Fantastic and very energetic location. Many helpful new friends ready to please. The biggest hit was the young chap who supported us with all needs. He’s a one stop solver of all questions. Tip him big he’s fabulous.

Battered and bruised, terrible state of the entire building as well as the rooms. Things are breaking down, extremely small rooms, claustrophobia inducing room environment. Terrible. Get a hotel for half the price and save yourself the nausea.

Breakfast- Room delivery but the items are fixed, not variable (Luchi, boil egg, Daal vaji & Banana) Lost money, so be careful Cleanliness- Not up to the mark Took extra 400 rs in terms of booking.com confidentiality charge, don't know why? Never faced this before

Very hotel with a heritage structure, centrally located at a landmark place. Big rooms, huge doors and very friendly staff who were flexible and accommodating. The service was prompt. Reasonably priced

Very old CRT TV which we did not even switch on. The bathroom interior needs to be improved.

We had 2 suites here, which are spacious and well furnished. The place of accommodation is absolutely great. Breakfast was also delicious. The staff is very willing, kind and helpful. We thank you. We will definitely come again. For the money we paid, it was great.

You should not compare this property to any other conventional lodging in Kolkata. A once-in-a-lifetime experience is staying in this structure, which dates back almost 150 years. Additionally, those who want to travel to Kolkata for the New Market area's shopping and want to stay in a decent hotel at a reasonable price may find this heritage property to be a great choice. The answer will depend on the individual's perception of whether or not this property is being maintained well. From my perspective, everything is fine. Although the hotel has undergone numerous renovations, it still has an antic appearance. Although many things could be fixed and improved upon, the staff at the hotel is outstanding in their friendliness. Considering other hotels in the New Market area, every room in this historic building is extraordinarily spacious. You will feel unique vibes, especially given the height of the ceiling. Room air-conditioning and hot water in the shower are also available. The complimentary breakfast and dinner are simple but satisfying meals that are served in the room.

The hotel's entrance does not present a good first impression because it is filthy and practically invisible due to the footpath shop. The carpets on the stairs and in the common area are worn and need to be replaced. Not every room is of the same caliber, some rooms lack only a few amenities and fixers.

Laundry was completed in less than a day.

It has seen its better days and is crying to be cleaned and renovated. The hotel and the room is not clean, a lot of things are broken, its noisy, shower is not cleaned and hence does not work. We have arrived at 2am and just needed some rest, but the hotel staff kept coming to our room from the the morning and waking us up. They brought breakfast while we were still sleeping (which we did not eat as it was cold) and later kept coming to tell us to go to pay like 3 or 4 times, it's not like I will run away from my room, am I? Overall not recommending this place.
