Accommodation was great....secluded but had everything you needed. Short drive to town centre, Aldi & Lidl

It was well equipped and well located. It was very quiet and private. The cooking facilities were good: we cooked three meals whilst we were there. The seating area was comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and left us a lovely welcome package. I’d say it takes about a 35 minutes to walk to the centre of Kilkenny. It was a pleasant walk. Although I wouldn’t like to walk the route in the dark, but it was great, at this time of year, to be able to leave the car behind.

We are used to a super king size bed and found the bed quite narrow. However it was a standard 5ft bed and comfortable.

Great accommodation in an excellent location. we really enjoyed our short stay here.

The peacefulness and quiet around the area

Beautiful cabin, such a comfortable living area and everything you need for your stay is to hand. Stove and bottle of bubbly was great.

It's minor really but the bed is quiet small for a double

We had a lovely three night stay at Alder Cabin it's more suited to a couple, the host Donna met us upon arrival and was very welcoming she had the essential items of food left for us. The stove was lovely to have and very warm with only one stick at a time on it. Donna had left it ready to light with plenty of firewood also. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there plenty of kitchen utensils etc

The only negative feedback I can say is about the bathroom it has no shelves to place your toiletries etc and no hook on the door to hang clothing. Also the shower is directly at the door as you open it and is a wet room style so all the water gets all over the floor and dragged out into the living area also the smell from the shower trap was a bit overpowering so we had to keep the door closed. Also the TV only has Netflix this didn't bother us too much

This perfectly outfitted and spacious cabin was in a quiet spot (although a bit of a walk from the city centre). But then you can't have everything :-). Staples were provided for breakfasts, and Donna was excellent in her communications.

It helped to have a car to get into city centre
