Very clean, comfortable rooms. Lovely pool area. Great restaurant. Had a wonderful time with my driver, Mohammed who was organised c/- the hotel. Highly recommend!

Ambiance, the people and culture. Mr Said and his colleagues were kind, helpful and amazing. They made my stay excellent and homely. I will def go back.

It was very clean, the breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We spent 4 nights here and could have staed longer. Luxor has enough sights and interesting places for an even longer stay and Jewel Howard Carter was a perfect choice. Relaxing, quiet, modern, convenient, nicely furnished - everything that you need for a memorable stay. Mr. Saeed helped us with ideas, organizing boat trasfer to the East Bank. We quickly felt like home, got to know the neighbours, children, dogs. Real rural surrounding, but very close to all the West Bank sites and an easy boat trip to Luxor temple. Highly recommended.

Dès le premier soir lors de Check in, nous avions payé pour une chambre double lors de notre arrivé le manager said nous amène dans une simple chambre avec lit jumeaux et nous dis que pour avoir une chambre double il faut payé plus alors que nous avions payé sur booking le prix d’une chambre double. Sa solution a été de simplement colle les lits avec aucun dédommagement de sa part. ( le séjour commence mal). De plus dans la chambre nous avons trouvé un cafard et la douche de la salle de bain bouché avec énormément de saleté et cheveux qui bloquait l’évacuation. ( propreté qui laisse vachement à désiré) Que dire de plus de leur restaurant d’hôtel qui est extrêmement cher pour l’Égypte puisqu’il affiche directement les prix en dollars, tout est très très cher et honnêtement la nourriture est fade voir pas bonne du tout, selon les jours les plats ne sont pas pareil et il faut attendre 1h-1h30 pour être servie. Le manager se tourne les pouces toute la journée c’est même le chef qui cuisine qui doit amené également les plats à table à certain moments. Pour finir il s’agit d’un gros attrape touriste je ne recommande à personne di séjourner et surtout de ne pas manger à leur restaurant.

I really liked the high quality and the cleanliness of the place. I was also gifted an even nicer room by the manager, Said, when I arrived who also helped me with arranging a taxi driver and other means of transportation such as boat and tuk tuk at a very good price. Much appreciated. So the room was very clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Wonderful bed and bathroom. I slept really well. The food was amazing, especially when it was done by Mohammad, who was also a lovely, helpful person. Another member of staff Ahmed, who was also really nice , attentive and helpful, went the extra mile.. I loved that the hotel was very peaceful which allowed me to relax .The people who run the place are very friendly, genuine, good hearted people. I had the pleasure to meet the owner, who was also a really nice person. There is also a clean and beautiful pool to be used. I would highly recommend this place, if you like a peaceful, clean place with good people.

This place is an absolute find. It has large spacious rooms, large seating areas downstairs. A gorgeous pool with view of their own vegetable garden across into the Nile. Syed organised a driver for us for valley of the kings and everything was perfect. Syed even organised a hot air balloon for us at a much reduced rate to online options, he was so helpful. All staff here were so friendly, chatted to us and were very welcoming. We loved the local dust street, farmers with their donkeys and carts, it was a real taste of Egypt local life yet it was only 60 to 100EGP or 5 minute spin to ferry or local town centre. We were sad to leave because this place exceeded our expectations on all fronts. The West Bank was beautiful and definitely our preferred option to the traffic, noise and husslers on the busy east bank. We cannot thank the staff and Syed here enough.

We loved this hotel, I can’t even say what we liked most because everything was incredible. All the team was amazing with us, simple and gentle people! Their hospitality was out of this world, the food delicious and the room was always so clean and with a bouquet of flowers waiting for us. They did their best to accommodate our needs and answer our questions. The pool was a big plus since it’s very hot in Luxor! 100% recommend to everyone!

Very nice and clean hotel. Big Nubian stile apartment with fridge and big bed. Balcony with amazing view of the Nile. Big and clean swimming pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast, you can get good food in the restaurant. Very peaceful and nice, we had a great time there. Really recommend it.

The hotel is located away from the bustle in the centre of Luxor in a quiet residential area between banana plantations and ideal to unwind and relax. The service was outstanding, the room and hotel very clean and the food in the restaurant excellent. The hotel has views of the Nile river from the terrace, a nice little pool to refresh and a whirlpool on the rooftop. Yes, it is a bit further away from the main tourist areas and on an unpaved street, but its easily possible to organize a Tuktuk ride of a few minutes to the ferry or get picked up and dropped of by your guide or a taxi. Our children loved to see a donkey and a camel across the street.

Breakfast needs improvement

The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Wonderfully quiet and serene, great view of the Nile and East bank. Food was different and delicious and cooked from local ingredients. Bonus- There is a camel just outside the hotel, what a bonus!

Beautiful! Friendly! Good food! When we decided, fairly late in the day, to visit Luxor Temple, our host was quick to arrange a delightful driver to take us to the east bank and the temple. When, on our way, traffic over the little canal was temporarily blocked (due to the visit of a British royal), our driver got us bottled water and bananas and helped my mother out in order to watch the surrounding scene. Spectacular!

When our host saw my 93-year/old mother, he changed our room to one on the ground floor; while this was done with the best intentions and a kind heart, we would have much preferred our originally-booked room up one flight of stairs. The room we were given was very dark with practically no natural light and no view. We were only staying for one night, so didn’t bother asking to be moved.

This hotel was a little quiet oasis in chaotic Luxor .Our room had a lovely view across the Nile which was just magical early in the morning .There is so much bird life in the area and the hotel is surrounded by quaint farmland .The owner organised a driver to take us around the sites for a reasonable price which was appreciated .The Wait staff and owner were very attentive and even insisted on making me mint tea when I had a bad cough .The dinner was fine and the beer and wine passable . The pool looked nice and seemed to be cleaned every day .

we arrived in the evening and hadn’t eaten since breakfast .We asked for a drink and a little food …even some bread and hummus would have been fine .The drink arrived and we waited for the food …and waited ..and waited .Finally we gave up and went to bed .There is a kitchen and a fridge in the room but no facilities to make a cup of tea .Not even a cup or glass . The breakfast was OK but the croissants were stale and inedible every day

I loved the place and the people, both in the hotel and in the surrounding area. The west bank is such a pleasant change from the noise and hassle of the east bank. My favourite part was starting and ending each day, walking to/from the ferry through fields by the river. Oh, and the invite to meet Achmed's family one evening, which was something special.

A tiny gripe is that curtains could be wider, to block out a bit more of the early morning sunlight.

We liked that we could tell that care had been taken to facilitate a great stay. The staff were kind and respectful. The view on the Nile is beautiful, and the atmosphere is calm with birds singing while you have breakfast and watch boats on the Nile pass.

While we were traveling there were some renovations taking place downstairs, so for those sensitive to concrete dust I would enquire ahead and pick a room on the other side.

The Wi-Fi did not work in my room, but it wasn’t a problem! It worked well in the common area!
