We moved to this hotel because are AirBnB in Allen flooded and the owners of AirBnB did not address the flooding in 24 hours. Marriot was great, it was a hot summer day but the hotel was cool, clean, and relaxing place for me to visit my friends from Michigan! And Marriot found 3 rooms on the same floor...

The room was set up very weirdly, ultra-modern

Breakfast was ok. The first breakfast location that we went to was out of silverware & had not much of a breakfast selection. We then discovered a breakfast sign (that should be relocated & higher up) that read "Breakfast buffet etc ... $18.00. After a couple saw the confusion & frustration in our eyes, they told us we were in the wrong location. Finally, a staff member approached us & informed us that we were not in the residency guest breakfast location & guided us to the right location. The staff member was very apologetic & very understanding.

Check-in was very stressful. After travelling 5 1/2 hrs., a family member was told that her room had been cancelled by a third party. She never cancelled the room. All they could tell her that it was cancelled by a third party. Could not give her the name of the person who cancelled it. Was then informed that there were no more rooms available! Other family members as well as myself & my husband travelling the same distance, frantically checked to see if we all still had our reservations. Thankfully, we did! 30 minutes had past & finally a couple that just so happened to step up to the desk to check in & had a room with double beds were asked if they would be willing to trade with another family member who had a room with a king size bed so that she could share her room with the other family member (husband/wife) who's room was cancelled by this mystery third party. The couple agreed to this. Even though it was family...it was NOT the ideal stay for a couple to have to share their room with another person. At checkout it was discovered that another family member was charged an additional $15.00 parking fee!!! It's just kind of hard to come back to a hotel that has so many issues with booking & charging additional fees.

We were here for a Cheer competition @ the Star Frisco & it was a nice walk to that venue & near by restaurants. The hotel is beautiful & the staff were all very kind & helpful. When I checked in, Razi put me on the 4th floor but when I asked if he could put our friends nearby or at least on the same floor, he was happy to search for other rooms so our girls could be close by. We ended up on the 6th floor. We never ate at the hotel due to the schedule we had to keep but we did order from the Starbucks inside the hotel which was handy! I used the valet service & when there were no carts for me, Eric & Corey were quick to help me carry things up to our room! Also, check out is @ 11am BUT my daughter wouldn't be done with competition until around 4pm. They brought my car for me to load & then re-parked it so I didn't have to look for somewhere else @ no additional charge.

I would have liked a larger room but didn't see any other options available? Certainly not a deal breaker but when we travel for cheer, we often end up with lots of visitors from the teams.
