The Only thing I liked was that the kitchen had a modern fridge. There were cutlery items available for use although a limited basic amount.

No Power Backup as claimed by previous reviews. I suspect many of the previous reviews might have been written by bots. We had to endure four hours plus without any electricity. No covered parking for my vehicle, and I own a vehicle with a wrap that simply cannot be left in the sun. We stayed in the Executive Suite, which is supposedly the best room on offer. Basic amenities inside the "suite" like a table, or a chair, was not present. We had to sit and eat on the bed because of that. As if we weren't uncomfortable enough, the main door is glass and everyone can see what you are doing the moment you go to the kitchen our the broken cupboard with no hangers, so we had to live out of our suitcase. You pay a thousand rand plus for the Executive Suite PER NIGHT, mind you, only to feel like you have just checked into a University dorm room. The Mattress on the bed is rock hard, I didn't know somebody sells a mattress that hard. The shower has no door. You stand in the open and shower.Needless to say, we checked out early losing a full nights worth of a paid-for stay, because staying here was literally that unbearable. We literally felt better about losing/forfeiting our hard-earned money than staying here for another night. Unacceptable.

The back up power to make up was a definite plus, the aircon was a definite need given the cold weather. The room was kitted with all the necessary appliances and eating utensils. The TV and streaming setup were undoubtedly the highlight of the stay.

The booking system is flawed with regards to room allocation, the venue seems to allocate the nearest available room instead of the room you book. I booked the 1 bedroom apartment but was given the studio apartment which was a bit confusing. The electric blanket was also deffective and only worked on half the bed.

It had backup for loadshedding and in a quiet area.

During this time of load shedding, they had generator back up. Our room was cozy. Also there was air conditioning and electric blanket since it’s winter. Enjoyed Netflix too🙂

the washing machine wasn’t working at the time, so unable to do washing. the hot water wasn’t working the first day but by the next morning was back and perfectly hot

Nothing too interesting

Wifi was really slow . The generator ,made the lights flicker most of the time . Dstv was an app not a decoder, so obviously when the internet is slow the app takes long to load. They should get a proper decoder

Everything was wonderful, the room exceeded my expectations. For a longer stay, I would love a room with a view but will arrange with Mathilda for next time. I will certainly be back!
