the location was great breakfast fab and the staff were so good, we loved being able to sit in the comfortable lounge in the evening for a drink and the Dinner menu was also lovely. I would highly recommend this hotel.

There is nothing I could ask the hotel to improve on it was perfect for us

great location on Venice's Zattere, which offers a free view and the first sunshine of the day. Restaurants, cafes and the Zattere Vaporati stop are all very close. The interior of the hotel is very cosy, carefully chosen and during the warm(er) seasons you can use the terrace on the Guidecca Canal or the garden.

Everytghing was great. The bathroom could have been a bit "fresher"; the door didn't close that easily. t

Our experience was great, staff were so helpful nothing was to much trouble, breakfast was super and set us up for the day. The evening dining was excellent and good value. The location was perfect in a lovely area within easy walking distance from everything you would want to do and see in Venice. I would highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is located very close to the traghetto stop. We loved the decoration, the staff, the breakfast and the restaurant. It was a good experience.

Traditional pensione with very friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely breakfast with a great variety of choice with amazing fresh produce. The location of this hotel was perfect for us to explore an area of Venice we were less familiar with. Many good restaurants on the waterfront and the area felt less busy than the main tourist area. Will definitely use this hotel again in a heartbeat.

Our room was on the top floor which was a bit of a climb given the old building isn’t able to have a lift. However the charm of the interior made up for this and one of the staff carried our cases up and down on arrival and departure so can’t complain.

Good all around stay.

It is beautifully located, great connection to Lido to the festival, to the airport and San Marco is within easy reach on foot too. Calm, spacious, very helpful, friendly and professional staff. They are very responsive - before and during my stay too. Bed very comfortable, quiet room. Breakfast very nice. I am grateful I could enjoy your hotel.

There is nothing to dislike or not be as it should be

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at La Calcina. The room was pretty basic, but clean and comfortable. And the location is fabulous. An easy water taxi to the cruise port, an easy walk to see the sights. Very peaceful and quiet at night. Our room had a view of the main canal and pedestrian bridge. The staff were exceptional, and the breakfast was very good and properly served.

Nothing bad to say about it.

The Hotel staff were amazing. Particularly Samuele who made the experience so warm and friendly. We felt absolutely taken care of. The main areas of the hotel where light and airy and you really felt connected to the vistas of Venice, waterways, architecture and everyday life. The position of the Calcina is very handy for visits to all the attractions whilst also situated in pleasant and relatively quiet area of the Zattere.

Almost everything. Stuff friendly, very clean. Love decor of completely building and furniture.

Homemade bread and croissants were wonderful. Good coffee. Delicious eggs and bacon. Fruit and yoghurt were also available.

The bed had broken springs which was annoying.

The emplacement was great (not crowded by the tourists) and taking the breakfast with a view was amazing.

The mattress was a bit hard for me.
