Close to hot pools and the road for our trip.
Soft bed.
Reception staff wasn’t keen on local hot pools business (cost) which wasn’t kind - considering we only stayed there because we were pools customers!
The room washing up notice of $50 fee if dishes weren’t done was unfriendly. Personally I don’t want to leave the washing up standards to the last guest.
Also we had to pay in full 2 days before arriving - which is strange.

It was a clean, roomy 2 bedroom apartment which suited us for the overnight stay.
It had the minimal kitchen resources for staying there. We ate out so it was not a problem.

Of all the accommodation on our 3 week tour of the South Island, this motel was one of the best for facilities provided. You name it, it had it.
Everything was clean and tidy and there was great parking facilities.

Great location, just over the road from the hotpools. The room was modern and very well presented.
We couldn't get the shower to work. When we asked the manager to show us how it worked the next morning he did but he put more pressure on the taps than we were prepared to do with fear of breaking the taps.

The same thing I don’t like about many hotels and motels - beds with fancy bedspreads wrapped around the pillows and a bit of faux dead sheep at the bottom. I prefer a bed one can just slide into and relax …

The room was newly renovated. The facilities were beyond our expectations. Nice shower box, kitchen and beds. Everything was clean. Would come back again if given the chance.
