beautiful place nestled in the mountains, very cozy feel to it

rooms were slightly dated

- awesome employees (receptionist, waiters and especially the guide - he is really professional and knows a lot about weather and the perfect tracks in the region) - good restaurant (nice entrecôte bagel for lunch) - great design of the restaurant

- the rooms are outdated - spa is really limited

located very close to all the trails in chaltén, this is a lovely old school estancia. the owner is so kind and friendly. highly recommend.

if you have a car it’s a great place to stay just outside El Chalten. Alfredo the owner is very friendly and helpful. single rooms are small but functional.

A working farm and a well run family hotel, a few kms outside El Chaltén. The lady of the house has Norwegian roots, as we unmistakably noticed and also learned from a framed newspaper article on the wall: an interesting story that led to interesting conversations with her 'porteño' husband later in the evening, when he served dinner. Good meals, excellent wines.

The owners were amazing. Alfredo went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and had a great sense of humor. The property is beautiful, with various farm animals and domestic pets. It's possible to walk into town, but it's a long walk - maybe 45 min to an hour. We took our time hiking into town, stopping at some of the viewpoints such as the condor lookout along the way. If you're looking for a comfortable and clean hotel outside of the town, this is a great spot.

It's not very walkable to restaurants, bars, etc. No other issues to note.

Interesting place with a history and quirky but helpful proprietors, in the middle of nature. The on-site restaurant was quite good (fortunately, since there’s nowhere else without a long drive into town).

Since there’s no cell service out there, the fact that WiFi was only available in common areas and not in rooms was really not good. Our room was somewhat small, but we had chosen a basic room, so I guess we have no complaint. Long unsealed access road an unpleasant surprise.
