The property was amazing. It had everything we wanted including very close to my son’s home and across the street from my granddaughter’s school Being so close to the Muni and West Portal was definitely a plus. Would stay here again

West Portal, where this super comfortable home is located, is a part of San Francisco that, though I'd worked in the City and visited countless times, I was unaware of. The area has everything for a base to explore the Bay Area. Walk to half a dozen good restaurants, solid public transport options, dynamic (sometimes a lotta fog) weather, and parks nearby. There's not much traffic and the neighborhood feel is authentic. The home has pretty much anything you'd need, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, spacious living room and dining area. Super quiet at night. Book this home and you won't be disappointed (and I'm picky!).

Deb's property was perfect for my husband, son and me on our five-day stay in San Francisco. Close to everything but just far enough to be out of the fray, this two bedroom, one bath property was clean, comfortable and very homey. We had been traveling for several days prior so we were thrilled to have access to laundry. The owner Deb was easy to reach, pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay again if/when we return to SF!

This was the perfect home and location for our visit to SF. It was so clean, cozy and comfortable with everything you need to feel "at home." Debra is a wonderful host and personally welcomed us which was such a bonus! It's a block away from several great restaurants in West Portal. We rented a car and parking is included-a huge plus since we didn't have to worry about street parking. It's easy to get to other parts of the city like Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, the Marina and the Golden Gate Bridge. And, SF Muni/Metro station is right there in West Portal for easy access to downtown. It's a fabulous home and our go-to for future visits!

My brother and his family stayed there while they were visiting me in SF. The location of the house and the layout was so perfect! Muni station block away gave them easy access to shopping in downtown and Stonestown mall. They also enjoyed the park across the street and the library 2 min away. Most of all, Debra was very thoughtful and communicative that we felt always welcomed. We will definitely come back. Thank you, Debra!!

Beautiful property in an excellent neighborhood. Two minute walk to the nearest metro stop. 15 minutes and you’re right downtown if you wish. Centrally located for access to all the usual tourist spots. Lovely owner who is super helpful. The property itself is a period home. We enjoyed the amenities. Comfy beds and pillows. Nice hot shower. West portal has a ton of restaurants. We just took takeaway most days and enjoyed dinner at home. Cooked breakfast most mornings. The kitchen is well stocked. All in all, an excellent stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!!

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The apartment itself is spacious, clean & comfortable. But it was the location that made our stay so memorable - just a short walk from the public transportation hub at West Portal with great restaurants and interesting shops. We felt like we weren’t just tourists but part of the neighborhood.

Our family enjoyed a great week in this charming, well-equipped house. Arrival was seamless, and Deb was warm and responsive in making our visit a breeze. Location couldn’t have been better for visiting family in West Portal. Being a block from the train and having a worry-free parking spot in the driveway also made it easy to venture further afield. We hope to be back on our next visit to SF!

This VRBO is the entire main floor of a classic, historic small home (20's I think?) of the iconic architecture this area of San Francisco is known for; filled with bay and other large windows. The lovely interior is decorated consistent with the period, like you'd find in a professionally designed "bed and breakfast." The house is stocked with everything a traveler would need to feel comfortable (kitchen cookware/ condiments/ shampoos/ soaps/ linens, etc.) and this owner goes above and beyond to reach out to ensure everything is to your satisfaction before you even have to ask. She responds within minutes to any communications.(She even voluntarily and compassionately helped us with a family issue unrelated to our rental, which we will be eternally grateful for!) The VRBO also includes use of the washer and dryer in the garage. The location is superb; you are one block's walk away from a gem of a long-standing SF neighborhood filled with terrific family-owned restaurants, a bakery, book store, market, drug store, historic ice cream /candy shop, and basically anything you need. Also the quick SF public transportation muni/subway is also a block away, so you don't need a car to enjoy SF while staying here. However, if you do have a car, this VRBO provides parking in the driveway of the home (and parking is hard to find in most SF neighborhoods). My husband, our adult son and I spent a wonderful Christmas holiday here!

Wonderful West Portal neighborhood, close to shops and transit

Great property. Quiet neighborhood. Place was absolutely immaculate. Lots of options for coffee and breakfast within walking distance. MUNI station nearby made everything easily accessible. Would definitely book again.

Deb and the west portal location were a dream come true. Perfect cozy warm and welcoming. Easy access to muni and walkable to the main street with shops and restaurants. Bulls head Burgers down the street *chefs kiss*. 😂🤣

This place was exactly what we needed for out stay. Debra was amazing in hosting us and the house was so homely. She was clear with everything in our experience and helped out if we had any questions. The home is directly across a playground (1 min walk tops) and also a short walk or drive to West Portal Ave. We would stay here again if we needed!

What an amazing location and place to stay if you want to be near it all but not squashed in a hotel room!! Deb was wonderful with answering all our questions about things to do, ways to get around, nearby stores, etc. even before arriving. When we got to the property, we found it to be just what we needed and exactly as described. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bathroom had all necessities, and everything was clean and tidy. We especially enjoyed access to the laundry facilities so that we could wash up our clothes after a week of vacation. We could not have asked for more. The LOCATION though was the best part--right at the end of the muni line...you are steps away from heading straight to Fisherman's wharf, the Ferry Building, etc. Thank you Deb!

The owner of the property, Deb, was extremely nice and we would definitely stay again if we are in the area! The park across the street was so nice, we only wish we had one just like it! The food in downtown West Portal which is s few minute walk was amazing! The best pizza we’ve ever had . We can’t say enough about the home and location and Deb!

The furnishings and kitchen appliances may be a bit dated, but the place is actually nicer and more comfortable than the pictures indicate. The West Portal neighborhood where it’s located is great for families, close to the beach and the local shopping district.

The house was perfect! VERY clean and more spacious than I expected. It had the homey, comfy feel we were looking for. Well stocked and supplied (better quality than other VRBOs we have stayed at). Very close to great restaurants and MUNI. Debra was very responsive and helpful. We even stayed an extra day because we were so happy in the house!! Debra was very accommodating and seemed to truly care about our stay without being intrusive. We lived in the area for a long time and are so happy to find our go to spot in SF. We will be back! We live in Forest Hills and my parents wanted their own space during a longer visit and Deb's house was perfect. Super-clean, walkable and as described with great communication. We'll definitely book her place for future visits.

My wife, teenage son, and I enjoyed our stay at this property. We found it to be very clean with a well-stocked kitchen. The off street parking was much appreciated. The house is two blocks away from the storefronts of West Portal. We enjoyed take out from Little Original Joe's and The Submarine Center in the neighborhood. The house was as advertised and very comfortable for our family.

This home was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owner was helpful and very accommodating. It's was centrally located for us to get our granddaughter to school each morning in Pacific Heights. West Portal town was a short walk away with all the conveniences. There is a school across the street and a large field and park to play in. Great experience all around for us!

This small home in West Portal (WP) is actually large by SF standards. Can park one car in driveway (even a large SUV), which is rare thing in SF. Sometime we walk but often took Muni, which is a short block away. WP is a great 3 block long area of shops and great restaurants (Noe Valley bakery is a legend). Home has washer/dryer and all the conveniences of a small kitchen and dining area. Two great bedrooms, high quality linens and towels, and an adequate bathroom. We were able to easily and quickly communicate with the owner, who left a great guide book of area attractions and restaurants as well as a well documented explanation of "house rules." We will return as SF is one of our favorite locations to spend a week or several.

We stayed just before moving into West Portal, and it was a wonderful introduction to our neighborhood! The description is accurate, we were living like locals.

My wife, son and I enjoyed our vacation week in San Francisco primarily because of our location on Lenox Way in West Portal. The house is in a quiet, safe neighborhood that is convenient to Muni transportation, local restaurants and stores. One unexpected treat was the late afternoon dog park across the street where we would go to sit, relax, discuss the day's excursions, and watch the dogs play.... a lot of fun. Couldn’t have picked a more comfortable, cozy sanctuary to come back to after trekking around San Francisco all day. It was the most well-stocked house we’ve ever rented on VRBO, which makes things much easier when you’re flying. Transportation, MUNI station, into the most popular downtown areas was SUPER close (not even a full block away) and the people there are super helpful in helping you get to whatever destination you desire. The little town of West Portal is adorable with a ton of restaurants and shops. Debra is a wonderful, caring host, who was always available to answer questions about the house or area.
