Bambuda Castle is a very unique place unlike anywhere else I’ve ever been. It’s very beautiful. I would definitely stay in the castle itself if I was backpacking, traveling solo, etc.

We stayed in a hobbit house which was aesthetically very interesting and provided a unique experience but it wasn’t very comfortable and it’s pretty expensive for what it is. I’m glad I did it, but I probably wouldn’t repeat it.

All around beautiful place

I am not used to someone checking me in a Hotel, Motel, Hostal with a mouthful of cookies or what ever it was they both were eating. When I mentioned it to one of the gals..and received the response of “Well…we are a hostel and in laidback environment”, which I already know, I have been to the Bambuda a few times. It’s called having basic manners and NOT talking with food in your mouth! Especially to the client who is paying their salary..maybe it’s done differently in Panama or Canada. Just my 2 cents Also, staying at the previous Villa Marita, which was deceiving online.. OH Well, there are plenty of other places to stay n Boquete!

pool was a little dirty since the water wasn’t renewing, kitchen was ill-equipped (all pans scratched out completely), dorm was stuffed with beds and there was literally no space (in a bottom bed you couldn’t even nearly sit upright), the location is also far away from town (but the taxi costs about 4$ which is not a fortune)

Great view with a lot of birds and flowers out of the door. The view from the dinning area was exceptional and the staff was very friendly.

The rooms have a common pathway infront so we couldn't had the door open to enjoy the view. Privacy might be an issue.

It was super clean, super comfy beds and a big kitchen. Also has a pool & jaccuzzi, which are very nice. The area is very pretty as it is surrounded by nature!

It’s a bit far out of town, but the hostel has a Whatsapp group, which made it easy to organize & share taxis

it would be nice to have a co-working space. you can work in the garden or at the terrace but it’s no guarantee that it will be quiet enough for a TC

Exceptional setting and equipment with a breathtaking view from the terrace. Nice jacuzzi, friendly and helpful staff... Just a dream!

The garden bungalow was SO cool. Have never stayed in a place like that before. The garden/grounds were beautiful and the view was spectacular. A short taxi to a lot of different trails.

The staff was absolutely wonderful and very hardworking but it was apparent that the restaurant was understaffed.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful! The castle is very cool and had special features such as a TV room, a pool and a hot tub. The rooms were fine and spacious compared to other hostels.

It's a 55min walk from the city to the castle. Taxis sometimes take 30min to pick you up at the castle so you need to plan a little ahead to spend time in Boquete.

Everything, the property and staff are amazing! It's a castle with a pool and hot tub. What more do you need?
