Exceeded my expectations so everything was great

Staff were friendly.

Tatty. Stains on the carpet. Areas not as clean as they should be. No cold water - even the toilet was flushed with hot water ? Very basic - travel lodge or premier inn better.

フロントがとても親切で責任感が強い。変換プラグを忘れてしまって借りたが、迅速に対応してくれ助かった。 5月初旬にしては季節外れの寒さだったが室内は快適な環境だった。 観光地のど真ん中から地下鉄で約30〜40分のEaling Broadway駅から徒歩5分の駅チカな立地で、周辺にレストラン、カフェ、M&S、スーパーマーケット、コンビニがありほとんど困ることはないだろう。寒さ対応などプライマークでリーズナブルな服を調達もできる。夜も静かだった。 次にロンドンに来ることがあればまたXanaduに泊まりたい。

it’s so central, comfortable and the staff as so pleasant

Breakfast was very good, wide selection of food and drink. When I checked out I asked if I could bring my car round to the staff car park adjacent to the hotel to pick up my bags and a staff member carried my bags out to my car, which really helped me as I didn't then have to carry my bags for the 5 minute walk back to the public parking and up the 6 flights of stairs (the lift was out of action for renovations until july)

When I was looking for a booking I put parking in the filter. Parking is an essential factor for me as I have restricted breathing prior to an operation at Charing Cross Hospital in 2 weeks time (10th May) to remove a growth in my windpipe. Hotel Xanadu advertise they have parking and I quote them: “Hotel Xanadu has a limited parking space, therefore has to be booked before check-in to secure a space” I had paid for my booking when I discovered that what they meant and I quote was “With respect to the public parking, we mean Ealing Broadway parking.” I was then unable to cancel my booking. When I turned up on the day, as it is a shopping centre carpark, I ended up on the 6th floor and the lift was closed for renovations, so I had 6 flights of stairs to carry my bags and more than a 5 minute walk to the hotel. This was highly stressful for me, I really struggled. Saying they have parking is misleading, the Hotel should remove their parking claim. Any self respecting traveller can search for nearby carparks themselves and make their own informed choice whether to book or not. When I ‘went to bed’ I noticed one of the pillows (see photos) As the pillows had no pillow liners and one of the pillowcases wasn’t put on properly, it left the end of the pillow uncovered. So I saw how dirty and stained it was. As a result I removed all the pillow cases and they were all really stained (body fluids including blood spots) and dirty. By this time it was very late, so I put all 4 pillow cases onto one pillow. The pillows were disgusting and not what you should get for a hotel charging £224 per night, please change your pillows. As the pillows weren’t covered it is very obvious that the staff knowingly make up the room every single time with filthy stained pillows. If you book here, check your pillows asap when you check in and ask for clean ones before you put your head on one late at night. Otherwise everything else was immaculate with lovely linen and towels.

Nothing we loved our stay

Excellent location! Lots of restaurants right around the hotel and the underground station was barely a five minute walk. Helpful staff, and clean and comfortable room. Would recommend 10/10!

I wish they didn't wash towels that was hanging every day - for the environment's sake. I also had some problems on my last day there figuring out train schedules (in the middle of strikes) and the staff was not able to help me. It is worth noting that I asked this question in the middle of the night, so I understand that helping me was difficult.
