Beautiful house in a nice vacation town. Very close to beach and town center. The neighbors get a little testy about their parking though.

The house was great, well equipped and very clean. The location was also very convenient to everything we wanted (beach and easy walk to shops). Just a few items would have made it perfect... a full length mirror, a couple of extra bath towels and a clothesline in the back to hang beach towels and bathing suits. Overall, would recommend this property and would book again.

This property was close to the beach and an excellent choice for a large family. Future renters should be aware that the view of the beach is partially blocked and that the primary view is of subsidized housing units located directly across the street. The house had just about everything one would need for a weeks rental. Our only complaint would be that the main living room furniture was a faux leather loveseat and sofa that was peeling so badly that the owner had it covered with partial slip covers that constantly bunched and slid off - pieces of the faux leather sloughed off to the floor and we which required frequent vacuuming. We felt that this furniture should have been replace considering the price we paid for the rental. We also felt there was not enough seating for the number of people this house can accommodate. My family would rent this property again but not with the living room furniture in the condition it is in.

We are delighted with the property, and have stayed at it before. It's an easy walk to the beach, even for the kids, and a quick golf cart ride into the heart of Cape Charles. All of the bedrooms are spacious, and having a master on the first floor is a plus. The kitchen is nicely stocked. It is a really nice place and we hope to stay there again.

Located only half a block from the beach made it possible to go there easily and often. Beautiful front porch with rockers provided the opportunity to sit and enjoy. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Beautiful, new, well-equipped home; great location a block from the beach; friendly and fun little town with quaint shops, excellent restaurants, golf cart rentals, and free fishing pier. Would definitely return.

Oyster Bed Inn was such a perfect getaway for our family. We loved being so close to the beach and their home had everything we needed. It was very clean and Lauren was such a great host. Great communication, she filled us in on everything about the house ahead of time which was wonderful. My daughters 6 and 2 had such a great time at the beach too, plenty for them to do. We met a few locals that were super nice and told us some great places to check out. Make sure you rent paddle boards and kayaks they were so fun to have on the calm waters! We will definitely be back!

This was our second stay at the Oyster Bed Inn. It couldn’t have been better. The owner was very cordial and helpful. The house was immaculate. Great instructions on how to take care of the home. The location is perfect. You can walk to the beach and to town. Highly recommend!

We loved this house! Layout was comfortable for a large group...beautiful, well-equipped kitchen. Big pans for shrimp boil, etc. (Pro-tip: Get your oysters from Nottingham Seafood for 40 cents a piece if you are willing to shuck yourself.) Nice linens and abundant towels. Sparkling clean! Liked having the upstairs area in the middle of the bedrooms with an extra TV. Good spot for teens to play Xbox (bring your own) or for little kids to play without being underfoot downstairs. Location was convenient for beach days and quick strolls and paddles on the bay. Right across from the apartments, but didn't mind a bit. Driveway just long enough to park our boat with truck attached. Only con is that there were problems with downstairs AC. Downstairs master bedroom was often sweltering. Owners were incredibly responsive and kind. Came to house to check it out, called weekend emergency HVAC company who came to make repair. Unfortunately, the fix didn't last and by the end of our week it was hot again. I would absolutely stay in this house again but I would confirm AC has been repaired.

My family recently stayed at this wonderful property for a week. My husband and I both commented that this was the first vacation in a long time that we haven't been anxious to return home by the end of the week. The house was perfect, large rooms, tall ceilings...I do not feel that the pictures online do it justice. It is so open and spacious- a perfect beach house. We loved the downstairs and upstairs porches. The kids loved to run around the upstairs porch while waiting for their shower after the beach. We loved watching the sunset from the upstairs porch or from the beach which was literally steps away. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and the homeowner was very responsive once a small issue came up. We would absolutely recommend this property and look forward to returning in the future!

This is year two for us at this property and it was another great year. The house has everything you need and is a short walk to the beach. The owner took our suggestion and added a second trash can, which was a huge help this year. We've looked at almost every house for rent in Cape Charles and this property's combination of a first floor master and three bathrooms can't be beat for our family. The only thing I might suggest is that it might be time for new couches. Looking forward to year three next summer!

Oyster bed and has lots of room for a big family. It seems to be one of the few houses offering 3 1/2 bathrooms. The beach is just a short walk away where evenings can surprise you with a fabulous beach sunset! Household is well stocked with all you need for a great vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Oyster Bed Inn, - our second vacation at this property. It is comfortable and well located for all Cape Charles activities. It is very clean, well furnished, and has a main floor master bedroom plus three other bedrooms - and is exactly right for my family. The kitchen is outstanding, and has filtered water. Also, new this year, CC Beach has cable locking for kayaks - near the house.

This was our first time to Cape Charles, and we couldn’t have found a better place. We needed a place to accommodate four adults and four kids (two 3 year olds, a 6 year old, and an 8 year old.) The Oyster Bed Inn was perfect for our group. There’s plenty of room, and everything is new and in great shape. The location is also perfect. It’s 1 block from the beach and probably the most popular spot for watching a sunset. We rented a golf cart to get around the quaint town of Cape Charles. The owner was very responsive to our questions. In all honestly, there wasn’t anything about the house we didn’t like. I would definitely come back.

Our long weekend at Oyster Bed Inn was excellent. My family and I enjoyed being near the beach and near the Oyster Farm Eatery and event center for my son's wedding. The home is BEAUTIFUL. Highly recommend this property.

Spent a week in May with family: 6 adults and 4 children under 4 years old. The property was spotless and very well appointed in decorating and kitchen supplies. Large open kitchen and living room was perfect for our family! Grill, beach chairs, umbrella, outdoor shower, games (we didn’t use thanks to beautiful weather) were appreciated amenities. The owners were very kind and prompt to answer all our questions prior to arrival. Wouldn’t hesitate to rent again!
