the family to Natural Bridges with our bikes. They took the bus back, while we, with my granddaughter, rode back to the house. My son went to pick up the car! A limited visit, but thankfully still had a good time! Laurie

Was great walking distance to boardwalk and the wharf

The house was just right for a girlfriends’ visit to Santa Cruz. The size, space and number of bedrooms and bathrooms were just what we were looking for. We loved sitting on the deck enjoying the view in the mornings and afternoons and were happy to be able to walk to good restaurants. Lauren was a responsive host when we had a question about the heating and the house was clean with everything we needed for our vacation. We would definitely rent this house again!

The house was well equipped and had plenty of room for our group. The location was good as it seemed we were never far away from where we wanted to go in the area. Also a great view from the big deck!

We absolutely loved this place. The owner was very responsive and we enjoyed our long weekend here. VERY close to the boardwalk (we could hear the happy screams from the roller coaster in the afternoon - it was a joyful sound) but also within walking distance to the beach. It was perfect for 4 long time friends to have a getaway and reconnect. I'm hoping to stay again in the future.

Wonderful alternative to staying at an overpriced hotel. Very spacious and clean with an amazing view of the river and sunset. Location is excellent. Very close to the boardwalk.

the house is very nice and was perfect for our group. we enjoyed the large living/dining room. the kitchen needs updating, but we we supplied with everything we needed. the sunsets were beautiful.

Perfect house in the perfect area! Close to sooooo much that’s within walking distance. House is very well equipped from the kitchen to the beach equipment. Owner is quick to respond to any questions! Beautiful breeze in the evenings to keep the house cool although there is a portable AC unit upstairs. The basement stays cool all day. Beds are comfortable. Area is quiet. Definitely on our list to stay again when visiting the area.

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Buena Vista beach house. It is perfect whether you want to be super busy or just relax. Drinking coffee out on the deck was a lively morning routine, plus the bike ride up to the lighthouse and down to Capitola was amazing-thanks for the bikes! Easy walk to beach and the boardwalk-the kids loved it! I’m ready to book again for next year!

Our family trip to Santa Cruz was amazing! The home is a very close walk to the boardwalk which our grandsons loved! They, also, used the lower level of the home as their space. The deck off the upper level was amazing and had a great view of fireworks! It was , also, a short walk to the beach. The home was very clean and the checkin and checkout process was very easy. We would definitely rent this home again.

We like staying at this home as it is large enough for our family of seven. This is our third year in a row staying here. Lauren is great answering any questions we have had in a timely manner. See you next year!

Had a nice time in this cozy house with a beautiful view. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean. Rustic kitchen could use an update.

Proximity to everything Very spacious

Several family members gathered here from out of State for a week before going to Ben Lomond for a wedding. There was plenty of room. The location is great and the large deck with a view of the river is wonderful. It’s easy to get around from this location. The owner was easy to communicate with, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is our second visit to this property. Walk it out. Walk to the local mini market, bar, salt float, 2 beaches, park, river walk, breakfast spots, burgers, pizza place, resturaunt, coffee spot and much more. The streets are narrow and parking can be tricky in some spots. If your reasonalbly healthy it's good short excursions. Walking from the house to the end of the Peir on the otherside of the boardwalk takes about 26 minutes at a leisurly pace. Most the stores and eats I mentioned are only 5-8 min away walking. Dark at night so walk carfully.

The spacious house was great for our family get away. The large den area was perfect for the kids to play in. The house was well stocked with so many things..Excellent location with an easy walk to the Boardwalk.
