Pictures look good, but rooms are not comfortable.

Doors slam. Staff just shrugs their shoulders, nothing we can do. Really?! The slamming doors rattle the walls!!! The Haka House owners should spend at least 3 consecutive nights (preferably on the weekend) in their hostels. I guarantee there would be a solution to the doors immediately!!! One easy solution is to limit laundry hours.

3人部屋に滞在したのですが、窓際のベットはカーテン等での仕切りもなく、プライバシーが護られておらず、寝ている時でも気になって仕方がなかったです。

Lounge area, big kitchen space, location is okay.

Some of the photos used are not representative of the actual rooms, please update so people know what the rooms look like before booking. For example, a three bed was advertised in the photos as three single beds with plenty of floor space but when I checked into the room it did not look like the photos whatsoever. It was a very small room with a bunkbed and another bed squashed up against it and hardly any floor space at all. I had a large suitcase which did not fit in the room and had to change rooms because of it.

This hostel fills an important niche in the very expensive Queenstown accomodation market, by providing a cheaper alternative that delivers all that can be expected from a budget option and is handily located. A good option for our adult family group prior to walking the Milford Track, including free luggage storage.

まず　宿泊代が高い　設備が悪い それと1番重要なのは　受付時間が20:00までとbooking.comには書いてありましたので　決めました 19:00に到着予定でした　実際は17:00ごろに到着しました それがラッキーでしたが　スタッフは　18:30には帰宅します　予定通りに19:00に到着していたら　どうなっていたのでしょう　恐ろしい事です

Staff are helpful and friendly. The entire facility is warm enough during winter. Location is good and the city center is within 10 minutes walk.

Very clean and spacious kitchen and dinning facilities. All the rooms have excellent ceiling heaters.

Really noisy at night, people thundering down the hallway, and up the stairs, the noise travelling from the women's bathrooms into our dorm

The staff the location, basically everything is fantabulous but the blatant profiteering is beyond disgusting.

Driving away paying customers by raising prices to such extortionate rates in reprehensible and is a massive disservice to the hard work all the staff in this place put in, from regular receptionist to management. Greed is not a good look and driving people away with your prices ain't a smart play

Nicely located next to the lake, just a short walk from town. Nice staff, and very very big. Many social areas too.

It was not the cleanest one when i was there, but this might not be the staffs fault as unfortunately some of the people living in the hostel live in an absolute mess ( just the hostel experience in NZ i guess). Kitchen is quite run down. Still a decent hostel though.

the vibe, the energy - so joyless. whoever owns or runs this place needs to give more love to their staff because they’re miserable and made it obvious that they are - which in turn made it very uncomfortable and blech.

Kitchen and fridges not very clean. Guests fault really as they should clean up after themselves.

Fridges were completely full and not very clean. Soap ran out in the bathroom and there was no new one in three days. I never saw a dry tea-towel during my stay, way too expensive for what is offered.
