There was nothing to like - this is unsafe, unclean and doesn’t look like photos. False advertising.

The host (older male) snuck into my bedroom after 11pm while I was SLEEPING!!!!!! I screamed “get out” and he didn’t leave instead walked closer to me while I was laying in bed, I jumped out of bed and pushed him out and blocked off the door. As a vulnerable young girl I was scared for my life. I acted fast and got out, the host was waiting for me and followed me out the door and down the street. It was like a horror story. Thankfully the worst didn’t happen and I woke up before he carried out any of the terrible things he planned to do. That’s the closest I felt to feeling I’m going to die/ be murdered. Ended up paying a lot for a premier inn last minute as I was left strolling around at midnight in London. I’ve informed the police and booking.com, the police have taken it very seriously unfortunately booking.com haven’t, they haven’t taken any actions to make it right and have not responded to my email sent 5 days ago despite multiple follow up emails. This experience and how it’s been handled has put me off using booking.com ever again in future — they don’t care about your safety. Be very cautious and don’t believe all the info presented to you on this site, the fact this listing is still on here says it all.

the host was friendly.

The heater wasn’t working. There was a draft coming in through the window. The Netflix channel was in Spanish and I couldn’t change the settings to English. The chocolates on the drawer were stale. It was a cold and dingy. And you could hear all the noise from all the other rooms. And I couldn’t get hold of the host when I was trying to get into the flat. Tried contacting him on the numbers I was provided but went straight to voicemail. He eventually called me and said he’d be there in ten minutes after I finally managed to let myself in. He definitely took way longer than ten minutes to get to us and welcome us.

We had an emergency and had to stay in a hotel, this place was exactly what we needed. It has a kitchen with a lot of pots, a clean nice bathroom and a good room. Nice big tv! Super close to Finsbury Park, which is where we needed to be. If we’ll need a place in the area again, we’ll definitely come back.

Location of rooms was excellent. Close to the train station and tube. Very close to the venue I was attending for education. Rooms, shared bathrooms and toilets and facilities were always clean.

Located on a busy street with lots of shops so can be a bit noisy at times during the day and on the weekends
