We just returned from touring Normandy, loved it and highly recommend. This lovely apartment was central located in both Bayeux and the Historic battle sites. It’s well appointed, comfy beds (queen beds). To get to the second room you need to walk through the other bedroom. BR2 has a full bath. For BR 1 you have to walk across the LR/DR, but not a big deal as we were traveling with a family member. We considered taking the other room but it’s smaller. Keep in mind there are 3 flights of stairs, not really a big deal except for arrival and departure. the owner provides a key to the building and the apt so it’s secure. I don’t recall if there was a safe. If your from the USA, there wasn’t an English speaking TV station…I like to watch the daily news, not even BBC. But we're there to site see, not watch TV, right. There's a washing machine and the owner was kind enough to provide detergent. No dryer but there is a drying rack and for things you need to dry quicker you can use the towel heater. There isn’t air conditioning and we were there on the warmest week of the year but the apt has two portable fans that did the trick. Parking is not free unless you Use a free lot which is located several blocks away so unload and relocate your car. The owner responds quickly to email, too. We would certainly return to this apt should we return. Thank you!

We had a great stay at Bruno’s apartment in Bayeux. It was clean, spacious, and in a fantastic location. Bruno was very communicative, hospitable, and helpful. He pointed out grocery stores, restaurants, and other helpful hints that made our visit so easy. The pictures do not do the apartment justice—we loved it! We highly recommend Bruno’s apartment for your Bayeux trip.

We had a great stay in Bruno’s spacious and comfortable apartment. The view from every window is spectacular, we loved it there and hope to return one day. The four of us are in our mid sixties and managed the stairs just fine. Thank you Bruno for being so attentive to our needs and generous with the cookies. Au revoir!

Bayeux is such a beautiful town! We had the best stay in Bruno’s apartment! He is so accommodating! He let us in early on our first day and met us right outside the door! He walked us through the whole apartment and made sure to tell us all the places to go! He even helped us track down where to get a car! Anytime we had a question he was so quick to answer our questions and help us. The views are amazing the beds are so comfortable and there is everything you could ever need right in the apartment! The host Bruno could not have made our stay any better even meeting us on arrival to show us the car park. Amazing apartment on the 3rd floor of an old historic building. Expect 3 flights of original stone stairs but its worth every step when you open the door to this lovely comfortable well appointed home away from home for your stay in Bayeux. Highly recommended. Dont miss Patissiere guillaume for the croque monsieur.

Bruno went over and beyond in EVERY way possible.The unit was outfitted like a home with all the extras needed for a short stay. It is stunningly appointed. However, if you’re a senior with heavy luggage, this is a walk up 4 flights. Bruno actually carried our luggage both up and down when we checked out. He called the cab for us, brought extra fans as it was very hot (no AC in Bayeux), and came to the unit to show me how to operate the washer/dryer. Be aware that to get to second bedroom, you need to go through the main bedroom. As we were family, it was not a problem. We would stay here again and Bruno is a wonderful host!

After venturing up to this 3rd floor apartment we were delighted to discover it was worth every step as we entered a beautiful, very clean, newly decorated, and very comfortable space to be our home base in the Normandy region. Both retired couples in our group each had a private, pleasant bedroom which are located off a kitchen-dining-living great room. A bathroom with shower and small washer is just off the kitchen. The smaller bedroom is accessed through the larger one but is equipped with its own private bathroom with shower. The large windows throughout offer beautiful views which include parts of the Cathedral. They open to provide great ventilation and are equipped with room darkening shades. The kitchen is top of the line and fully equipped. The unit is very tastefully decorated. Bruno was an added bonus. He was wonderful to work with. He was dedicated to making our stay perfect even going out of his way to accommodate our check in and check out needs. Bottom line: we loved staying here, would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it.

Bruno was very communicative and helpful in all aspects of our trip. The place is centrally located and just about everything in Bayuex is walkable. It’s a magical place rich in history, beauty and fine dining. Be sure to enjoy the chocolate shop around the corner for coffee and pastries in the am. The accommodations we spacious by European standards and well appointed for anything you may need. The are local charcuterie and wine shops and the cathedral is stunning. Lots of restaurants and taverns all within walking distance. We fell in love with Bayeux.

We had a lovely time at a great location at a great property, and had the perfect host! The property location is ideal for visiting the town, which is in the historic area and around the corner from the cathedral. There's also a very convenient parking lot, a 2 and a half-minute walk from the apartment. Beyond Bayeux, this was a great location for us to visit both the Normandy Beaches and Le Mont Saint-Michel. The apartment was better than the pictures show, we were very well pleased! Everything was clean as a whistle, ship-shape, and in working order. Very nice indeed. However the best part of the visit was our host, Bruno. We had a fellow traveler who had a nearby hotel reservation. After checking in to our apartment, he helped us locate it. However, the hotel had no record of our traveler's reservation. Bruno walked with us from hotel to hotel to try to find a spot. Ultimately, he made arrangements to accommodate the traveler in our apartment. All the while he translated and provided much assistance. It is obvious that he truly cares for his guests. He gave us much of his time and effort. We are very grateful! Bruno, many thanks again for your gracious hospitality. We would love to return to your place and the great village of Bayeux. We highly recommend!!

We had an ideal stay in Bayeau. This home is on the third floor of a quaint building that is centrally located. The accommodations were clean and well appointed. Bruno was extremely knowledgeable and quickly responsive. We will definitely stay here again should we return.

The location cannot be beat! Ease of parking, clean and very pleasing flat. Bruno is very accommodating and kind. Nice option having the washing machine. One note- You must walk through one bedroom to get to the other, which was fine for us. 3 story walk up with an AMAzing view of the cathedral. Great light and fresh air. Also a great price! This is a beautiful property in a great location. Bayeux is a hidden gem and this apartment is in a great location to explore the area. The host is wonderful, and took great care to ensure we had a magnificent experience. The only caveat is the property is on the 3rd floor and this old beautiful building does not have an elevator. That would be a consideration for someone who cannot easily navigate stairs. Overall, this is a great property with a great manager. We strongly recommend it for the adventurous looking to explore Bayeux and the surrounding Normandy area.

Great experience with this location. Seeing the glow of the cathedral upclose from our room at night was amazing. Very clean and a perfect location being one street away from restaurants, shops and sites made it close yet quiet. Thus far the best property we have stayed at!!

I cannot give high enough praise for Bruno or his charming apartment in Bayeux! Bruno is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay in Bayeux. The apartment looks exactly like the photos in the listing - it is charming, comfortable, with beautiful views and centrally located on a historic street. Numerous excellent restaurants and shops within a five minute walk. We will mostly definitely stay in this apartment again the next time we’re in Bayeux.

Bruno's apartment was perfect for us. My husband and I were traveling with another couple and it was a wonderful home base in such a charming part of Normandie. The only thing to note is that the back bedroom connects to the living space through the other bedroom. But it also has an en suite bathroom so didn't make too much of a difference for us. It was actually night for the early risers to escape into the living room and we hardly heard them. Bruno was very helpful and a delight. Highly recommend!

The city, the apartment and Bruno, the owner, were all fantastic. Bayeaux is a very pretty and tranquil small city—had never been before and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment is just off of main street through old section of city and close (short walking distance) to cathedral, tapestry museum and restaurants/shops—with striking view of cathedral. Bruno was great in communicating and just extremely nice—very pleasant to interact with. I really can’t say enough about all three. Some things to know about apartment are that it is three stories up via stairs, not an issue for us, and the access to second bedroom is through the first, also wasn’t an issue for us. Bruno plans to expand apartment in future (up a level) which should make it really ideal for family/larger group (we were just two). Finally a plug for three restaurants at which we ate—La Rapiere (best meal we had in our near two weeks in France); Au Louis d’Or (really good galettes/crepes) and le moulin de la galette (ditto, with incredible location on canal). And there were a handful of other restaurants where we would have like to have eaten but our stay wasn’t long enough.

We hadden uitzicht op de kathedraal, die tijdens ons verblijf prachtig verlicht was. Het was fijn om winkels, restaurants, musea e.d. op loopafstand te hebben. Er is een gratis parkeerplaats voor de auto op ongeveer 200 m afstand. De eigenaar was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam en reageerde snel als we een vraag hadden. Fijn appartement, een aanrader.

We had a wonderful time in Bayeux. The property was very clean and up to date. Everything needed for our stay was included. We reserved this unit several months n advance — Bruno was great to communicate exactly what we needed to do for check in. He was flexible with our check in and check out time. For D-Day touring, from the Pegasus Bridge to Utah Beach, this apartment is in a perfect location. The city of Bayeux is very welcoming. There is a beautiful view of the Bayeux Cathedral from the skylight. The apartment is well kept, new and comfortable. The only negative is the many steps up the 3rd/4th floor apartment. The owner is informative and very friendly. It is highly recommended.

W absolutely loved our stay in this apartment. Bruno was the perfect host and between his high school English, my high school French and google translate we had no problems communicating. The apartment is on the top floor so expect to climb some stairs, but the payoff is worth it. The apartment is perfectly located close to all the best parts of Bayeux and features a breathtaking view of the cathedral. At night they light up the cathedral and the view plus the sound of the cathedral bells was magical. The place is immaculately clean, the beds are very comfortable and everything in Bayeux is a short walk away. Bruno even gave us a lift to the train station at the end of our stay. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Bruno is wonderful, gracious, very accommodating, and responsive! Apartment was lovely and Immaculate.. It is a quiet street, just steps from parking, close to shops and sights. We would love to stay there again and hope to in the future!
