Extremely beautiful view from the balcony and terrace, peaceful location. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly.

Wifi in the rooms did not work, it only worked at the reception.

The location fully justifies the hotel's name and is extremely peaceful, offering a welcome contrast to Addis Ababa. The panoramic view is not just from one's room but also from the bar and restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and made arrangements for an excellent guided tour (I would highly recommend the guide, Ermiyas).

Payment had to be made for a booking that was not used because of a visa delay (although admittedly the hotel was strictly correct as the nature of the delay meant that the cancellation could not be made by the required deadline).

There were some problems with the shower drain

The panoramic is the perfect place to stay in Lalibela. We had a double room but the view from every room is absolutely perfect. Both the sunrise and sunset are magical. If the views weren’t perfect, the beds are comfy, the water pressure is incredible, and the shower was hot! The restaurant was always great and they even made habesha dishes that weren’t on the menu.

The only critique I have is the wifi wasn’t always consistent but honestly if you come to Ethiopia get a SIM. Its cheap and fast.

The staff was really nice and the view from the room was amazing. The room was also very clean.

The internet connection is not very good in the rooms and I found the bed a bit hard.

Really enjoyed the beautiful views from the hotel, especially the sunset in the evening. The rooftop terrace is beautiful and the view from there is breathtaking. A great place to relax after exploring Lalibela. The staff were very friendly and helpful, ensuring all my needs were met. The food is quite good too. I would definitely return

There unfortunately was a problem with the credit card machine which caused some issues during check out. This was the fault of the bank, not hotel, but advise that you double check whether the machine is working at reception

location is a little faraway from tourist attraction sites. Transportation was expensive.

There was a tour guide named Dawit (David) that works with the hotel who was amazing and I recommend him 100% if you are visiting the Rock-Hewn Churches. Dawit is very knowledgeable of the church history and will give you an expert detailed tour.

The views from the room are UN-BELIEVABLE. By far the main reason to stay here. Imagine just chilling in your private terrace watching the sun set over the mountains. But other than that, the staff was great and not overly pushy, the room itself basic but comfy enough, and the facilities in the area look like they would be amazing -- in peaceful times, but right now the place is very empty.

Most of the time there was no power and since there were very few guests the generator was off most of the time. The restaurant had very few options for the very same reason. I wish I could be here before the war and see the place in full glory.

Very good location, excellent staff, everyone is very friendly and helpful, they organised a great tour taking us around Lalibela and the churches for 3 days.

There is not always electricity, though they have a generator. Morning and evenings the generator is running (even if there are not many guests) - would still choose this place over other places to be on the save side with electriciy

We are American expats that have lived in Ethiopia for three years now. We stayed at the Panorama in December 2019 and was floored by the view, the staff, and the incredible value for the price. I had family visiting here this Summer and I made it a point to return to Lalibela and the Panorama if it was at all possible post both Covid and the political situation. We knew going in that the entire city would not have power. We were only the second guests they have had since all that has happened, and they couldn't have been more accommodating for us. They do have their own generator and ran the power for about four hours a day for meals, hot showers, and to charge your electronic devices. The staff were very communicative on when those times would be so you could plan ahead accordingly. We went during the fasting season, and the meals were excellent. I would 10/10 recommend staying here to anyone that would ask me. They are doing the absolute best that is possible in a situation that at most could be described as trying for the people of that region. I hope to be able to go back again and sit on a saddle on the terrace overlooking the breathtaking view, and raise a bottle of St. George when times are better and the hotel is back up and running at full speed. Thank you for making our trip as comfortable as we could have hoped.

I had an overall excellent experiences ! There were friendly staff's , nice view as the name indicate its beyond panoramic , delicious food including their free breakfast , as local people's told me that one regional rebel groups were patrolled the town for more than six months , and fought with government trops due to this many infrastructure damaged like electricities and it has not been reconstructed yet , but i don't pass without appreciating unlike the other hotel's Panoramic View Hotel , Lalibela -they have 24/7 standby generator which give power for the entire of the hotel compound, as the gas station isn't working yet due to the power ,thus they brought fuel for the generator from the local people as a black market , even though there is shortage of water supply but still panoramic view have enough water ....they generally provide excellent hospitality services ! Highly recommended place if you had the chance to visit Lalibela ( finger crossed ) Kathy

Lovely balcony overlooking the mountains & valleys. Great spot to view the sunset everyday! Colourful, spacious rooms. An adapter in the socket and a fan add nice attention to detail. Modern bathrooms come with a hairdryer & luxuriously thick towels. Warm & friendly staff. Abel in particular, was always eager to please customers and ensure their comfort was second to none. Enjoyed a dinner at their restaurant downstairs and pleasant breakfast every morning. A good selection of restaurants at walking distance too!

Unreliable WiFi.

Great location and fantastic views from our room. Lovely little balcony to sit on and admire amazing views. Nice relaxed atmosphere at hotel, good staff. Backup generator for usual power cuts so little wifi outage. Stayed 4 nights. Thanks

The price of beer at the bar (55bir) compared to other places (20-30bir). Staff moving the tables and chairs around vibrate noise throughout the hotel. No aircon in rooms, just fans .... but this was not a problem in Feb.

It is a very, very confortable hotel, looking over a breathtaking valley with crows flying in the skies. They have a terraced garden with flowers, guava trees and (future) mango trees. The food is good, the staff is always cordial and ready to help you, specially recepcionists Habtework and Wubet. Got a great guide, Mekuanint, who not only took me to see all the churches in Lalibela but also to the Yemrehanna Kristos Church, an unforgettable day trip. He is a great guide!

Great hotel, grea staff, always ready to help you and very friendly. Good food. The guide they indicate, Asnake Mekuanint, was the best I met in Ethiopia.
