I liked the hotel a lot - it is exactly my favourite type of hotels, with very basic design, all in black and white with no decorations, when there are all types of basic facilities available and working well, everything is very clean and comfortable.
The staff is very helpful. There is a kettle in the room as well as tea, coffee, sugar, milk (real, not creamer) and even little packs of oatmeal. The wifi worked just fine, no issues. There is a pub right under the hotel (initially the crofts is a pub i think), but it was not noisy in the room even when it was noisy in the pub. and truly, if i did indeed get the single room i requested, i can say it is very spacious (i will attach photos). The room is very warm too, the heating worked just fine.
The staircases are very narrow and rather steep - be careful. In the winter the floor in the room can get a little cold - i wish i had brought slippers. None of these things are a problem really.

I was working at the University, its about a 15 minute walk so really convenient. Free on street parking - once I had worked it out was a bonus as well.

Not really a hotel more like an air BnB - nobody there as all keyless entry. This wasn’t an issue as such but feel it shouldn’t be described as an hotel and you should be informed there is no check in/out/reception etc.
Above a pub again not explained.

This place was really modern, really clean and very soundproof! The price was really good for the quality, and I actually walked into town and back from the hotel, it was only 20 mins. Staff were really friendly, and the breakfast was amazing! Would def stay here again!

The staff were quite rude. Could hear them saying I was ‘taking the piss’ by leaving at 5 minutes past check out time.

The bed was extremely comfortable in the twin room.
Very impersonal greeting. Just pointed to where the door was and told to put code in. Shower was very badly designed and the teaspoons in the rooms were dirty.

Before arriving at the hotel I received a text message with my room number and my door code. Upon arriving to a warm welcome I was shown how to enter and to my room. The rooms are keyless and work with a unique code which I thought was a fantastic idea and made for an easy check in & out.
My room was very clean, had all the amenities I needed, the bedding was super comfortable and the shower was incredible!
I chose the hotel because it was a short taxi to my work location. The room instructions had a number for a local cab company which I used a few times (Dragon).
The Crofts Hotel/Pub appeared to be undergoing some renovations on the exterior but this did not hinder my stay at all. People were very helpful and kind in the area.
The pictures suggested that the location had food on site which is always convenient for me and something I look for. Upon arrival this was not the case, but there were lots of options just a 5mins walk away which were well directed to me by the staff.

My room was a new extension so everything was new, especially the bathroom which exceeded my expectations.
The room was on the small size, and didn't have a place to put mt suitcase.

Perfectly placed 5 - 10 minute walk from restaurants / bars the Crofts. Excellent good value for money breakfast. Also good location to quickly reach motorways for travel to the many great golf courses within an hour

The noise from what I assume to be staff cleaning upstairs at 7 am did not amuse me, then builders working just after 8 am. And enough tea bags to last my 2 nights would have been nice as they weren't replenished.

The room was tiny, and only just big enough for the bed. That was OK for me alone, but not suitable for more than one, or anyone who wished to spend time there.

Cozy little hotel. Friendly staff, always ready to help. Excellent breakfast. 20 minutes walk to city centre. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking, but it is easy to find a place for a car nearby. The room is clean and well refurbished. The beds are comfortable. We liked everything!

The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also spotless, with a great shower. All in all, a very good room for the price.
The only slight problem was that the text we received didn't say that there is no check-in. You can just go straight to the entrance around the side of the building, type in your access code and go straight to the room. We went into the pub to ask about it, as we couldn't find the hotel entrance at first, but the lady there was really friendly and helpful.

I found a couple of unrestricted parking spaces as I approached the hotel but then discovered one just in front of it. The 24 hour access via key code was convenient. The city centre is walkable.
My attic room was quite compact and the bed head was just underneath the velux window, which I would have otherwise kept slightly open for more ventilation. Noisy seagulls woke me up very early.
