Great room with a comfy bed and lots of space. Ideal for a short couples stay. The host also upgraded our room to one with a better view, free of charge! The area is quiet and the view of the stars is breathtaking.

The location is definitely inconvenient if you don't have a car.

Great friendly staff who greeted us and answered all our questions about the area. The lodge with the lake view is absolutely stunning, I was blown away! The room was lovely and a very comfortable bed!

Easy booking and check in

The room was freezing when we arrived, we only had a thin duvet ( not feather) and the air conditioning was very noisy. I had to sleep with a jersey and socks on! No electric blanket.

Wonderful, clean accomodation with views of the lake across from the living area. The rooms were bright, quiet and spacious and it offered everything that we needed. Andy the manager was very kind and took good care of our group.

Exceptional welcome by the host! We got a lot of information about the area and details about stargazing which was possible from the lawn directly besides the property (weather dependent though, we had a super clear night). The location was amazing, directly opposite the lake with great views (perfect for a stroll and run along the lakeside). The well known Church of the Good Shepard is either a few minutes drive or 15 minute walk away. The room was very clean and we felt comfortable throughout the whole stay! Would definitely stay here again!

Gap in door frame so in winter it would be cold. Could hear everything in the next door room.

Opening the doors and looking at the wonderful view of the snow covered mountains and the lake. The only thing that let this place down was that we were not given flannels. Andy our host, was very nice.

It's not a 'didn't like', just a suggestion - perhaps having sheer curtains that could be pulled across when you wanted, while you were sitting in your room during the day so that it was a bit more private.

Beautiful location near the lake and a 2 minute drive into town. Friendly hosts with lots of information for food and stargazing. Lovely room and stay in Lake Tekapo
