The property was clean and comfortable

Stairs were a nightmare, access to the lock box at night was very difficult as the numbers were very hard to see. Took a while after flying on 3 planes to get there

Upon arrival my unit had not been cleaned from previous stay! Contacted Lisa who send someone to clean . This was a half job done . The kitchen floor and bathroom floors were not mopped. The dish brush from the kitchen was taken to bathroom to clean what ?? I had to clean fridge before putting my things in the fridge. Cleaning fee which was included in the room price was $80 I got a refund of $40. Contacted Lisa via message to say I wasn’t happy no response.Unit below were Jack hammering which echoed up the stairwell. On going evening going out Friday I fell in the unlit stairwell . No lights on ! There is no mention anywhere that lights do not come on automatically and where to turn them on! I am now having medical treatment for my injuries. And have message Lisa with regards to this but once again no response. They have failed their duty of care to provide instructions on where the light switches are and also not having automatic lighting in the stairwell when there are people in the stairwell. I

Very close to Home of the Arts

There was no lift. Access to the property was up three flights of stairs. This information could only be found later in the small print when viewing their website.

Good location, short walk to beach, cafes, etc. Far enough that not disturbed by busy town centre. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, nice balcony to sit with a coffee.

Could do with more towels (I know there is a washing machine but I’m on holiday and don’t want to do a laundry) No instructions to work Wi-Fi , air conditioning, etc. Would also be nice to have a local guide for cafe recommendations, bike hire, etc

The Location

After Queensland re-opening to overseas visitors (re Covid) paying almost $4000 to live for 25 days in a 'filthy unhygienic' Gold Coast apartment with broken wardrobe door and 50 + other anomalies. With nowhere else to go to over a fully booked Easter period and not much being done to resolve anything. No apologies or care by the owner apart from a begrudgingly 2 night refund! Never will I trust Chevron Sails or Booking.com again. As for the pool and surrounds they also matched the apartment all advertising photos must be years old!! Far too many photos taken to show but I have them on file, trust me it was a nightmare...... By

Unit was very clean, comfortable and close to the Chevron Island shopping centre. Had everything we required for our weekend away.

Unit is on the third floor and only accessible by stairs. Not to many but Im not great with stairs

Loved the view! The apartment was spacious and clean on arrival. Having a separated bedroom from the main space was lovely. Kitchen quality was exceptional. The location overall was perfect as it was in walking distance of Cavill Avenue and the main shopping area, yet was in a quiet and peaceful area.

The building the apartment was in was not the nicest quality along with the pool area. Some of the lighting and fans weren't working/flickering when used.

The host was lovely and very helpful - my mobile with the booking instructions died on the way there but we were able to obtain her number from booking.com- she answered at 5.30 on a Friday night and was really friendly and easy-going and provided the instructions for obtaining the keys. The place was really nice too! All-round great stay :)

Hot water isn’t very hot and poor water pressure in the shower. But otherwise brilliant

Stairs, hot water is tricky to get right

This is a lovely modern-renovated apartment. There is a lovely view from the balcony over the canal. The apartment is very well designed. The bath has jets and is fantastic, and deceptively big - both of us sat in it comfortably. The washing machine/dryer was lovely and quiet (it would have been nice to have been provided basic instructions. I googled how to use it). The kitchen is a great size and has everything you need. The location is a short 10 minutes walk from Surfers Paradise, but was lovely and quiet. The hosts were on hand to answer any questions we had. We didn't use the pool but I am sure it would be lovely in summer. There is a private carpark under the building. I would definitely stay here again!

The kitchen and bathroom taps ran lukewarm (the shower was hot though, and great water pressure). When we ran a bath we had to top it up from boiled water from the stove and kettle. As we stayed three nights it would have been good to know where to take the kitchen bins once they were full (though we figured it out eventually).
