Super location with excellent spacious rooms. The staff were excellent and so helpful. The rooms were grand and the gardens were very well kept with. The breakfast was lovely and ample.

Hier gillt noch, dass der Kunde König ist, denn genau so wurden wir während unseres gesamten Aufenthaltes behandelt. Hierbei schaffte das Personal auch den schwierigen Spagat dahin, dass es nicht aufgesetzt, aufdringlich oder unangenehm wirkte. Auch die Ausstattung des Hotels würden wir als kolonial-royal bezeichnen. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und die Badezimmer mit Dusche UND Whirpool ausgestattet, draußen auf dem Terrasse gibt es Hängesessel. Es gibt verschiedene Frühstücksvarianten und trotzdem wird noch auf individuelle oder spontane Wünsche eingegangen. Der Koch kam (und es handelte sich einfach nur um das Frühstück) aus der Küche um sich selbst zu erkundigen ob es geschmeckt hat. Kleine Vorwarnung: Da das. Hotel komplett mit einem Teppich ausgelegt ist, tauscht man schon an der Rezeption seine Schuhe gegen Slipper ein.

Das Hotel ist nicht mehr ganz neu. Es ist zwar nichts vernachlässigt worden, aber man merkt es ein wenig. Der Spiegel im Bad ging nicht oder wir waren mit den vielen Schalten einfach überfordert. Da viel mit dunklem Holz gearbeitet wurde, muss das Bad bei Benutzung (ans Licht gekoppelt) mit einem etwas lautem Lüfter zwangsentlüftet werden.

Very attentive, professional and friendly staff in a very comfortable old british Bungalow that only has four rooms. The amazing breakfast can be custom ordered the evening before and can be had in the very well tended-for garden or in the indoors dining room. At least three waiters, two cooks, one gardener and one manager make for perfect Service in quality and speed. We loved our room with jacuzzi and garden terrace as well as the very quiet location close to Victoria park. When we go bsck to Nuwara eliya we will stay in "La Grande Villa" again.

At first we did miss a mosquito net but in fact the electric vaporizer worked perfectly. We were happy with everything

This hotel is a gem--situated in a beautiful area within walking distance to Victoria Lake . Amazing historic charm but comfy bed and spa bathtub. The staff brought me tea in the afternoon and I was able to ride at the turf club nearby. Amazing experience.

The room was spotless, one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have seen. The bathroom and the outdoor patio were spectacular too. Overall, really enjoyed the quiet and calm. The bed was very comfortable.

Hotel staff is super friendly, they packed my breakfast cause I had to leave early in the morning. The garden is very sweet like the pictures, but much smaller. Room is spacious. Tuktuk driver who took me to Horton Plains is highly recommended. Special thanks to Ranjith (you can ask the hotel owner to book him)

The location is a bit away from the main road. Cover a a bit dirty. You have to remove shoes every time entering the property, but they don’t give you new slippers. In the evenings there’s loud music and I called reception but nobody answered. My comments is genuine but not sure why it got deleted? If it’s keep happening means it is misleading other guest.

The food was mediocore. For the same amount I am paying, i get more luxurious services in the heart of Colombo. Didn't feel secure as the door is locked by key with no internal latch. A person with a spare key can easily access it.

It’s a beautiful villa surrounded by a nice garden, and the hot tub in the room was definitely a plus.
