Easy check in, friendly, thoughtful owner. Apartment had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy. Pool was great, as was the hot tub! Grateful for the laundry facilities. Easy access to everything in Taupo. Recommended booking tours/activities in advance as we turned up for the Huka Falls boat at 10.30am and it wasn't running as no one had booked. You can book anything you need through reception :)

Lovely pool and hot tub, beautiful view and location

I have stayed here regularly for the last 6 years and always had a wonderful experience and wonderful service from the hosts. Unfortunately the new manager was super rude, starting off our stay by looking as us as if we were below staying there and telling us “we’ve got new carpet so don’t ruin it” (and he wasn’t just having a laugh). I mean that’s just a crazy way to “greet” a valuable customer? The following day he spoke very rudely to my son who wanted to know when the pool was opening. He said to him “well actually if you can read the sign says the big pool doesn’t open until 9” he’s only 6 so no hadn’t read or even seen the sign. My son was quite confused as to why he got told off as we had asked politely. Later that morning he told of my friends autistic son for screaming while playing in the pool. His Mum was right there and was working on getting him to stop screaming, this is a bit of a process for her because of his condition he is non verbal, communicates using sign language and he’s also not aware of how loud he was being or that other people don’t like it. Yes he was being loud but he’s disabled little boy who was just having fun in the water and telling of somebody’s 6 year old isn’t appropriate when the parent is there (especially when is quite obvious he’s not a typical 6 year old) He needed to talk to his Mum not him. And also does this mean we are no longer welcome to bring our autistic children on a well deserved night away? If you don’t want to hear children making noise while they are playing make your hotel adults only. I’ve spent thousands over the years staying here, I will never stay here again!!!

Excellent facilities, comfy beds, lots of space. Loved using the spa and the bbq. Hosts are so welcoming and kind. This will be our new go-to when in Taupō.

Our unit was very quiet and the gardens and surroundings lovely. Nice to be in a motel that’s not surrounded by concrete door to door!
