This rental exceeded our expectations. Amanda was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The proximity to the park and comforts of home like the ac grill and fire pit made our stay that much better. We will be staying again the next time we come to visit the park!

This little house is perfect for a getaway to Acadia. We stayed in late October. If you are looking to get away from the crowds of Bar Harbor, this is it. Surprisingly, it’s not a long drive from town, but it’s so quiet. We did two long full day hikes directly from the house. No need to drive! Check all trails for a trail leading directly from town to the quarry trail to Gorham Peak or the Ocean Trail. We found the short cut only on our way back. Super convenient for home cooked meals, laundry (nice!), fires in the pit, and tv for tired nights. Definitely consider this house for quiet, convenience, and comfort.

Perfectly located with easy access to Acadia and to Bar Harbor. A cute, quaint, comfortable and clean place to return to after days of hiking, biking and exploring the area. We will be back!

Our 3 week stay in Otter Creek Cottage was truly amazing. A home away from home. The house is cozy and comfortable, away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. Yet, very close to everything on Mt Desert Island. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are very comfortable. A short hiking trail at the end of the street leads you Otter Cove and Acadia National Park. We would definitely love to come and spend some more time at this home.

The Otter Cliff Cottage was charming, neatly kept and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The yard was private, well-maintained and a nice spot to enjoy lunches and dinners in. What we loved most is that it was just a short drive to everything, Bar Harbor, Seal Harbor, Acadia National Park Carriage Roads, and the shoreline. The property manager was easy to work with and provided quick responses to all our inquiries.

We found the cottage true to its photos and description. The location is between Seal and Bar Harbor, which worked well for us. The fire pit and gas grill weee both nice perks we enjoyed. Owner is responsive and check in/ out as well as recommendations before our trip were great. The little store at the end of the street was also so lovely and we visited multiple times.

House was perfect! Clean and tidy. Newly updated and simply decorated. Perfect so we didn’t have to worry about mixing up our things with the homeowners. Supplied a number or little special touches that really made us very comfortable for the week we were there.

We had a wonderful time at Otter Cliff Cottage. It's a nice quiet neighborhood only 15 minutes from Bar Harbor, even closer to Seal Harbor. The cottage was well kept and equipped. Amanda, the hostess, is very accommodating, and goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable. Our only regret was not staying two weeks instead of one. I would recommend this property and plan to book it again if we make it back to Mount Desert Island / Acadia National Park.

Very cute and very clean cottage! We loved the location in Otter Creek. It is a quiet street that ends in Acadia National Park- we hiked from the cottage and also took the Island Explorer bus into Bar Harbor. Amanda was a great host- she communicated well throughout the entire process and was only a quick text away if we needed anything (we didn’t need anything though- everything was great!). Highly recommend

We stayed at the Otter Cliff Cottage for almost 2 weeks. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Amanda was very welcoming and very responsive. The location is just perfect. The cottage is on a quiet street, yet just a few steps away is a little market that sells clam chowder, lobster and sandwiches which was ideal after a long day and just wanting to eat-in. I work remotely and the internet worked very well. The cottage is also just 4 miles from Bar Harbor in one direction and in the other, access to the many carriage roads inside and outside of Acadia National Park, as well as the other trails. We really felt like we were at home, and would recommend this cottage to anyone who is interested in visiting Maine. This has been one of our best vacations in the United States as we love the national parks and being in the woods. Thanks Amanda for being the most wonderful host. I really enjoyed chatting with you as you live such an interesting life. Meeting Amanda was part of our experience in Maine.

A great location for exploring Acadia. The house is cozy and comfortable -- we were just two adults, so it was spacious, but not overly large; it would be ideal for a family with children. The kitchen is well equipped.

This is the perfect cozy cabin tucked in a quiet part of MDI. Convenient location to get to all the great parts of Acadia and MDI. The Fall Foliage was amazing - luck of timing. The cabin was very clean and had comfy beds and linens and things you might need during your stay. We would definitely stay here if we come back to the area in the future. Lots of great books and brochures with tips about hikes- We hiked many miles even on the rainy day.

The property looked exactly like the pictures, even nicer. It was decorated really well, was very cozy and it is the best fully stocked kitchen in a rental I have ever had. Amanda was great when we had a question and we loved how close and easy it was to access the park!

Perfect cottage for my family of three! Well equipped and clean. We had a wonderful time. Location is very convenient to all that Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor has to offer. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying here again in a future trip!

My family and I absolutely loved this property! Such a cozy cottage and super clean. We enjoyed being in a quiet area but yet still being within a short drive of everything!! This cottage had all of the little touches that make a place feel cozy and like home away from home.

Communication about check in and check out was very clear and smooth, and the host was very responsive. The cottage is adorable as far as decor and the perfect space for 4 adults. Having a fully functional kitchen, washer/dryer, and fire pit was a really nice perk!

Amanda was great. The house was clean, comfortable, well stocked and in a great location. The only issue was that it was a bit musty and smelled damp. We had good weather,, so we were able to open windows which helped.. A humidifier might help as well. Overall, it was a great vacation and we would recommend the house and Acadia!

Otter Cliff Cottage had everything we needed for a great stay in Acadia. The location was perfect. Close to Bar Harbor and Seal Cove and only 1/2 hour to get to the quiet side. Trail at the end of the street led to Quarry Trail, down to Otter Cove and on to Thunder Hole. The cottage was dog friendly, clean and kitchen well appointed. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pit making s'mores. Overall a great place ro stay.

The house was in great condition and had everything we need. The best part is the location. Outside of the tourist craze of Bar Harbor but with easy access when you feel like that. Location couldn't be better. You can get to the trailheads quickly to some of the most popular hikes in the park by walking or a short drive.

Great location to get away from the crowds of Bar Harbor after a day of shopping and Acadia. The fire pit made for great night time relaxation. The kitchen was spacious and fully stocked with all cookware and utensils. Would definitely stay here again.

I highly recommend this cottage! It was in tip top shape, had everything we needed, and was steps away from trails that led to Otter Cove, Sand Beach, and the Ocean path to Otter Cliffs. The host has thought of everything and it was a delight!
