Usually when I hear the word "bungalow" I think of stripped down, surf locations, but this bungalow is really a fully outfitted little home. It has a really comfortable kitchen and sitting area with truly comfy sofas. The other rooms are small but equally comfortable for sleeping with REALLY GOOD beds, linens, pillows and the like. Mary Kay was lovely and went out of her way to greet us, answer questions and welcome us after a long ride up with banana nut bread and early access to the bungalow. The neighborhood is quiet and truly the beach is at the end of Camden lane. The yard is spacious and set up for sitting outside, showering off the beach and simply enjoying. We were five adults and the house was perfect for us, but with children there are other fun features like a separate sleeping outbuilding in a very safe yard. We will be back!

I've stayed in several rentals in Ventura County. This one was one of the best. Very cozy, great location, well decorated. The owner was great and easy to work with. I will definitely recommend to family and stay here again

Yes we were hungry for a getaway weekend and this adorable beach cottage was exactly what my husband and I needed! Who could imagine that just up the freeway in Ventura we would find our time to re-connect, relax, dine and embrace a perfect California weekend. This is truly a jewel with perfect size, décor, full ‘chef’ kitchen and amenities just like home…only steps from the beach. Quiet nights and glorious mornings greeted us. We took advantage of the amazing patio and had morning coffee in the warm sun and evening cocktails at sunset. We were a perfect evening walk away from great locally owned Italian and sushi restaurants and indulged in the local soft yogurt store on the way home. Every morning was either a walk on the beach or a walk through the neighborhood…so fun! We never started our car, that’s how perfect this location is…and if we needed to all services were a couple of blocks away. The owners have really created an oasis and the décor is high end…this is not your standard beach rental. Spotless, comfortable beds, bright light filled rooms and spaciousness is just what we needed. Next time, and there is definitely a next time, we are bringing our young grandchildren and can’t wait for beach days in the sand and playing at the nearby park.

I have had the pleasure of staying the last three months in this lovely vacation rental by the sea. It is definitely home away from home....it is very comfortable and ideally located to such places as Ventura Harbor and downtown area. It has a wonderful backyard for get togethers...I highly recommend this vacation rental for any amount of time that you want to spend close to beach...
