Friendly welcome, ideally situated in the centre. Good clean room with all the facilities you could need.

Very steep narrow staircase but it’s only a problem if you are less mobile, like me. Building work right outside my bedroom window gave me an early wake up call.

Breakfast room was great, the breakfast had a very good choice, all you had to do was ask. they also spoke very good English which was very helpful to me The Hotel is in a good position to access most of the tourist spots easily on foot. Parking is a problem for this hotel as it is for most of the hotels in the town.

The Menin Gate has scaffolding around it but this is nothing to do with hotel.

A great hotel close to the main square in Ieper. The room was very clean. A great breakfast each morning with bacon and eggs cooked personally for you.

Breakfast was amazing. To have the option of bacon and eggs every day included in the price was exceptional. The location was great, only a minute from the square and a few minutes from the Menin Gate. Also great location for visiting war memorials, museums and cemeteries relating to WW1. We were well looked after by the owners.

The location was great. The member of staff at check in was really helpful and knowledgeable. We were given advice about parking, things to do, where to go, etc.

We booked a double room, but ended up in the quadruple room which had 2 single beds against the radiators in the room. We had to move them away from the walls so that we could get some heat into the room. There was very little room to move about the bedroom because of all the beds. At breakfast we were asked if we would like any cooked food. We asked for eggs on toast. However, it was served with bacon - as we are both vegetarian we had to reject that. If guests ask for 1 thing don't assume they mean something else.

I thought that the hosts were helpful and friendly. It was clean and comfortable, as well as being quiet and close to the town centre with its restaurant and bars. The bicycle storage facility was good. I thought the breakfasts were good with a good variety of food available. Ypres is the of Flanders and there were loads of places to visit.

Third visit to Ambrosia and it is ideally suited for visiting the Ypres Salient battlefields. Bars/restaurants all within walking distance as is the menim Gate. Staff are so helpful and friendly
