The shower tray is very slippery and I almost slipped as did my friend after I had given them a warning. could be very dangerous for an older person. I advised the receptionist about it and she said she would pass it on. 2 of the bulbs were gone but again we advised receptionist at checkout. overall very pleasant stay. was a little cold in the room… possibly due to high energy costs. staff very accommodating.

Very helpful staff organised everything for me

Very clean hotel, the staff were very friendly and professional. Food was excellent and affordable. The beds were very comfortable.

Just a little far from the town centre.

The rooms were very clean and bed comfortable. The breakfast was standard. The coffee was good. The household manager was extremely helpful and very nice. She proved excellent customer service (this was not true of all staff).

The main downside was the receptionist. We travelled with 3 separate families and all families found him to be rude and unhelpful. It felt as if he was doing me a favour booking me in. He also told me any request I had made through booking.com would not be met. I had also made a request ( the same request ) via the reservations team at the hotel, however he said that was not noted on my booking. To be honest it set us up to a bad start to the trip and was upsetting. We are a family of four and our rooms were very far apart which was going to be very impractical. Luckily a lovely manager, named Catherine I think, was just passing (I feel she may have been leaving for the day) and she asked were we okay. She sorted out rooms next to each other which changed our visit/experience and without this it would have been a very unpleasant visit. She also was around checking in on people the following day and just overall vastly improved the customer experience. It does not take a whole lot to make a effort to make someone's stay (which they are paying a lot for these days) pleasant and a nice experience. The front of house in this hotel probably needs some customer service training.
