Better than expected

Our family stayed at this unit for 8 nights and it exceeded our expectations. It was comfortable, very clean, and had plenty of space for the 6 of us. The beach chairs, towels and coolers came in very handy, not to mention having a washer and dryer. The ocean view from the patio was outstanding, especially at sunset with the breathtaking views. We were a few minutes from beaches, restaurants, shopping centers and food trucks, which made our stay very convenient. The property manager was very friendly and checked in to make sure everything was going well and provided activity suggestions. We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I stayed for 6 nights at this property and we are so happy we booked here! The owner was amazing from the start and communication was outstanding! The management company was also very much on top of things and responded quickly with questions we had. The property itself was beautiful and had everything we needed! It was super close to the Sheraton beach and we walked there in about 5 minutes! The property had beach towels, chairs, and the kitchen was stocked with all you needed to cook! The property was clean and the bathrooms were fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash! We had a gorgeous view from this ocean view property and we can’t wait to book again!!! This Poipu Kapili 2 bedroom, 3 bath was exactly what we needed! The townhome had everything listed and the Kapili Townhome complex was private & safe & clean & within a short 6 or 7 min walk to the beach in front of the Sheraton (Kiahuna Beach) or a 3 min drive to Poipu Beach. Loads of Restaurants to choose from and shopping malls and grocery stores within minutes. We used Google maps and Yelp to find places and their hours. The host has good recommendations also. The host (Belle) was helpful & pleasant from beginning of reservation to after the stay was over. While we were there we had surfing lessons, did Snuba, saw numerous Monk seals (even had one bump into my 18 yr old grandson while he swam in ocean), saw numerous Sea Turtles at Poipu Beach, played hours of board games and card games, swam in Kapili pool, went Water tubing, and saw Luau Ka Hikina (Highly recommend)! Then after checking out we drove all the way to Pu'u O Kila Lookout (elevation over 5000 ft). What a view! Not to mention the Waimea Canyon State Park on the way up and back. Still had time to shop and eat before going to the airport at 4pm. An unforgettable vacation for my 3 oldest grandkids and us.

Really enjoying looking out from the master and the living room at the ocean waves each day. Having three bathrooms for showers after day at the beach was a plus. Property is very spacious and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay!

This is one of the nicest properties I have rented. Given location, hosts, etc likely the best rental we have had on vrbo in 15 years. Location is great. If you snorkel, the reef on the West side of Kiahuna Beach is great, you can walk to Poipu, Lawai or Koloa Landing and jump in there and be inside an aquarium. Kiahuna also has fun surf (shore-pound) for body boarding and swimming. You can rent day beads at the Sheraton. At low tide you can walk across the street and check out incredible tidepools (bring your reef shoes). Townhouse itself is in a great little community with a pool, BBQs greenbelts, etc. Rental is stuffed with useful stuff (Beach Towels, Body Wash, Paper products) and we really didnt need much of anything. I bought some Charmin Ultra soft, but i am a TP diva. The views here are perhaps better than the photos. The AC works well. Be sure you follow the directions for the climate control system. They werent set correctly when we arrived and the first few days the temps were wildly inconsistent and likely used more energy than was necessary. Hosts were friendly and helpful at every level. The only small negatives were community related. We had to move our car due to sealing the parking lot, our next door neighbors had a flood of some kind and they had to check our our place and the hoa had to gain access to spray for bugs (in hawaii this is a good thing trust me). I would feel really lucky to be able to rent this place in the future. Thanks!

The condo was wonderful! It’s meticulously kept with everything you need. And the views constantly remind you of why Kauai is such a special place. We would definitely stay here on our next visit!

Beautiful property in a perfect location with views and sounds of the ocean just outside the living room and main bedroom. Opened up sliding doors whenever we were “home” to hear ocean waves… so relaxing. Apartment was beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Beach was a short easy walk away. Everyone wished we could stay another week!

We celebrated our Mom’s 85 th birthday. The condo was beautiful and clean. The owners are so amazing and helpful. Everything we needed was provided and available. The location is amazing. I can only pray that we can stay there again. Dream come true! Thank you.

The owner was a joy to work with, responded quickly, did follow ups during our visit to make sure everything was OK. The condo is lovely, very comfortable and well supplied. Great location, close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Beautiful sunset views over the water right from your patio.

Our family of 5 had such a great time staying here. It was a great location, close to beaches and restaurants. We loved the pool too and the condo was beautiful with sand toys, chairs, & snorkels. Would definitely stay here again!

The place was beautiful! Amazing ocean view! The location was extremely convenient there were 2 shopping centers within a 5 minute drive. The place was as advertised. Clean and comfortable. They had everything you needed to cook. We normally don’t say this, but we would definitely rent this property again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Overall, we love Poipu Kapili and have stayed there many times. A couple things to note about this unit: Pros: Beautiful ocean view. All the locals line up in front of this part of Poipu to watch the sunset, it really is the best around! Great size for our family (grandparents, couple + one infant). Well-equipped kitchen, laundry room and lots of towels were appreciated. Poipu Kapili and their amenities never disappoint - beautiful grounds, pool, tennis courts that are all really well kept. Location is great for walking to the beach Cons: We had a rough initial experience with the property management company where the person we spoke to on the phone couldn't find our reservation and hung up on us. The owner was very apologetic and every other experience with the management company was improved and they were very responsive and kind. Getting packages from them was a breeze (which is very helpful)! We were disappointed in the A/C, it was set to not go below 74 degrees, when we asked about this, the owner suggested that we open the windows instead (which probably works great with the ocean breeze, but unfortunately we had a newborn and we were trying to keep the windows closed for noise and my husband and mom like to sleep very cold so this was not a good solution for us). Something to note if you like it cold! The bathrooms and master bedroom have been recently updated (and were beautiful), but the downstairs living area and back bedroom felt pretty dated and dark.

This is a wonderful property in a great location with amazing views! We really loved our stay here! So close to Poipu Beach and people drive from other places on the island to come right in front of our resort to watch the sunset! And we just got to watch it right from our porch! Super responsive host and comfortable beds! Our only (minor) complaint was it got a little bit warm at night because you cannot adjust the thermostat past a certain point due to HOA restrictions. But the owner was super apologetic and tried to give us as many tips and tricks as possible to keep the place cool. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great location. Spacious, clean and had everything we needed. This was our first time on Kauai, and honestly this was probably the best rental there. It was within walking distance to two little shopping malls. Close to restaurants, and most importantly, a five minute walk to the beach. We saw whales from the lanai, and watched the sunset every night. Truly a fantastic vacation.

Such a beautiful condo, perfectly situated so you can hear the waves from your bedroom and watch the beautiful Kauai sunset each night from the lanai. This was a perfect rental. The location was amazing- great view of sunsets, walking distance to shops and restaurants and beautiful beaches. Belle the hostess was extremely responsive and helpful! Youwill not be disappointed. We will be back for sure!

From the moment I inquired about the property, I knew that booking with Belle would be the right choice and wow, she and the property exceeded all of my expectations! The condo has an incredible layout, comes with everything you need for the beach, cooking, etc and is feet away from the water and pool! The back lanai views are to die for and at night you you have a sunset so great that even the locals line up to watch it. Could not recommend this property more, we will be back! This condo was better than advertised. It was larger than it appeared in the listing and the ocean front location was great. It was extremely clean and had many amenities of a 4 star hotel including all bathroom products, fresh coffee, beach chairs and towels. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay on the south shore of Kauai!

We have nothing but great things to say. Property is gorgeous with Oceanview out the deck. Kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook. Super clean, and great clear communication at every step including for check-in and check-out. Remodeled bathrooms, comfortable beds, beach chairs and beach towels for use. Great pool within 100 feet and we played pickleball in the courts on the property. Amazing! Loved staying on the South side of the island and this property is within easy walk to Poipu Beach. All in all met and exceeded all our expectations!
