It was beautiful, clean and peaceful. A little sanctuary welcomed after staying in hotels. Bonus to have a coffee machine and kitchen to prepare simple meals. Location is perfect and we loved the area.

Tiniest thing would be lack of windows - however, there is enough lighting and aircon for airflow.

Very cozy, clean, functional & very quiet apartment on the ground floor with large bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, living room and bathroom. Nice little courtyard outside shared with the apartment next door, with a table to eat at. The apartment is ideally located close to the centre of Ortigia, (almost directly on the main street) a stone's throw from bars, tobacconists, supermarket and various restaurants, Piazza Duomo & the fountain. The managers are really friendly and available throughout - in person or by phone.

Not much really. Perhaps one more medium sized saucepan would be the only thing I would suggest.

The apartment is central for the island part of Siracusa but bare in mind that most of the food stores, bars and restaurants are on the mainland. So is the archaeological park! About 40 minutes walk. The fresh market is very close but our impression out of season is that the island is pretty much dead. In season it’s probably got a hyper tourist buzz!

It’s perfect for two people BUT. Although shiny, it lacks comfort. Most people who like us prefer self catering book places like this to prepare our own meals. It’s how we travel so much, by keeping the overall price down. By travelling a lot, I mean that we’ve been in Greece, France, Prague, London, Budapest, Seville and now Italy for 12 weeks out of the last 18. The kitchen looks good, but there’s no kettle. When we arrived, just one saucepan. No cutting knife. No wine glasses. As is so often the case, a stunning apartment is ruined by penny pinching in all the wrong places! There were no oven dishes, no cereal or any bowls… a few mismatching pieces of cutlery. The apartment has just one small window. The internal ceiling lighting is brighter than floodlights at a football stadium! The sitting area had no alternative lamps. It’s either pitch black or get the sun tan lotion and sunglasses out! Unless you sit INSIDE the kitchen sink, you can’t actually watch the tv. A simple wall mounted but turntable wall bracket would allow turning it so you can enjoy the tv from the very comfortable sofa. So, little changes would have earned my deducted 2 points. We only paid €45 a night in Feb. In summer it’s €100 a night and for that price we’d have been really unhappy! All that glitters isn’t gold. Silver maybe, but not gold.

The location was amazing, within walking distance to the train station if you don't have too much luggage and right in the center of the island.
