Too many external lights cheapened the ambiance!

The breakfast was the worse breakfast I have ever had. Terrible value for money. Cardboard mushroom. The sausage was horrid.
A much better breakfast served with better hosting skills.

The honesty and simplicity of the offering, with both the room and the food being perfect for what I required [I was walking the Viking Trail].
The cost of the bed room, which at £124 per night was pretty steep for a pub bedroom in a small village.

This is a warm and welcoming pub in a beautiful quiet village location. Excellent evening menu and friendly staff. The rooms which are fresh, clean and comfortable are set in a lovely courtyard.

Friendly helpful welcome. Outstanding food. A lovely pub and restaurant with reasonable prices. Accommodation was comfortable clean and we'll appointed.
Food service closed at 1600 on our day of arrival. It would have been useful to know this in advance of traveling.

The owners were both lovely and very welcoming, as were all the staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast and service was great. We all had an enjoyable time and said we would stay again.
