The decor of the property was beautiful and the instructions and communication with the host was very friendly.

The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable , could feel every spring and the base of the bed. Evidence of the building being damp with mold appearing and wallpaper falling off the walls. If the extractor fan worked in the bathroom this would have helped.

Was an exceptional location, right beside the chester walls, very short walk to the old town.

Advertised as a bed and breakfast, but was a bed with no breakfast for the three mornings we were there. No one around to explain the reasons behind this. These breakfasts would have been included in the cost, which was on the higher end. I feel a refund would be appropriate and an explanation.

The cleaning lady was nice and got us a fan. The location was ideal. The decor was quirky and pleasant.

The room was quite small with nowhere to sit. The chest of drawers were in need of TLC. The bathroom was very narrow and the toilet roll holder was loose. All night we could hear a beeping noise which turned out to be the alarm box outside our room. Also we told the place we were aiming to get there at about 2pm. We arrived at 1.30pm and was told that it wouldn’t be ready until 2.30pm. Lastly, we were rudely woken at 7am by scaffolding being erected outside our room. I appreciate that this was out of their control but if they knew it may have been a possibility, they should have told us. My son who has autism was very distressed by the unexpected drilling sounds.

It was chic, clean, quiet, and private.

The beds were so comfy! I also really enjoyed the contactless entry with the key pads. I contacted Maison Claire late last week in order to ensure everything was all booked and the lady I spoke too could not be more helpful and sweet, she was lovely.
