We had a lovely room, very comfy and cozy! The staff was super friendly and Philip and Gary are gracious, welcoming hosts with great tips and ideas for places to visit. Breakfast was also plentiful and very yummy!

Booked this property a couple of weeks before the trip as it was a bit of a late decision to have a few days away, I wasn’t disappointed. There was a parking space available for each room in the property which was ideal, the property itself looks fantastic and was easy to find. We were advised that book in times were between 15.00 and 18.00 and we arrived at 13.00 and our room was ready so we were allowed to book straight in. The room we booked was a compact double room which was as described, it was perfectly suitable for a 3 Night Stay with enough storage room for our luggage and had a standard double bed which was of good quality (the mattress was very soft – just for information) The room had the usual extras Kettle, Tv, Hairdryer, Fan etc. The Bathroom again was compact but serviceable and of very good quality, the rooms and the rest of the property were cleaned and maintained to a high standard. The hosts of the property were very welcoming and it felt that nothing was to much trouble, they were on hand for any questions or advice about places to visit or things to do if needed. The Breakfast served in the property was top class, all quality ingredients and again nothing was to much trouble and you could select from a cold menu to start followed by a hot food menu plus a never ending supply of toast and Tea/Coffee. Plus on our last day we made a couple of drinks for our drive home and asked if we can have a small drop of milk for our drinks and we were asked if we wanted anything else to take with us for the journey. There were some lovely areas of the property including a bar area and outdoor seating area plus some nice touches like a fridge which was kept in the dining area with some small flasks of milk or bottles of water that you could take to our room to make a drink with.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at The Torcroft which is beautifully decorated and has tasteful touches in respect of the furniture throughout the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and again very nicely put together. It’s quite obvious that Gary&Philip do their very best to keep improving aesthetic feel of the Torcroft. I have to say also that they are very friendly and nothing seems to much trouble for them. Their staff work with a smile on their faces which causes a feel good factor. Breakfasts are delicious, eaten in a spacious well lit room. We will definitely be revisiting this very pleasant hotel. This review is written with sincerity and honesty so I can whole heartedly recommend The Torcroft. Tony & Catherine.

The property was exceptional. The decoration and furniture were excellent and really made the place stand out. Parking was available.

Gary & Phillip were so kind & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble they made us feel so at home. Best most comfortable bed ever in a hotel/b&b, slept great. Definately recommend, breakfast was lovely & they made our stay extra special. The cocktails were divine. Thank you guys!

Every aspect of the beautiful Torcroft was perfect. I adored the period features of the house, Phil and Gary’s decoration choices and furnishings are just superb. They have paid great attention to detail everywhere that you look. We received amazing service, more than expected for the price we paid. The breakfast choices and quality again was top notch and will look forward to returning.

Lovely hotel, very nicely presented. Perfect hosts, warm, friendly and welcoming, nothing to much trouble and very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was excellent. Good location, just a 10/15 minute walk into the main quay area where the restaurants and bars are, a bit of a hill but nothing serious just good to be aware of if you have any mobility issues. The honesty bar was a really nice addition, . Great selection of drinks ( just needed a bottle of baileys and it would have been perfect 😃) and a lovely elegant lounge to relax and enjoy your drink.

Gary was the perfect host on our arrival, sensitive to the unusual reason for our stay, and helpful with suggestions, including where to eat. Philip was also very helpful and his suggestions for activities on our departure were welcome and very useful. Breakfast was very good. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone else.
