This was the worst rental experience I've ever had thru VRBO. Property was dirty-furniture awful-pictures and listing features did not match.

To start this review I must absolutely rant and rave about the location and Mother Nature's magnificence. This property is located on one of the most beautiful expanses of beach that you will find anywhere. White sands, extremely clean (almost no weeds, or natural or manmade debris), and crystal clear water. Fantastic! Regarding the property itself, we were very pleased. The views from it's multiple decks were amazing, and recent updates were beautiful. The the property was well furnished and amenities were extensive. Truly a great place for our group to enjoy the joys of oceanfront living, if only for a few days. If I were to cite a couple of things for improvement I must cite the check-in and check-out times. Checking in at 5:00 pm on one day, and checking out by 10:00 am on another day in essence reduces, for example, a four day stay to only 3 1/2 days. Are 7 hours really necessary for cleaning? A couple other minor things were that the keypad on the lower level was extremely temperamental (we almost never could get it to work), and while the grilling surface on the outdoor grill was clean the burner area (underneath the grates) was filthy. (It burst into flames as soon as we lit the burners.) I would also like to take a minutes to compliment the city of Navarre Beach. A lovely city! Clean, plenty of restaurants, and in close proximity to grocery stores and other retail establishments. I would also be remiss if I did not mention the pier. Amazing facility and a walk out to the end is well worth the time and effort. Bottom line: This property is highly recommended!

This house was perfect for our large family vacation. There are a lot of stairs, but no one minded. That should be a consideration for older people. We loved the lower patio….so convenient to drop our stuff and pick it up again to go back to the beach the next day. The kitchen is large enough for several people to put together a meal, and lots of room for everyone to eat. We were missing one chair at the end of the table, however. Not a big deal, we managed. We never needed to communicate with the manager, but we were given all the numbers to do so, had we needed to. I hope the next family has a wonderful time in the house. We certainly did!

The property is a very nice location, our family of 14 was very comfortable. our only complain will be that the room downstairs was humid and moldy, needs to have a dehumidifier to help air circulate better, other than that it was very nice. Thank you

We enjoyed our stay at this house. It sleeps 18 comfortably. The master bedroom is amazing and is beach facing. Other bedrooms are comfortable. Short walk to the beach. Main level has seating to accommodate a large group. Bring your own ice as the ice maker couldn’t. accommodate our group. Other houses/condos are very close but we still had plenty of beach space to ourselves. Overall nice place to stay!

Renting through VRBO was fairly simple.

TV’s didn’t work for days. WiFi was in & out. Could not stream at all. Guest room has huge water bubble in the wall. Plug ins were iffy whet they worked it not. You could push some into the wall. Dryer quit working days after we we’re there. The second master suite had two beds in that room. The ice maker on the fridge made ice but could not get the ice to come out like it should. Only parking space for 2-3 vehicles which was told to us the day of check in. Still sand on the floor when we came into the house. Property needs attention. It’s basically just barely maintained. Needs to be updated in some areas. LAYOUT of the house is spectacular but that’s the best thing about the entire house. No lock on the downstairs bathroom. Roaches in the downstairs bedroom. My family and I have been going to Navarre for over 20 years, and have never stayed in a house this disappointing ESPECIALLY for the amount of money we paid for a week. Not impressed at all! The pics are very deceiving. House is yellow in pics also and now house is blue. Highly disappointed!

Beautiful setting and great house. We had eight people in the house and everyone felt like there was plenty of room. We will be back.

I highly recommend staying here. I’d do it a again in a heartbeat.

Overall great beach front house and loved the swings on the bottom deck and grill!

The property was a great size with incredible views of the gulf. We had a large group of people split among different friends and family and we never had any issues with the house. A bit of sand in the beds, but nothing bad enough inside the house to warrant a bad review. The included propane grill is in need of a desperate upgrade/maintenance. We had a great time overall and I would definitely return again.

House was in great location, Managing staff were rude, house was not clean, appliance not clean, dishes not clean. Air conditioner was not large enough to cool house, so it was uncomfortable to sleep, dryer was very loud, and the refrigerator was leaking so you could not make ice. Had to wait an extra hour to check in so they could have ample time to clean but they was not the case. Love the area but won't stay here again.

We loved pretty much everything about this property. The location is wonderful, the size of the property was perfect for our children, grandchildren, and grandpup. The layout of the home had great spaces so we could be together but also spaces to get some alone time. We all loved our time at the Shorehouse and would highly recommend!

House is lovely. Icemaker did not work and leaked water. Even if it has worked it could not have kept up with our family's needs and that was not a problem, just an FYI for you. A new dust pan would be good. hard to sweep sand in the one that is there.

Beautiful property right on the beach. Plenty of room for multiple families to vacation together.

We took all of our kids and grandkids on vacation and the house was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone.. Amazing people to work with from start to finish. Highly recommend this house!!!

The property was nice. The upper 2 floors were fine the ground floor however with the bunk room was not great. The whole area felt damp and smelled of dampness., much like a basement...not ideal for sleeping ...this was a great disappointment as we needed this space to sleep our group.

This house accommodated 3 families with kids + grand parents for 1 enjoyable week Dec 21-27. Well furnished with well equipped kitchen and main level beachfront balcony. Winter sunrises and sunsets viewable from balcony! Hurricane Sally Damage impacted usual quick access to Pensacola Bch restaurants but we ate in mostly for COVID precautions. House keeping could have been more thorough with 6 hours to get things done—sand on floor under sofas/ cushions and sand in one bunk bed with no sheet. Concur with comments on need for ceiling fans in all bedrooms. Since only 1 bathtub was installed the ladies highly recommend installing hand wand shower heads in other bathrooms. Navarre Beach a nice, quiet, non commercial stretch of the gulf to be enjoyed. Bring your beach stuff and board games for those rainy day/late night socials. This place fit the bill well! Good times!

We love the house since it is right on the beach. However, my whole family was attacked by the mosquitoes. My son got bitten so many times, and his forehead had a total of 3 big "horns". Other family members had the same problem, especially when we stayed at the bottom deck closed to the grill. We did have a very good insect repellent, but it was kind of inconvenient since we could not stay out side that much. I would recommend the other guests to bring insect repellent, and if the property management can do something about it.

Overall satisfied with house. Had plenty of room for 8 adults and 5 kids ages from 7-14. Good restaurants near by to eat out. Most were following COVID-19 recommendations. Negatives are: one bedroom had no ceiling fan which is needed. One room had no privacy curtains or blinds to block out sunlight. With Condos on each side of this property you have limited beach space due to Condos beach umbrellas and chairs being set up on each side of your designated area. Had to get our gear out by 6:30a to have water front seating. And yes, there is a sewer leak under the patio that you can smell when sitting on patio swings. Needs checking into!

Excellent property. Great location. Right on the beach. Great place for a family vacation. The Managment team were very attentive and able to fix issues very quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall we had a fantastic stay at Navarre Beach. The house was the perfect location - Nice, quiet beach and beautiful views just as the pictures show. This property was the perfect size for our group of 12 - 5 adults and 7 teens. The downstairs bunk room and sitting area was perfect for the 4 boys. The kitchen is very nice and well stocked with high end appliances. The master bedroom and bath are stunning with amazing views. The downstairs deck area was the perfect place to store all of our beach items and we enjoyed the use of the grill and ate several meals on the picnic table. We did notice some strong, unpleasant odors in the master bath and kitchen. The outdoor area could use some sprucing up and nicer furniture. Some of the slats on the swings were broken. Lay down loungers would be a nice addition to the decks. Also some of the furniture: including mattresses and box springs, living room couch and chairs are worn and need to be replaced. We did very much enjoy our stay and look forward to another trip to Navarre beach in the future.

My family and I stayed here between Christmas and New Years for a short family get together. 14 adults and a baby. The house met every expectation I could have had. It was clean, and was just as nice as the pictures. I would like to come back and stay in the summer so we could use the beautiful decks that overlook the beach.

House is across the street from a sewage plant and the smells can be awful with wind direction. New home construction next door so there is a dumpster and port-a-potty right in front of the house.

This rental house was just as described. It is a great house for a beach vacation. Upon arrival the house was very clean and organized. My entire family enjoyed our stay. The staff of Gulf Coast Getaways answered all questions and concerns . They were very helpful and did their best to make us happy. I would definitely recommend this house or renting another from Gulf Coast Getaways.

Better be in one vehicle no parking. The trash from previous renters was still in outside bins and the smell was awful! Pics on website did not show condo right next to house or construction of new house on other side but workers were courteous and did not start at dawn. The house was clean and comfortable. Need a better beach path but was not terrible. Staff very easy to deal with.

The view is great but property needs lots of repairs and is dirty. When I am on vacation I don’t want to have to be contacting property manager. We have no mixer, no dust pan, not enough towels and dish towels, bulbs out all over, water spicket outside on bottom deck did not work for sand wash off, kitchen cabinets filthy (looked like outside not wiped for years). You could have written wash me on range hood it was so dusty. There is a nasty piece of rolled green carpet on lower deck not sure why but smells of mold. House being built right next door so awaken daily by 7am with hammering and the port a potty smell is gross. No blinds on slider, front door or bedroom upstairs with 2 queen beds. Needs major cleaning. We have been staying in Navarre for 13 years and this was worse. The property manager was very responsive but I don’t want to be contacting them and waiting for them to drop off and fix anything while I am trying to enjoy my vacation.

Enjoyed the many beach view options and close access to the beach. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. VRBO was very hands-on and helpful.

The house is very nice, the overall location (Navarre) is also very nice. However, the adjoining lot is being built and it is a mess. There is no beach access now (the mess and construction is so close they had built the stairs that lead down to the beach onto this lot and there is literally caution tape blocking you from going to beach). The beach access the owners offered (which is a lot more walking when you are carrying all your beach things) is now flooded with the water tanks they put on the lot. It smells horrible-- especially the basement and under house). And while the owners say not to worry there are "quiet hours", all day long is the beeping, bulldozers, banging..... You really can't use the area under the house at all, and the decks are super noisy- even the master bedroom was very noisy (the construction workers were very nice in general). I realize it is beyond the owner's control- but they seemed to just minimize the issue saying it wasn't a big deal, and definitely did not offer any type of compensation for the dramatic decrease in value of the property while this is going on. At one point when they flooded the lot to put in the support foundation and put a port-a-potty literally at base of this house's driveway, blocked cars in for over 2 hours and blocked the beach access the owners stopped responding to my emails entirely (asking to let me know where property line is so we could figure out where to park). Next year I am sure it will be lovely place again, but this year is very rough and I would try to stay somewhere else.

It definitely could have been cleaner, we found lots of rat poop, but it was so large and opened with great views that we were able to over look it. Also some notable weather damage, and the TVs has problems, but we loved that beach and the low traffic areas.
