Very nice week in Aruba. Management and owner quite attentive. Close to a great beach and snorkeling.

Loved the property. Ann met us at the house and walked us through it all. A lot of beach towels, beach chairs and beach toys for the kids. Pool was great for chilling in after running around the island all day! Would come back in a heartbeat!

Just as beautiful and comfortable as it looks online. Great location for getting to beaches, grocery stores, and restaurants. Pool was clean and well designed (the kids and adults used it nightly). Lots of bedrooms and a pull out sleeper sofa, 4 bathrooms so everyone was happy!

We had the most amazing Aruba vacation at this beautiful house! The house is gorgeous and well-equipped with everything you need. Susan (homeowner) was extremely kind, informative, and prompt to respond to any questions we had. Anna (property manager) was extremely friendly & helpful upon arrival. Our stay consisted of 5 adults & 3 kids (ages 12-16). There was plenty of room for everyone and we especially loved the pool and spending time at the comfy outdoor dining area. We will especially miss our days on Eagle Beach, dining out & Pup Pup, the neighborhood dog who made daily visits. She was the sweetest dog who we spoiled with lots of belly rubs & treats. This was one of the best vacations we've ever had & would love to come back again!

This was my second trip to Esmeralda Escape. I loved it so much last time with friends that I brought my family this time. The hosts are wonderful to work with, the house is located so that everything on the island us easy to get to. We loved the separate houses, the kids loved having their own place. Some days we never even left with the tranquility of the pool. I have to say my favorite part of the entire trip was having Pup Pup the neighbor dog come visit. I have to return soon just to go see her. Thank you Susan and David. We will be back soon.

Our party of 6 adults spent 10 great days at Esmeralda. The location was great and the house was well equipped and clean. The beds were the most comfortable we have had in a rental and the pool area was my favorite place! Anna checked us in and was very helpful and we had the pleasure of meeting the owners who couldn't have been nicer! It all made for a great vacation. Thank you Susan!

Everything is just as pictured and we look forward to returning next year! Susan is a wonderful host and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. If we needed anything all we had to do was call the property manager. The outdoor area is very spacious and the pool area is beautiful. It’s like being in your own private resort. We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful property with lots of space and everything we needed! Plenty of beach towels, three coolers for beach trips. We appreciated having the alarm system for extra security. Very good air conditioning and lovely outdoor seating areas - both shaded and sunny. We did find the hot water was not plentiful and a little unpredictable. But, not a major drawback for us. The location was a quick drive from beautiful beaches, restaurants, groceries. The property managers were very responsive and helpful!

This was the perfect house. We had 4 Adult couples and it accommodated us wonderfully. Susan the owner was amazing to work with. If I sent her a message she promptly replied. I would book this house again if I come back.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay. It was clean and spacious (4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms) and was kid-friendly, which is a plus for us as we came with our 2yo and 4yo children. Susan even provided a crib and high chair for our youngest which was a huge relief for me, less things to pack! We had absolutely everything we needed, from beach towels and chairs to candles, condiments, everything. Having a pool on the property is also a plus. Yolanda the property manager was very nice and always responded quickly whenever we needed her. I would definitely recommend this property to others!

This property is the best. Went for a quiet girls vacation. This place delivered. The property has everything you need for your stay. It was like a home away from home. I can't express hoe enjoyable the pool was. Yolanda the property mgr was awesome. She was available if we had questions or needed information. This place is on my list of returning. This was our first trip to Aruba and we certainly have no regrets in selecting this house to rent. The house itself set up very well for us (2 couples) with all the amenities we needed and, not really knowing Aruba, we lucked out on the location as it was perfect: quiet, convenient and only a 5-min. drive to Arashi Beach, which became our favorite after visiting a number of beaches on the island. The house itself is very clean and the yard and pool were great! The owners were always very responsive and more than willing to provide tips and info. prior to and during our stay. Similarly the property management co. was also responsive and Yolanda, from the co., even stopped by to check on us the morning after most of the island had some power outages, just to make sure everything was alright, which it was. Much appreciate. Thank you Susan and David for the stay!

Great house for our group of 7. Plenty of room to spread out and wonderful patio area for nightly games and drinks. Property owners and managers were great to deal with and very responsive with answers to our questions.

What an amazing home! So comfy and clean. Loved the two house set up with the beautiful, relaxing pool in between the two buildings. Also loved that is was a quiet neighborhood setting with plenty of privacy. Thank you! I will be back!

Overall very good

Esmeralda was a gem of a hideaway. With two homes that create a border around a center plaza of a swimming pool and breezy covered hangout porch for a dining, reading, everything space - it felt special, clean, inviting, hotel-like but with the comforts of home you miss when doing a travel hotel experience. The beds were phenomenally comfortable. The staff was so welcoming and helpful whenever we needed anything. The bonus of two separate spaces left plenty of room to retreat on your own. The games for the kids were awesome. The availability of towels, laundry, cooking space, and an amazing detailed list of where to go and what to see made it so easy. We were five minutes from the most amazing beach and 5-10 minutes from shopping, groceries and restaurants. We got a car and I'm grateful we did. Thank you, David and Susan, for letting us stay in your lovely paradise away from home. It was an amazing stay and we plan to come back!

This property was so perfect for my friends and I. Located so close to the beach, shops and entertainment. We did many of the local excursions such as Jolly Pirates and a UTV tour, and it was so peaceful to come back and lay by the pool. The house itself was so nice and we really appreciated the AC after a long day in the sun. I highly recommend staying at Esmeralda Escape and we will 100% be returning and recommending to all our friends!

This vacation experience was unlike any other!! Susan & her husband went out of their way to make sure our time spent in Esmeralda was perfect! The location of this home, the cleanliness, the pool, guest house & the list goes on! Our time spent in Aruba was made better by coming home to this sweet escape! Everyone had space to spread out, we had all the essentials in the kitchen to cook family meals & we loved evenings around the pool with everyone! We plan to be back! Thank you for this gift we got to experience!!

Overall, we had a very nice stay at Esmeralda Escape. Positives:Very large private back yard.Comfortable furniture throughout the property.Very comfortable beds and nice bedding/pillows.Efficient air conditioning.Property is very close to the major points of interest on the island as well as Superfoods.Property very well equipped with beach supplies, pool toys, sheets, towels, coolers, etc.Very helpful owners.Negatives:Hot water. The house has a tankless water heater. In the main house you had to run the water for several minutes in order to get hot water and the back house never had hot water, just tepid at best. Being that we're supposed to conserve water we felt bad about how much water we were wasting in order to get hot/warm water. I would recommend installing a regular hot water heater and ditching the tankless one.Dishes - would be nice if more dishes matched. I would recommend buying matching dishes from a restaurant supply place and shipping them to the island.Management Company - We were led to believe that we had to be checked out on our last day so they could check meter readings, get keys, etc. We requested they be at the property at 6:15 a.m. but they did not arrive until almost 7 a.m. They told us they would read the meter and charge us if we owed anything. Although we still made out flight with time to spare it was a bit of a stressful way to end our fabulous vacation on Aruba. Way too many keys to carry around. I would definitely recommend trying to rekey some doors so they use the same key. It just doesn't look very professional to hand guests a jumble of multiple key chains attached together with 25 keys on it. I would stay at this property again as long as the hot water situation is fixed. Bruce Robertson
